The war and domestic issues.

In our time, we will never give up. Trump denies that his advocacy of a prosecution of James Comey has nothing to do with revenge but justice. Yet, Trump consistently can't stand anyone (especially political figures) dissenting with his policies. Trump has used his pardon power to allow criminals and terrorists like the January 6th terrorists to escape justice. Trump has allowed the DOJ to not be an independent body of investigators and arbitrators of true justice for the American people. The DOJ is now transformed into a person defense attorney system for Donald Trump. The legitimacy of the DOJ has been shattered by the agenda of Trumpism. This is why we have to speak out against the nepotism, corruption, hypocrisy, bigotry, racism, xenophobia, and sexism found in the Trump agenda. While this is going on, millions of Americans struggle to afford massive gas prices due to Trump's war on Iran. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is focused on releasing a road trip reality TV show which is disrespectful to the people struggling to get gas or travel in basic transportation services. The GOP claims to support family values, but many GOP members have fought against paid family and medical leave, universal childcare, universal pre-K, an Expanded Child Tax Credit, and programs to support the rights of minority groups plus women.  That isn't pro-family but pro-authoritarianism and pro-oligarchy to me.

Pete Hesgeth said that Senator Mark Kelly spoke about in public about depleted munitions in dealing with the Iraq War revealed classified information. This is a lie from Hegseth. The truth, as Senator Kelly, has said, is that the depleted munitions was admitted by Hegseth in a public hearing, not in a classified meeting. This attack by Hegseth targets not only the freedom of speech. It targets our American democracy when Trump officials try to put a spin on the Iranian war. We are nowhere near the era of the conclusion of the Iranian War. Kelly was slandered by MAGA followers as a traitor for just saying that military soldiers should never follow illegal orders. Kelly just spoke commonsense words about a basic fundamental point relating to the inherit integrity of Americans. This once again show how the Trump administration is targeting dissent (in a retribution campaign), not promoting freedom for the human race.

A lot of people don't know about the Hard Hat Riot of 1970. This was when people with hard hats assaulted anti-Vietnam War protesters in April of 1970. Many attackers said America, love it or leave it. Students activists and union leaders were exploited by the Nixon team to promote division in American society. Many police officers supported the attackers. The Hard hats invaded the Pace University and beat students and destroyed property. Nixon praised the hard hat to promote the laissez faire capitalism and cultural issues to cause a division among people of the Democratic Party. Nixon wanted many blue collar workers to get his support, and his plan worked in the 1972 Presidential election. Back in the days of FDR and LBJ, there was a coalition among black people, Jewish people, white collar workers, blue collar workers, progressives, Catholics, and working class people in general to allow New Deal and Great Society programs to be passed. By the time of Nixon, that changed when that coalition was broken apart. Many blue-collar workers had their economic rights violated, so we have to promote economic justice and other people who deserve human liberation. The oligarchs oppress us all. We have common ground on many issues, and it's our responsibility to promote solidarity to advance truth and justice for all.

When Rep. Jen Kiggans made the racist remark of Hakeem Jeffries, it reveals her hands as being a Trump puppet. There is no excuse for Jeffries' comments at all. Kiggans is from Virginia too, and us from Virginia know racism first hand. Therefore, Kiggans even supported Trump's law that cut Medicare and other social safety net programs. So, she should be voted out. Regardless of how anyone feels about Hakeem Jeffries' politics, it is evil to disrespect his human dignity as a black man.  AOC is also right to say that we can't treat Majorie Taylor Greene and Tucker Carlson as allies because they have criticized the MAGA movement. Greene talked about the anti-Semitic lie of Jewish space lasers and voted to censure Rep. Ihan Omar. She wanted Omar to be deported. Tucker Carlson promoted the lie that the 2020 election was stolen in public but privately didn't believe in that lie. Both of them never apologized for some of the most egregious statements that they have made.

Days ago was the Birthday of Sister Alyson Williams, and she is 63 years old. She is a R&B singer and on air radio personality. She was born in New York City. She is the daughter of bandleader/trumpeter Bobby Booker. She began her career by singing background vocals for various artists like Curtis Hairston, Melba Moore (in Love's Coming at Ya), B. B. & Q. Band, Cashflow, Unlimited Touch, Bobby Brown, and Barbara Mitchell before joining the group High Fashion (which also featured Meli'sa Morgan). Alyson later sang with the group The Air before moving on into her solo career. Her first single was Yes We Can being released on Profile Records in 1986 (a release on the Def Jame label followed in 1987). She was an in-demand vocalist duetting with many of her label mates like Church Stanley (in the song Make You Mine Tonight), and Oran "Juice" Jones (in the song How to Love Again). Her first album and release was historic as she was the first R&B woman singer signed to Def Jam. Her album Raw was released in 1989. It had singles like My Love is So Raw, etc. It had many quiet storm style songs. In 1986, she portrayed her friend Phyllis Hyman in a musical play called "Thank God, The Beat Goes on," joining the Whispers to tell the story of Hyman's career. She has been an on air radio personality at WCHR-FM 90.3. She is the host of Love Notes with Alyson Williams in The Chill Zone, which air on Tuesdays out of Harlem, NYC. In May 2022, Williams was the featured artist on saxophonist Najee's cover of Norman Connors single, Valentine Love.

I wish Sister Alyson Williams a Great Birthday.
