Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- More than 25,000 pro-life advocate shave registered to participate in an unprecedented webcast featuring pro-life leaders from prominent pro-life organizations. The advocates will have a unified message that abortion should not be included in the government-run health care plan Congress is considering.
The Thursday night webcast features a who's who of the national pro-life movement with representatives of groups like National Right to Life, Family Research Council, Focus on the Family, Concerned Women for America, and Priests for Life.
Congressmen Chris Smith and Joe Pitts will speak as well as former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.
Marjorie Dannenfelser, the president of the Susan B. Anthony List, a pro-life women's group, will be there and she told LifeNews.com the abortion-health care battle is the biggest since the presidential election for the pro-life community.
“This week President Obama acknowledged the longstanding tradition of excluding abortion coverage from government-funded health care programs," she said. "When we find longstanding policies like limiting taxpayer funds for abortion, we know political common ground has been achieved."

"Yet both the House and Senate versions of health care reform legislation seek to undo this commonsense policy," Dannenfelser continued.
"Without language to explicitly exclude an abortion mandate, the legislation will result in Americans footing the bill for abortion on-demand in the largest expansion of government-backed abortion since Roe v. Wade. Pro-Life Americans everywhere need to make their voice heard to stop this abortion mandate and press for health care that honors both mother and child," she added.
The webcast begins at 9:00 p.m. and can be accessed at http://www.stoptheabortionmandate.com.
Kristan Hawkins, the director of Students for Life of America, will also participate in the pro-life webcast that touches on ""one of the biggest battles the pro-life movement has seen in years."
"The current healthcare bill in Congress will mandate that all Americans personally pay for abortions in both the private and public plans," she said. "This is the strategy that Planned Parenthood and the billion-dollar abortion industry are now using in an attempt to implement the cornerstones of the Freedom of Choice Act."
Hawkins told LifeNews.com the webcast registration has been so successful that leading abortion advocacy groups are running scared.

"Upon hearing about the success of our webcast registration, the abortion industry has shifted into crisis mode. Internal abortion industry communications are buzzing about tonight's webcast and how the pro-life movement has formed a united front on this crucial issue," she said.
She touted the unified message from the groups in the webcast.
"We already have over 25,000 registered for this event. And every national pro-life organization will be represented," she said. "Even Congressmen and Senators have heard about tonight's event and are now asking to be apart of this one-time urgent webcast."
The list of presenters has now grown and includes representatives of 40 Days for Life, Heartbeat International, the Southern Baptist Convention, Care Net, and American Life League.
