Reminding of Facts.

This year is the 80th year anniversary of the tragedy of Pearl Harbor, which existed on December 7, 1941. This time was the start of WWII. The Nazis invaded sovereign nations in Europe. They also committed unspeakable atrocities against Jewish people, Roma, and other human beings. The Japanese Empire was spreading rapidly in China, etc. Before that attack, Japan and the USA negotiated in dealing with oil and other issues in trying to stop a war. Japan needed oil in the Pacific in order to expand its imperialistic empire. Negotiations failed, and Japan decided to attack Pearl Harbor. The attack was brutal, and many heroic U.S. soldiers (including a black man) fought back to save lives. Immediately, FDR called upon Congress to declare war. The USA declared war on the Axis Powers, and the Allied forces won by 1945. The sacrifice of the victims of Pearl Harbor are always remembered by us. Also, there is a bill in Congress to give the descendants of black American WWII veterans GI bill benefits. That bill should be law as it respects the memories of those who sacrificed their lives to defeat fascism decades ago. We still are fighting fascism in our generation. Fascists like the Proud Boys, many GOP members, etc. represent the antithesis to democracy, equality, justice, and liberty.

There has been a lot talk about Enes Kanter. He plays for the Boston Celtics. He said many comments that people agree with and other comments that many don't agree with. He is in the NBA. From his social media accounts, he criticized China for human rights abuses and NBA's links to China. The truth is clear. The vast majority of the people in China are just like us. They are trying to survive, live on this Earth, and contribute to society. Yet, there is a select few leaders in China (in the Xi regime influenced by the neoliberal Deng era) that have issues with civil liberties. Here are some examples. The Internet in China is completely censored. Black people in Shanghai have been discriminated against for years. Uyghurs, many Christian minorities, and others have been violated of their human rights. The one child policy is a violation of human autonomy. We know about the crushing of protests in Hong Kong. Anyone who denies these facts don't know history in my view. Now, this reality doesn't mean that people should invade China as some have advocated. Some have exploited the errors found in China to promote a Sinophobic racism. That is wrong. Kanter criticized Lebron James for not going far enough on criticizing China's human rights records.

He criticized Michael Jordan the worst to say that he doesn't do anything for the black community because of his shoe sales. Kanter is a liar on that point. Michael Jordan is not perfect, but Jordan has invested in the black community by funding a community clinic in Charlotte, by investing in programs to address police brutality, and working in charities helping black people for decades. The gall of Kanter to criticize black people without knowing all of the facts shows his arrogance. A lot of people don't know that Kanter is a member of the Gulen movement. This is an extreme political sect in Turkey links to the CIA linked, anti-Palestinian Fethullah Gulen. Kanter has been pictured with Bill and Hillary Clinton, John Bolton, and Jared Kushner. He has the nerve to criticize black people who disagrees with him when he allies with the neo-con Bolton. Kanter is silent on the human rights abuses from Gulf monarchies, silent on NED-funded groups, and silent on Palestinian liberation. Therefore, we don't need worldwide tensions. We need to separate the right of us to legitimately expose human rights abuses done in China by a minority of people, and the vast majority of the world's population who want justice for all people. That is the point.

The trial of Ghislaine Maxwell continues. She is accused of being a co-conspirator in the abuse of young girls. We know that Jeffrey Epstein was involved in the abuse of little kids in perverse ways. Epstein's former pilot testified in court under oath that Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and other wealthy men flew aboard Epstein's private plane. The pilot is named Larry Visoski. Other people on the plane are Prince Andrew, Sen. John Glenn, Kevin Spacey, George Mitchell, etc. Clinton's spokesman admitted that Clinton was on these flights, but he didn't commit or knew about Epstein's sick crimes. Maxwell to this day claims innocence of all allegations just like Prince Andrew (who is accused of abuse of girls). Epstein was found dead in prison. The medical examiner said that his cause of death was suicide by hanging. The pilot testified that he never saw any activity of abuse.

One of the most important events of the Biden administration is his long meeting with Putin on the issue of Ukraine. The myth promoted by even some "independent leftists" is that since American imperialism wrong (and it is wrong), then we must praise Putin as a good guy. The truth is that American imperialism is evil and wrong, but Putin is never some nice guy. He was a former KGB agent who oppressed dissidents. He is a far-right ideologue who hates democracy and progressive views. He goes as far as restricting religious evangelism in Russia. He is funded by wealthy far right Russian oligarchs who lust for money and wealth. The issue is how the US/NATO alliance has expanded into Eastern Europe. Russia doesn't like this, so they have about 100,000 troops near the Ukraine border. Russia refuses to accept Ukraine being part of NATO. If Russia invades Ukraine, then Russia would be in violation of international law and be completely imperialistic. Biden is far more hawkish on foreign policy from his actions. We want the worst to be averted. If a war happens between America and Russia (including China), then that is something we don't want. Putin doesn't want NATO arming Ukraine with missile bases as a red line. Biden said he doesn't follow red lines which is provocative rhetoric. There is no evidence now that Putin will invade Ukraine. At the end of the day, we want a war avoided. The only solution is a negotiated peace, and that will take time.
