Obama Bans Signs From Rally To Be Watched By Millions

Barack Obama's campaign has banned all signs and posters from his upcoming Berlin Rally in Germany, an event expected to be attended by millions and watched by millions more around the world.

Though billed as a security precaution, the decision to prohibit signs will prevent a repeat of an infamous occurrence at an Austin, Texas rally last year when several 9/11 truth signs were prominently visible during Obama's speech.

According to the German media, the order has been issued by Obama staffers, despite the fact that German forces will be in charge of the event's security this Thursday.

German newspaper Berliner Morgenpost reported that the presumptive Democratic nominee's "supervisors" have demanded no signs be present at the speech.

A further headline in the German Daily Bild read "Barack Obama forbids protest posters".

The article reads:

Which Translates as:

Obama’s organization is leaving nothing to chance. As of Monday flyers are being passed out near Berlin’s Zoo that read “Posters & banners not allowed.” For security reasons visitors should not take purses or backpacks.

Two other German newspapers, Zeit Online and Berliner Zeitung, also ran the story, explaining that the decision to ban signs and banners came directly from the Obama campaign.

Obama's official campaign website also carries an announcement asking those attending the rally not to bring signs:

"For security reasons, do not bring bags. Please limit personal belongings. No signs or banners permitted," the announcement reads.

The move will ensure that any dissenting signs or protest material, such as 9/11 Truth signs, will not be permitted and will be treated by authorities as a possible security threat.

Obama's February 2007 Austin Rally, during which multiple 9/11 truth signs were present, caused a stir after several traditional media outlets, such as Reuters and the Associated Press, edited out the protest signs.

However photographs and footage made it onto the web thanks to activists and the alternative media.

Obama's "world tour" has raised security concerns to levels not seen since the Illinois senator began his presidential bid, officials told the Drudge Report last week.

The Senator's specific itinerary during stops throughout Europe is not being made public.

The mainstream media has declared Europe to be in a state of "Obamamania" and has been excessively comparing the presidential candidate to John F. Kennedy.

Obama's speech will take place in front of Tiergarten Park's Victory Column, a 19th century structure in Berlin capped by a gilded angel.

After German officials cited reservations, the location was changed from the Brandenburg Gate, the iconic structure associated with the division of Germany during the Cold War, and the site where Ronald Reagan asked the Soviet Union to bring down the Berlin Wall in 1987.
