Irish Threatened with “Disastrous Consequences” Over Rejection of Lisbon Treaty

It would seem Brussels has had it with Ireland’s intransigence over the Lisbon Treaty and “European integration,” that is to say creating a European superstate.

Elmar Brok, described as an influential German Christian Democratic Union member of the European Parliament, has threatened Dublin with "disastrous consequences" if the Irish leadership refuses to impose yet another referendum on the Irish people.

According to the German Foreign Policy website, Elmar Brok, described as an influential German Christian Democratic Union member of the European Parliament, has threatened Dublin with “disastrous consequences” if the Irish leadership refuses to impose yet another referendum on the Irish people, who rejected the treaty in June, even though they were “threatened, cajoled, blackmailed and bullied” to accept by Ireland’s elite, as the Telegraph put it.

Specifically, Ireland faces sanctions, including the prospect of renouncing its EU commissioner.

“Members of the government as well as high-ranking representatives of influential parties have already spoken out in favor of a second referendum. But the mood in the population is what worries them. The government would like to prolong preparations for ratification because opinion polls have recently exposed that currently more than 70 percent of the Irish are against a repeat of the referendum and - far more than in the first — nearly two-thirds will vote ‘NO’ if the referendum is repeated.”

Even so, the SPD European parliamentarian, Jo Leinen, has told the Irish foreign minister he expects ratification to take place long before the European Parliamentary elections, slated for next March. Apparently, much of this increased pressure on Ireland comes ahead of a change of government in London. “Though the British Parliament has already ratified the ‘Lisbon Treaty,’ the Conservative Party, if it should win the coming elections, as opinion polls are predicting, is planning a referendum on the question,” explains the German website.

If the British people are allowed a referendum on the issue, they will likely go the way of the Irish, as the Irish went to the way of the French and Dutch before them — when put to a vote, the EU is roundly rejected by most Europeans. Gordon Brown understands this well enough, as he ruled out a referendum before flying off to Lisbon to sign a new European Union Treaty last October, even though polls indicated nearly 70 percent of the British people wanted a national referendum to decide the issue.

Elmar Brok claims the CIA and “US military and espionage circles” are behind efforts to sabotage the Lisbon Treaty. “The CIA is seeking by this means to weaken the EU and thereby hold back a rival that has been growing stronger,” notes the German Foreign Policy website. “Since WW II employees of the US military and US intelligence services have, not only officially been represented in Germany and Europe, and since the 1940s, the CIA has been engaged in undercover activities.”

In fact, the opposite appears to be the case. According to William Wolf, the CIA financed an effort to create a system of European governance, a system originally designed by Nazi Minister of Finance, Walter Funk.

The Fabian Society, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, the Bilderberg Group, and the Trilateral Commission “have worked, in effect, to blend Nazi pan-Europeanism with Communist Internationalism to create the global, oligarchic, corporate system,” explains Wolf.

In 1987, the late senator Jesse Helms denounced this fascist scheme and implicated “the State Department, the Trade Department, certain banking and financial groups, multinationals and tax-exempt foundations [saying that they were effectively controlled by] organizations such as the CFR, the RIIA, the Trilateral Commission, the Dartmouth and Bilderberg Meetings, the Aspen Institute and the Atlantic Institute”, which are, he said, “using them to spread and coordinate plans for a so-called New World Order, serving the business and financial channels of the political world…”

Obviously, the New World Order will not be deterred by the resounding rejection of the Lisbon Treaty by the people of Ireland. In order to get their globalist plan back on track, they are now issuing threats against Ireland.

It is interesting, however, to note that the corporate media has yet to report these threats, but then, as David Rockefeller revealed on June 8th, 1991 in a speech delivered in Essen, West Germany, the corporate media is a handmaiden to the global elite. “It would have been quite impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity,” declared Rockefeller.
