The Epstein Bill being Passed by the House and the Senate.

We have some historic good news when the House voted to release the Epstein files in a vote of 427-1. This shows that we Americans can come together to combat the scourge of abuse. There is no excuse for any human being, period to be dehumanized or mistreated at all. The only person who voted against this bill in the house is GOP Rep. Clay Higgins of Louisiana who said the fiction that the bill will harm innocent people. No, saving a life and holding criminals responsible for wicked actions will help save the lives of innocent people in the present and in the future. Now, the Epstein bill will go into the Senate. The Senate is more complex, as it has members with greater seniority. The Senate has passed the bill. This comes as Trump wants to sign the bill into law after weeks of opposing the bill. Also, this comes as the MAGA coalition splits apart. You have Trump calling Marjorie Taylor Greene a traitor, and Greene calling Trump a liar. We know that Trump is a habitual liar, but it is shocking to see Greene and Trump criticizing each other. A kingdom divided can't stand, and we are hopefully witnessing the beginning of the end of the MAGA cultic movement.

The Epstein discharge petition reached enough signatures with Adelita Grijalva. She was sworn in after a seven-week delay. The vast majority of Americans desire the total release of the Epstein files. Now, Trump wants all of the files released after he refused to support that effort for months. At the end of the day, this situation is about right vs. wrong. It's wrong for innocent human beings to be abused by sick monsters. Therefore, the files should be released, so anyone involved in abusing kids should be in prison after a trial. There has been a bipartisan event for people to support the release of the files. The Epstein release bill seems to be on the right footing to be passed. We Americans may disagree on many issues in the world, but on this issue, we are in total agreement. No one should get away from abusing children period. We will protect Americans and all innocent people.

Trump met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman at the White House. They shook hands and supported each other. There is controversy. It is well known that Saudi Arabia has issues with its human rights record which Trump has never told bin Salman at all. Trump wanted billions of dollars of Saudi investments in America. The Saudi crown prince and Trump saw fighter jets flying in the air. They had a lavish dinner in the East Room. This comes seven years after the U.S. intelligence services implicated Prince Mohammad in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Trump wanted to sell F-35 fighter jets to Riyadh. Trump wants the Abraham Accords framework with Israel and Saudi Arabia to normalize relations with each other. The Saudis want a Palestinian state as a prerequisite to support the Abraham Accords. Trump has minimized the murder of the journalist Khashoggi by calling him controversial, and things happen. Trump wants more business deals with Saudi Arabia.

Ken Burns is releasing his new documentary about the American Revolution in 2025. This year is 250 years since the start of the American Revolutionary War. Ken Burns has made some of the greatest documentaries in human history like The American Civil War. I watched the Civil War documentary in PBS back in the day when I was in elementary school. This new documentary is a six-part one filled with 12 hours in total. It doesn't sugarcoat the American Revolutionary era. The documentary talks about the brutality of slavery against African Americans and the suffering of Native Americans during that time period. We know that many Framers were wrong to own slaves. We know that the words in the Declaration of Independence which was written by Thomas Jefferson (who was from Virginia like me. I am a black Virginian. We Virginians know our history very comprehensively) focused solely on white land owning men alone (not all in the human race). Yet, the truth is that all humans are created equal, irrespective of race, color, sex, or background. The American Revolution was complicated. It was filled with Patriots, Loyalists, generals, soldiers, and battles. America nearly lost that war, but it had help from Spain, the Netherlands, France, etc. to cause a Patriot victory. The impact of the American Revolution (from the role of government, separation of powers, opposition to monarchy, and other issues) impacts our world today 250 years later. We have political polarization very high in our time, a Presidency who wants the executive branch to act beyond the concept of co-equal status, and has crushed many democratic rights among the people. That is why we should learn about the American Revolution and be inspired to promote justice for the human race with zeal and vigor. For us Americans, the American Revolution is the history about us literally.

Some more good news is that the court has blocked the Texas gerrymandering map. This was done by a U.S. federal court. Republicans used their map in trying to increase their majority in the 2026 midterm elections and beyond. The court stated that there is evidence that the new voting districts were "racially gerrymandered" and ordered the state to use the congressional lines that were in place before the redistricting earlier this year. It is obvious that the DOJ of the Trump administration wanted to redraw the map based on race to reduce the power of racial minorities in Texas. Republicans in the state legislature redrew voting districts mid-decade. They sorted people based on race. Texas Governor Greg Abbott wants to appeal the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court. Abbott is wrong, as voters pick their elected officials, not politicians. This decision is important and clear to try to stop Republicans to unfairly eliminating voter representation.
