The New Hampshire Caucus is coming

The New Hampshire primary is coming in less than 4 days. All of the candidates are fighting for votes. Romney is being attacked from all sides, because Mitt Romney is currently the front runner in the Republican Presidential race. Mitt Romney is very popular among the establishment. He is supported by John McCain, George H. W. Bush, high level Freemason Bob Dole, and South Carolina governor Nikki Haley. Newt Gingrich is very personally angry at Romney, because he in his mind wants to clear his name on his controversies. Gingrich calls Romney a moderate, which he is. Newt isn't perfect, but Romney is a moderate. Gingrich tries to invoke Romney's relatives, which is highly desparate and offensive in my opinion. A man should talk about a man's policies, not his relatives. Regardless of the spin, Mitt Romney is a notorious moderate. That’s his right and that’s his personality. That’s reality. The debate coming up might be full of fireworks. People who love politics find this campaign to be interesting indeed. All of the candidates are focusing on New Hampshire and South Carolina. South Carolina is a Southern state and it’s a conservative state. New Hampshire is a heavily libertarian state. The race is very fluid in that either of these candidates have a chance to receive the Republican nomination. Rick Santorum is running his race. He was booed by people in New Hampshire because of his views on marriage. New Hampshire is libertarian indeed. As for this marriage issue, regardless of what you think, a human being is a human being. All human beings should be afforded equality and become free from unjust discrimination period. I do respect  the conservative ideologies of moral absolutes and having a love for the nuclear family. Yet, a theocracy and the suppression of individual rights aren't representative of a progressive society. Not to mention (in real life) I know people who are a product of nuclear families and non-nuclear families that live great, functional lives. A progressive society allows agreement and disagreements on issues without authoritarianism or oppression. I don't believe in oppressing (in an evil fashion) a man or a woman, because of their background or who they associate with. I believe in the sanctity of human life. That means that I know about the unborn baby’s humanity and I realize that Head Start and other public plus private programs can enrich the lives of human beings as well. I believe that private organization can help to solve our problems. Although, I also believe that the federal government can make a difference in society. Our thinking should be international not just nation, because fundamentally we are related to every human worldwide. I'm not a foreign interventionist promoting preemptive warfare, but dialogue and trade are great ways for us Americans to be connected to other nations in the world. The Republican Presidential race of 2012 is probably the most unique race in recent memory. There are massive ups and downs, because of the close times of caucus voting dates (among other reasons).

The truth is increasingly coming out about Planned Parenthood. PP was birthed from the philosophy of eugenics plainly speaking. The eugenicist Margaret Sanger founded Planned Parenthood. That is all historical. Steven Ertelt found out that 91 percent of pregnant women that Planned Parenthood sees get abortions.  Planned Parenthood via their own annual report proved that it helped fewer pregnant women with prenatal care. The number of pregnant women it referred for adoptions declined as well. The report explained the services that PP offers in addition to abortions. Pro-Life groups have criticized Planned Parenthood for doing hundreds of thousands of abortions by providing little in the way of help for pregnant women wanting to keep their baby or considering adoption. The new report proved that these acts haven’t changed. The new document that the abortion group posted confirmed that Planned Parenthood did 329,445 abortions in 2010. It provided prenatal care to only 31,098 women and referred only 841 women to adoption agencies. The number of women receiving prenatal care dropped significantly from 2009 to 2010. The abortion business PP helped 40,489 women in 2009. That means that almost 10,000 fewer women received prenatal support from Planned Parenthood last year than the year prior. This drop is almost 25 percent. The number of women getting adoption referrals from PP declined from a low 977 in 2008 to 841 last year. This decline is about 14 percent. Examined another way Planned Parenthood does 391 abortions for every adoption referral it makes and almost 11 abortions for every woman it helps with prenatal care. Live Action has created 2 new charts that outline the PP referrals. So in 2010, Planned Parenthood has 91.2 percent of their referrals to abortion, 0.2 percent to adoption referrals, and 8.6 percent to prenatal services. Responding to the numbers, the pro-life group said: “...This new data confirms Planned Parenthood’s position as the largest U.S. abortion provider and shows that more than ten terminations are performed for every instance of prenatal care provided. Furthermore, Planned Parenthood aborted 391 children for every adoption referral made in 2010. This data covers all Planned Parenthood affiliates within the United States.” Planned Parenthood has been powerful for its declining non-abortion services for pregnant women. Abortions had increased by PP in recent years. Even the 2009 annual report Planned Parenthood released earlier this year proved that there was a 25 percent drop in parental care clients and a whopping 59 percent decline in adoption referrals from the 2,405 adoption referrals in 2008. Planned Parenthood’s own records now show that 5,364,540 surgical and medical abortions done at Planned Parenthood centers from 1970 through the end of 2009. On December 27, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) released its latest Annual Report for 2009-2010. The report indicates PPFA had a total budget of $1.04 billion and an excess of revenue over expenses of 18.5 million dollars — a net profit. The new report also reveals 46 percent of the total PPFA budget comes from taxpayer dollars in the form of government funding

In our time, there are moral and religious issues that should be discussed. There is an increase in shoplifting by 6 percent in the year 2011 alone. Some people are desperate and others are succumbing to temptation. Some people in the younger generation and the older generation have enacted unnecessary violence during the holiday season of 2011. People have been shot and killed over shoes, video games, and other merchandise. These incidents of violence have occurred all across America in the rural areas, the urban areas, the suburbs, and the exurbs. This represents a spirit of greed not the real ethic from the Good Samaritan. The words of Jesus Christ from Luke 12:15 are clear that: “…Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth."  Not to mention that Loving your neighbor as yourself is a great commandment from God that folks need to adhere to. Generation Z are special people. They have been totally immersed with digital technology, even more than Generation Y (that I am a part of). Even people like us in Generation Y have been taught about typewriters, and other now archaic subjects back in 1995. Generation Z are people born in the 1990’s and the early 21th century. Some of the younger generation possess a low attention span, because of the fast pace of information (being digital) and entertainment geared to Generation Z. In our time, we should be concerned with public matters. Even the four gospels mostly ignored the thirty years of Jesus’ life and focused mostly on the last 3 years of his public life (that included the preaching of the Gospel & opposing the injustices in the ancient Roman Empire). Public matters are a reflection of society. If there is poverty, we should oppose it. If workers receive unjust wages and immoral working conditions, we ought to promote fair wages for all workers (and just conditions inside of jobs). If there is any form of evil discrimination against a human being, we ought to battle against it. Jesus Christ is right to say that he came to preach the good news for the poor. In our time in 2012, we should be an example and stand up for mankind. We should stand up against oppression in the Earth, in the air, and under the sea. God would want us to help human beings. The real teachings of Jesus Christ of Nazareth aren't related to the rich & wealthy interests of the closet sun worshipper Constantine. His teachings are related to the poor, to the activist seeking freedom, and the selfless human beings that desire justice, peace, & righteousness for all of the human race.

There were some DHS officers recently in early January 2012 that made an unannounced ID checkpoint. They possessed armed semiautomatic weapons. The staff of the Florida Social Security office was not informed of the drill and Homeland Security officials refused to talk to the media. There are residents of Leesburg, Florida being shocked. They were shocked to witness their local Social Security office turned into a random Homeland Security checkpoint on Tuesday morning. The DHS officers were armed with semiautomatic rifles and accompanied by sniffer dogs checked identifications of locals. With their blue and white SUVs circled around the Main Street office, at least one official was posted on the door with a semiautomatic rifle, randomly checking identifications. And other officers, some with K-9s, sifted through the building,” reports the Daily Commercial. Operation Shield is the name of the acts performed by the DHS. Operation Shield was an unannounced drill that was conducted by the DHS’s Federal Protective Service. It was centered on detecting the presence of unauthorized persons and potentially disruptive or dangerous activities. Thomas Milligan is the district manager for the Social Security Administration office. He said that the staff was not informed of their offices were about to be stormed by armed FPS officers. DHS officials refused to answer questions asked by local media and left with no explanation at noon. The FPS is used in many roles not just the setting up of unannounced ID checkpoints. The Department of Homeland Security wants to reinvent themselves as a tool of political repression. The Federal Protective Service is being used by the DHS to track the political activities of peaceful advocacy groups.  For example, the FPS was seen arresting photographers in Portland in November of 2011 during an OWS rally. The FPS in 2004 arrested a veteran for the crime of complaining to his local VA office in Des Moines. VIRP is a separate component of Homeland Security. VIRP stands for the Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response. VIRP was recently sent an expansion in funding from Congress. We could see 2011′s figure of around 9,300 checkpoints increased with the addition of 12 new VIPR teams, who will be used to carry out security checks at bus depots, train stations, ferry ports and highways. The extra money is being demanded despite the fact that there is “no proof that the roving viper teams have foiled any terrorist plots or thwarted any major threat to public safety,” according to an L.A. Times report. The police state is real and evidence proves it all of the time.

Ancient Rome was situated in unique geographic regions. It was in the center part of the Italian peninsula. The peninsula extended over the whole Mediterranean Basin. The Italian peninsula was protected by the sea and the arc of the Alps Mountains. Rome being in the Mediterranean Basin made it a great location of trade and commerce. Goods and services could travel from Greece to Italy easily. The ancient Roman trade system dealt with a great amount of trade via the water. The Alps to the north of Rome functioned as protection to the ancient Roman civilization. Invaders at that time had a difficult time to invade Rome from the North. Even Hannibal of Carthage had to use elephants and soldiers over the Alps in order for his bridage to invade the city of Rome. Ancient Roman culture was heavily polytheistic in its religious composition. The Roman gods and goddesses were worshipped and they were used as a way to explain nature (including life events). The Romans adopted much of Greek mythology and the ancient Romans used Latin names to substitute the names of the ancient Greek gods (and goddesses). The famous Roman gods and goddesses were Jupiter, Juno, Apollo, Diana, Minerva, and Venus. The evolution of ancient Roman government came from a Republic into an Empire. From ca. 700 B.C. to 200 B.C., there was the growth of the ancient Roman Republic. Women and most foreigners (or non-Romans living in the Republic) and slaves were excluded from the governing process. The Roman Republic made strides in developing representative democracy. This form of democracy led into modern democracies today. How did the government of the Roman Republic become more democratic in its decision making? It all started via the Plebian Revolt. First, the social structure of the Roman Republic must be explained first. There were the patricians (this was the powerful nobility who are few in number), the plebeians (these are a part of the majority of the population), and slaves (made up of numerous races). Citizenship was given to the patrician men, the plebian men, and selected foreigners. The rights and responsibilities of the ancient Roman Republic citizens were about paying taxes, having military service, etc. So, the plebeians wanted more rights from the patricians’ strangle hold on power. The patricians’ power was weaken and the Laws of the Twelve Tablets were created. This was a part of the ancient law of the ancient Roman Republic. Representative democracy is when voters choose representatives to vote on issues and represent the people (instead of voters voting on every single political issue directly). There were assemblies, the Senate, and consuls in the ancient Roman Republic. The Punic Wars existed from 264 B.C. to 164 B.C. It was about Rome and Carthage competing for trade and power in the Mediterranean Sea region.
