Jack Smith gave an interview recently with MS NOW's Nicolle Wallace. This is the first time when he gave a public interview since resigning from the DOJ. Jack Smith was the former special counsel who gave two federal indictments against Donald Trump. Smith said that the rule of law is under a massive attack. That is clearly obvious by Trump attacks on birthright citizenship and other legal principles of the American Constitution. He said that he has investigated cases all through his career, and this is unprecedented. Smith accused Trump of interfering in the 2020 election which Trump did in my view. Smith said that Trump was involved in promoting the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, after he lost to Joe Biden in the 2020 election. Smith has resigned by January 2025. Trump remains the most controversial President of the 21st century and the most racist President since Woodrow Wilson. Trump using overt profiteering is conclusively proving his abhorrent corruption.
The Democrats has seen an increase of democratic socialist candidates winning primaries in mostly blue districts. The Democrats will have spirited debate about many factions of Democrats (who are moderates, progressives, etc.). The Republican Party will try to cancel people who disagree with the policies of Donald Trump. A lot of the democratic socialist candidates rose up in response to the housing crisis, the affordability crisis in general, and the issue of Palestine. There are many issues where most Democrats agree on which are universal health care, liberation for Palestinian people, improving the environment, increasing voting rights (like opposing the SAVE Act), respect shown to women, and an end to the illegal Iranian War. While many DSA members and democratic socialists are right to criticize many Democratic centrist establishment members, many of them have contradictions. Many of them claim to support Palestinian rights, but some of them are silent about Sudan, Congo, and Haiti. They claim to blame Kamala Harris for the issue of Gaza, but Kamala Harris was not the President, and she made it clear to support a ceasefire and condemn the excessive bombings of Gaza lands by the Israeli government before the 2024 election was over. Many of the DSA are class reductionists who want to minimize racial oppression as an excuse to claim to be for the working class, but racial justice and economic justice are intersectional (not separate from the goal of human liberation). Many of the same ones caused Trump to be re-elected in 2024 without remorse while Americans struggle for jobs and many have died because of their indolent action.
The FBI has increased its probe linked to the 2020 election in Georgia. Trump is completely desperate as there is no evidence that the 2020 election was completely stolen. Trump has lied and said that he has irrefutable evidence of fraud, but he hasn't shown that evidence. The FBI is wasting resources which can be better used to protect the American people and other security issues. This policy from the FBI is about historical revisionism, jealousy of progressive views, and hatred of anyone who opposes the MAGA agenda. As high as 2/3 of Republicans believe in the myth of massive fraud involving the 2020 election. This is beyond ignorance by MAGA followers. This is cult-like behavior. Like I have said before, MAGA is the greatest cult of human history. The FBI is trying to look at social media and claimed to research "derogatory information." Analysts look at social media which is totally anti-First Amendment. You must have factual predication of wrongdoing before the FBI investigates these things.
Megyn Kelly issued another xenophobic and in my view racist anti-immigrant rant. She said this nonsense on her podcast where she targeted Haitian immigrants. This comes after the Supreme Court stripped the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) from thousands of Haitian and Syrian immigrants. She said that she wants Haitians to go home and go back to Haiti in profane terms. She omits that Haiti is a warzone now, and if they go to Haiti, they face ultimate death in many cases. She justified her rant by making the racist claims that Haitians in Ohio are drunk driving and killing people and eating the pets. She said that if immigrants refuse to "live like Americans" and stated that their presence "dilutes " American culture and values. First, American culture is not monolithic. American culture readily combines various culturally worldwide from pizza, tacos, kente cloth, and other diverse forms of human expression. Being a true American is not based on blood or ancestry. Being a true American is embracing the principle of justice and liberty for all, irrespective of color or background. Also, Haitian TPS recipients contribute billions of dollars in taxes and legally reside in America. Kelly spews 19th century Know Nothing Party nonsense which is not new. Kelly said that we built America when America was built heavily by black people, immigrants, and other people who don't need to go into a racist, xenophobic rant to feel better about themselves. I'm not shocked by the bigotry of Kelly as she is a lover of the MAGA movement. She is a reactionary extremist.
Trump made $2.2 billion in 2025 driven by crypto revenue. The problem is that Trump has eliminated the crypto task force to try to investigate crypto crimes, and we don't know how he achieved those crypto profits. The crypto industry is blatantly lax in legitimate regulations. The Trump family is known to have made international investments. That amount of money is much larger than his pre-Presidency income. Trump's 2nd term has been filled with economic controversies involving the Trump administration. Now, Trump has turned the DOJ into his personal defense agency instead of a politically independent agency. We live in unprecedented times. On July 1, 2026, former CIA Director John Brennan filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration. He wants to preserve records from ongoing investigations targeting him. He believes that the DOJ probes are phantom and part of a vindictive prosecution by the Department of Justice. Some sad news is that Victor Willis of the Village People passed away at 74 years old. Tony Brown of PBS passed away recently. Louis Farrakhan's wife, and Khadijah Farrakhan, passed away at the age of 90 years old. Also, Danny Glover revealed in public that he has Alzheimer's disease, and former NFL legend Chris Johnson has ALS (or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). The lesson here is that life is short. All people have to reject unnecessary bitterness and move forward in life realizing that a kind word or righteous actions will go a long way in helping the human race in general.
