Kamala Harris' Historic Acceptance of the Democratic Nomination at the DNC.

Vice President Kamala Harris gave her anticipated speech and accepted her Democratic Party's historic nomination at the DNC. She is the first black woman and South Asian woman Democratic Presidential nominee in American history. That is a very important time in our human history representing our new generation. Her speech wanted to combine progressive views with a stricter foreign policy. We don't desire the extreme foreign policy views of either imperialism or isolationism. We need a pro-peace, pro-democracy, and pro-international collaboration foreign policy. The Democrats wanted to reclaim the ethos of patriotism from Republicans, who historically claim to have a monopoly on it (which isn't true). Kamala Harris' speech wanted to show nuisance to many issues, especially immigration (like wanting strong border security and a pathway to citizenship simultaneously). The DNC has been like a party with a DJ, people dancing, and other youthful vibes.  The 2024 DNC is unlike any other convention that I have ever seen being filled with celebrities, music, dancing, and pure diversity of background and thought presented. Kamala Harris desires to be the President of all Americans. Her speech set her agenda in contrast to Trump's extreme agenda which is about bigotry, hatred, and division. She believes in a tax cut for the middle class, border security, and women's rights. After the speech, 100,000 balloons were dropped at the DNC. The families of Harris and Walz came on stage to celebrate the official nomination together. Vice President Kamala Harris said that we have more in common than what separates us. Harris wants to define her identity, not let others define her. Kamala Harris spoke with authority and a professional quality. She said that Donald Trump and J.D. Vance denigrate America which is true.

Trump calls America a total disaster and Vance has shamed single people in America. Harris wants Israel to defend itself but recognizes the massive deaths of Palestinians in Gaza. She wants Palestine to be a self-determined nation Kamala Harris wants the end to the war, a ceasefire, and return all hostages back to Israel. Over 20,000 people were in the United Arena in Chicago to witness her historic speech. Her intro and outro music was Beyonce's song of Freedom. Kamala Harris gave an eloquent, nuisance speech. Her speech views America as a place of opportunity and gives a responsibility to help others in America and throughout the world. Kamala Harris thanked President Joe Biden in her opening remarks at the DNC. Day 4 also has North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper saying that Harris is ready to fight for you. Maya Harris, Kamala Harris's sister, praised Kamala Harris's leadership skills as Kamala Harris has already made executive-level accomplishments now. Their mother Dr. Shyamala Gopalan Harris was a scientist and civil rights activist in California. Former Rep. Kinzinger said that Democracy knows no Party. He is one of the many Republicans who is voting for Kamala Harris. Governor Whitmer said that Harris is tough and tested. Actress Eva Longoria praised the Harris candidacy. Arizona Rep. Gallego celebrated the veterans as lawmakers who served in the military joined him on stage. Senator Mark Kelly wanted to promote national security, and he said that Trump is a danger to national security. Leon Panetta supported Kamala Harris and Pink performed What About Us with her daughter. Gabby Giffords gave an emotional speech to fight gun violence. Michigan sheriff Chris Swanson, comedian D. L. Hughley, and other people gave words to support Kamala Harris too. Kerry Washington wants us to do something. Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania gave his words to promote the Harris candidacy. The Chicks perform the National Anthem. Many women wore white on stage to honor the 60th anniversary of Fannie Lou Hamer's speech at the DNC to condemn injustice in America. Craig Sicknick condemned January 6th and how Trump provoked the mob of terrorists to harm innocent human life. Basketball star Steph Curry endorsed Kamala Harris in a video at DNC. John Russell advocates for working-class Americans, especially in Appalachia in West Virginia. Climate change was talked about by Interior Secretary Deb Haaland. Al Sharpton spoke in opposition to Trump, and members of the Central Park Five spoke in favor of justice too. Senator Elizabeth Warren said that Kamala Harris can't be bought and can't be bossed around. There were many speakers at the DNC on its last day. The Democratic National Convention of 2024 was a celebration, a call to work, a reclamation of what America is (filled with complexity, diversity, imperfections that must be eliminated, and being in love with human equality), and the necessity to defend our democracy.

Day 3 of the Democratic National Convention has been filled with powerful guests and a total contrast to the RNC. The themes of passionate speeches, emotional words, and inspiration are part of the convention too. The speeches by a diverse amount of people focused on promoting hope and joy along with not dismissing people that you disagree with. Many people who disagree with you can change down the road. Former President Bill Clinton gave his speech promoting the agenda of joy. Oprah Winfrey addressed the audience to discuss the urgency of Americans to choose joy. Oprah Winfrey said that Kamala Harris is emblematic of the best of America. She told the story of the late civil rights hero Tessie Prevost (who started to desegregate the New Orleans elementary schools in 1960 along with three other black girls decades ago). Oprah said that the New Orleans Four paved the way for Kamala Harris to integrate the public schools in Berkley, California. Oprah Winfrey said that Kamala Harris is the daughter of immigrants from Jamaica and India being what America truly is. Oprah said that people help each other regardless of background and can save a cat in a fire too (about J. D. Vance's sexist remark that America is run by single women with cats). Nancy Pelosi spoke. Relatives of the Israeli hostages Jon Polin and Rachel Goldberg-Polin gave an emotional speech about the need to free hostages and peace. The Uncommitted group wants a speaker from a Palestinian American. They were denied, so they staged a sit-in outside the United Center with Minnesota Rep. Ihan Omar briefly joining the group. The convention on Day 3 showed footage of the January 6th insurrection along with Trump provoking the insurrections to fight at the U.S. Capitol.

Trump watched television in the White House doing nothing for hours while terrorists assaulted the police, destroyed property, and harmed innocent human life at the U.S. Capitol. Trump was impeached twice. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg contrasted Trump's nefarious agenda with the politics of Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Singer John Legend and drummer Sheila E. played Prince's song Let's Go Crazy. Stevie Wonder gave a speech to promote peace and justice. He performed his iconic song of Higher Ground. Tim Walz gave his nomination speech as the Vice-Presidential candidate. He has introduced himself to the American public. Walz described himself as a high school teacher, football coach, hunter, and neighbor. Walz said that in Minnesota that we respect our neighbors regardless of the chooses they make, etc. He supported gun control, stopping book bans, and fighting for fertility treatments. He said that his family of Hope, Gus, and Gwen are his world. Gus Walz (his son) stood up and applauded his father with tears in his eyes. The Neil Young song of Rockin' in the Free World blared in the United Center stage.

There are 56 protesters arrested on Tuesday after clashes with the police outside the Israeli Consulate in Chicago during the DNC. This comes after violent clashes with the police in Chicago. The Israeli Consulate is about 2 miles from the United Center where the Democrats are having their ceremony. The police claimed that they tried to do de-escalation tactics. Many of them are accused of damaging property, resisting arrest, and battery plus assault. Sneiling said that the protesters showed up to fight the police. Others disagree like Hatem Abudayyeh, co-founder of the U.S. Palestinian Community Network. He said that the police must keep the peace. He said that the police have the responsibility to not infringe on the First Amendment right to protest. Sneiling said that many people called women police officers vulgar, sexist, and explicit names, but they stood their ground. The vast majority of the protesters in Chicago since Monday have been peaceful.
