News about Society

The NSA spying is real. This scandal has been going on for years. There is no need for obfuscation here. It is wrong for anyone to intentionally spy on citizens period without the due process of law. There are plenty of things wrong with the NSA collecting your phones. We see that Verizon is being forced by the government to disclose telephone records of all of its customers. Some of us want our call records to be private, but some of them are revealed to the government. We can't even keep them private even if we want to. All cell phone usage are tracked. The government spying on us is common now. We have the right to our thoughts. The government claims that it will use the data to catch terrorists or potential terrorists who intend to violate the rights of innocent people. The reality is that terrorists are a minor threat to society except if you mean criminal elements in the government (or government monitored or funded terrorists). For the past 10 years, the military industrial complex is more of a threat to us (via their totalitarian moves and unjust laws) than independent terrorists. Now, we know that NSA whistleblowers have said publicly that spying operations against Americans have been going on for years and it involved all major U.S. phone companies. "NSA has been doing all this stuff all along, and it’s been all these companies, not just one,” William Binney told news program Democracy Now on Thursday. “They’re just continuing the collection of this data on all U.S. citizens.” Binney, who worked at the NSA for almost 40 years, left the agency after the attacks of 9/11, because he objected to the expansion of its surveillance of U.S. citizens. British newspaper The Guardian late Wednesday released an order from the secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, requesting Verizon to give the NSA the details on every phone call on its landline and wireless networks on a daily basis between April 25 and July 19. Binney estimates that the NSA collects records on 3 billion calls per day. The alternative media have accurately reported on this story for years. Now, we know that the PRISM operations include most of the dominant global players of Silicon Valley. They are listed on a roster that bears their logos in order of entry into the program: “Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, PalTalk, AOL, Skype, YouTube, Apple.” PalTalk, although much smaller, has hosted significant traffic during the Arab Spring and in the ongoing Syrian civil war. This is a development that confirms the truth that both parties in the same boat. According to NBC News, under post 9/11 Patriot Act, the government has been collecting records on every phone call made in the U.S. The government lied that it is only tracking metadata such as the time and place of the calls excluding the actual content of the calls. The American government have collected and stored every phone call, email, etc. for years. The Wall Street Journal reported today that the NSA spies on Americans’ credit card transactions as well. Some states want to use drones to surveil society beyond just training. Violations to our civil liberties occur all of the time and this have been documented by activists from across the political spectrum. Even Wall Street Journal reporter Julia Angwin said something. She covered the surveillance state in America greatly. She said that the U.S. surveillance regime has more data on the average American than the Stasi ever did on East Germans. The state’s illegal spying inside of America started long before 9/11. The ACLU published a map in 2006 showing that nearly two thirds of the American public (or 19 million human beings) live in a constitution free zone within 100 miles of land and coastal borders. This area is where the government can make excessive searches of human beings (or even warrantless searches against American citizens within a certain parameter of the American border).

Human beings have the right to know exactly what is going on the Bilderberg Group. The agenda of this organization is set by the rich and powerful members of this private organization. Discussions at the Bilderberg round table shape corporate and government policies globally. Some in the mainstream media have looked at the Bilderbergers in a lax light. Even the Constitution in Article 2, Section 2, Clause 2 says the following: "...He (the President) shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur.” In other words, the secrecy in the Bilderberg Group is not legal since a treaty deals with a formal agreement between 2 parties in reference to peace, alliance, commerce, or other relations. Even the Constitution limits how the President can make a treaty or agreement on behalf of the country (even if it is well informed or well intentioned). The Logan Act of 1799 said that no citizen of the United States could discuss US business or problems with another country with the intent to influence the national policy of either country. The law mentioned the following, “Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.” It is not a secret that the Bilderbergers are made up of political leaders and experts in the fields of commerce, finance, science, and academia. It has published an agenda that covers everything from U.S. foreign policy to Middle East developments, nationalism, and populism that outlines serious themes. The Bilderberg Group's website claims that they have no votes, no detailed agenda, no resolution, no policy statements, etc. They just want to take time to listen, reflect, and gather insights. If that is true then the Easter Bunny is real. It is silly to believe that national policies of every country in the world haven’t been influenced one iota by the Bilderberg group. No group of people, not your average American citizens and not even the Elite, gathers, discusses, and then goes their merry way. Someone is always somehow influenced to take some type of action. In “The Wealth of Nations,” Adam Smith wrote, “People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public.” It is a fact that Kings, Queens, Prime Ministers, secretaries of state, Wall Street investors, CEOs of transnational corporations, media heads, etc. work together and try to find consensus on issues in the Bilderberg Group. At the very least, every U.S. representative who’s ever attended a Bilderberg meeting has been in clear violation of the Logan Act. Therefore, the American people have a right to know what’s going on behind those closed doors. Indeed, documents read by the BBC and later released by Wikileaks divulge how Bilderberg members were discussing the creation of the euro single currency nearly 40 years before it was officially introduced in the 1992 Maastricht Treaty. The London Telegraph today reports in its article titled Bilderberg Group? No conspiracy, just the most influential group in the world, that recently, a major oil deal, in fact what would be the world’s biggest, was formulated at a Bilderberg meeting. The deal dealt with BP and Shell. The report mentioned the following information: "...According to Tom Bergin’s Spills and Spin, the account of the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster, Lord Browne, the head of BP, used a walk by Lake Como at the 2004 gathering in Italy to suggest a vast merger with Shell to create the world’s biggest oil company...According to Tom Bergin’s Spills and Spin, the account of the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster, Lord Browne, the head of BP, used a walk by Lake Como at the 2004 gathering in Italy to suggest a vast merger with Shell to create the world’s biggest oil company...Lord Browne left under the impression it would happen..." The report also notes how Lord Healey, a long time Bilderberg attendee, recalls the importance of the discussions that were held there regarding policy on the Vietnam War, and particularly on European integration. There has been a massive police operation in the Watford Hotel according to the Watford Observer. The police want to use anti-terror laws as an excuse to close roads and footpaths. There is a no fly zone over the event according to the newspaper. It is a police state over there. Politicians are not immune. In 2011, at the Bilderberg confab in Switzerland, Italian European Parliament member Mario Borghezio was roughed up by police at the Suvretta hotel in St. Moritz. Roads are closed down and residents are required to show their papers as a prerequisite to gain access to their community. Therefore, our civil liberties must be promoted here in the world.

It has been 45 years since the assassination of Robert Francis Kennedy. Now, we know his strengths and the errors that he made in his life. Now, before he was assassinated in an evil fashion, he was changing. He worked forward a great deal from his more centrist past. He came to realize that we should do something about pollution, about poverty, and any form of debilitating injustice that plagues the vast American landscape. He could have evolved more on certain issues, but nevertheless, he was growing. Now, to be a fair man, I will outline his great contributions to society and his errors totally. He died on June 4, 1968. It was the time period of change. It was the continuation of the 1960's and debates among the younger including the older generation. Robert Kennedy was a thoughtful man, but he was a slick politician. He loved politics in his mistakes and the great actions that he did. He along with his brother John F. Kennedy including Dr. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X represented the people of America rebelling against the status quo (of poverty, discrimination, the evils of war, etc.). To some Bobby Kennedy was the last hope for progressive change, but his story is a little complex than that. If Robert Kennedy was alive today, Nixon would have a difficult time in trying to become President. Kennedy was easily more progressive than Nixon on many issues obviously. His father made a fortune from real estate, moviemaking, the stock market, and bootlegging of alcohol during Prohibition. Robert Kennedy was close to the radical anticommunist and anti-civil liberty advocate Senator Joseph McCarthy in the 1950's. Robert Kennedy served in a committee filled with anti-labor extremists. He prosecuted Teamster leader Jimmy Hoffa (being accused of Mafia ties and bribery), which was his enemy. He loved his brother JFK. JFK relied heavily on the Black vote to win the Presidency in 1960. JFK took a lax approach to civil rights despite his words on promising equality to black human beings. Bobby recalled in 1964, "I did not lie awake at night worrying about the problems of Negroes." Robert Kennedy wanted the Freedom Rides to be curtailed in the South. John Kennedy told Louisiana Gov. James H. Davis that his administration was trying "to put this stuff in the courts and get it off the street." As attorney general, Bobby Kennedy famously told representatives of student civil rights groups, "If you cut out this Freedom Rider and sitting-in stuff and concentrate on voter registration, I'll get you a tax exemption." Robert Kennedy also authorized FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover to begin wiretapping Martin Luther King's telephone conversations on the grounds that Stanley Levinson, King's closest adviser, was allegedly a closet member of the Communist Party. The truth is that there is no evidence that Stanley Levinson was a member of the Communist Party at all in the 1960's. The FBI regularly slandered human beings who disagreed with reactionaries. Of King, RFK remarked, "We never wanted to get very close to him just because of these contacts and connections that he had, which we felt were damaging to the civil rights movement." Robert Kennedy executed Mongoose in Cuba whereas JFK later wanted détente with Cuba by 1963. At first, RFK supported Johnson's Vietnam War. Eugene McCarthy ran for President in November of 1967. He wanted to end the Vietnam War. Robert Kennedy soon changed by the late 1960's. He opposed the Vietnam War, he opposed apartheid (though he wanted no sanctions against South Africa), he wanted to fight pollution, and he wanted an end to poverty. Still, Robert Kennedy wanted a negotiated settlement without an unilateral withdrawal of U.S. forces from Southeast Asia. He voted against that. Robert Kennedy wanted to capture the antiwar movement and deliver it into the Democratic Party. He used a tight rope to appeal to the younger generation and the bosses like Mayor Richard Daley of Chicago. Kennedy even attacked Eugene McCarthy during their televised debate prior to the California primary for his support for building public housing in the suburbs. Kennedy said incredulously, "You say you are going to take 10,000 Black people and move them into Orange County." I reject those comments from Robert Kennedy completely. McCarthy believed that Kennedy advocated a "segregated residential apartheid." McCarthy accused RFK of utilizing race baiting rhetoric. Kennedy's big idea to alleviate poverty in the inner cities was to provide tax breaks to corporations to move into blighted neighborhoods. Then-California Gov. Ronald Reagan believed that "Kennedy is talking more and more like me." So, it is what it is. Yet, we should acknowledge the correct actions that Robert Kennedy believed and took as his ideological framework. He was not wrong on everything. He was right that there should be no nefarious tensions among the old and the young. He was right that equality is a paramount ideal to adhere to. He was right to believe in labor rights and the rights of Native Americans. He was also right that taxes should be increased as a means to fund social programs that can benefit the many beyond the few. His assassination has been debated for years and there are legitimate questions about it. His death brought about the reign of Nixon, who was a reactionary and wanted the suppression of progressive action. Robert Francis Kennedy reminded us that folks can change and standing up for justice is a virtue that shines greatly in the hearts of the human race.

We know that before Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. died, he became more revolutionary. 1968 was the year of radical changes. Dr. King changed. He began to more expose and oppose the Vietnam War. He made the great, famous Riverside Church speech in disagreement with the Vietnam War strongly in April of 1967. He said that the United States government was the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today. Dr. King compared American actions in Vietnam to Nazi practices in WWII. He wanted young men eligible for the draft to declare themselves conscientious objectors as a means to not fight in the Vietnam War. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. believed that the civil rights and peace movement want work together as a means to make the world a brotherhood (in ending racism, materialism, and militarism). Life magazine called the Riverside speech "demagogic slander that sounded like a script for Radio Hanoi." It charged King with "introducing matters that have nothing to do with the legitimate battle for equal rights here in America." Time Magazine called him the Man of Year in 1957 and in 1967; they criticized Dr. Martin Luther King for speaking out on things other than civil rights. Even some in the liberal Democratic Party betrayed him. Even the more moderate National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) agreed: "To attempt to merge the civil rights movement with the peace movement," they said, "will serve the cause neither of civil rights nor of peace.” Back in 1968, much of the country hated Dr. King and even some token leaders of his own people opposed his views on Vietnam War. The liberal establishment started to distance from him, because of his anti-war views. After, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said his 1967 speech, LBJ was angry. He is said to mention the following: "... What is that god_----- n____ preacher trying to do to me?" So, racism is not just limited among Republicans. It is found in the Democrats too. Now, Dr. Martin Luther King want social democratic actions even beyond what the mainstream Democrats wanted to have. Dr. King wanted to grow the standard of living of the USA with a guaranteed annual income. That is why Dr. King accurately knew that economic inequality grew the system of racism. So, you need to redistribute wealth and have justice as a means to solve our problems. Now, our current issue is not just the obscene, cruel, bigoted, and abhorrent reactionary agenda of some Republicans. It is the token, reformist agenda of some Democrats as well. Back in 1967, Democratic Louis Martin (who was an African American) wanted to exploit the concept of Black Power to spread Democratic influence in a constitutional, orderly manner. Martin wanted this as a means to suppress revolutionary civil rights leaders (who he called civil rights kooks).  This man said that he wanted the give the Democratic Johnson administration with a "link to the Negro community and...effectively bypass the Rap Browns and Stokely Carmichaels [both radical leaders] and even the Martin Luther Kings (none of whom have been elected to anything)." His strategy worked, especially when Nixon rose up. When the GOP racists used code words of crime, welfare fraud, reverse discrimination, etc. the Democrats grew in power around minorities. While the Republicans used overt bigotry, the Democrats used covert slick nefarious actions (of neoliberalism, corporate power growing, etc.) as a means to neutralize true revolution. The DLC member Bill Clinton is the example of the modern Democrat. On the other hand, we should follow a different direction. We should continue to oppose war and imperialism. We should go out and disagree with police brutality and austerity. We should fight for single payer universal health care and equality including for all of human life period without exceptions. An independent approach is necessary for our liberation.

In the mainstream popular culture world, news updates come up all of the time. Ke$ha’s blasphemous video for the song "Die Young" has more information that I did not know of. The video shows hundreds of upside down crosses, a church being destroyed, and a lot of occult including satanic symbols. Even if she wanted to do this for shock value, the director and producer of this video ought to be made known. Now, the video was directed by Darren Craig. It shows the Eye of Providence or the All Seeing Eye (which has numerous meanings like the Third eye, etc.). The video is about Kesha being a fictitious cult leader. Her disciples raid a rural Mexico hamlet to engage in sexual debauchery. A lot of images in the video represent the music industry's obsession with Illuminati rumors and their interest in the occult world. With the release of her song “Dancing With The Devil” Ke$ha further confirms the goal of many leaders of the entertainment world as having a hatred or rebellion against real moral values. The Dancing with the Devil song has her singing that she made a deal and then she is dancing with the Devil. The lyrics to the song are blatant. This is a play on real life since numerous musicians, artists, and entertainers including politicians have sold out literally to multinational corporate power as a means to go along with the status quo (instead of being truly free and independent. You are not free with corporate handlers controlling a lot of your moves). Ke$ha love rebellion in the wrong fashion and her lyrics talks about sexual promiscuity, drunkenness, violence, etc. Ke$ha also stated in an interview that she was hypnotized for “past life regression therapy” – an attempt to use a hypnotist to return to “former lives” one has lived before (this is another deeply occultic practice based on the false notion of reincarnation).  What more proof do the skeptics need? Kanye West names his new album named "Yeezus." It is play on the word Jesus and many Christians feel that the title mocks Jesus Christ. Kanye West in New God Flow talks about strippers making it rain as similar to the story of Noah and the flood. So, this is the reality that we live in. It is about mocking Christian prayer and Christian spirituality. Kanye West talks about New Slaves. In society, the elite have treated human beings as slaves (even now via contracts and obscene control mechanisms. This is the point that I believe he is trying to make). His friend is Jay Z (the believer in karma and refuses to accept the existence of Hell. Jay-Z who calls himself “Jay-Hova” as a mockery of the name of God the Father. That is why many New Agers believe that they can be like gods or achieve godhood). Godhood is embraced by numerous Freemasons not just in the New Age Movement (as found in the book called the Secret teaching in pg. 164 of saying that humans are Gods in a physical body). This is fantasy since can man cause the formation of DNA to develop by a thought? Can man cause planets to form or cause a black hole to exist in space? Can man cause the growth of the Moon? The answer is No. Man is not God. For more than one hundred years, we have seen the fruit of Hollywood and modern society. We have seen the increase of terrorism. We have seen the increase of materialism and the continuation of the violation of human civil liberties. We have seen the growth of unemployment of minorities in America. We have seen the evil system of white supremacy continuing. Now, this means that we fight that much harder for revolutionary change and spiritual growth excluding the love of money. So, we should hope that the industry puppets should wake up of course. We should also continue to reject propaganda and continue to live a holy life.
