The epitome of the anti-gun mindset

I couldn't resist posting this. I can understand (somewhat) being against firearms but this lady takes the cake. For those who don't remember, in December, 2007, Matthew Murray walked into a school for young missionaries in Arvada, Colorado and fatally shot two people. 12 hours later, 65 miles away, Matthew walked into the school's parent megachurch in Colorado Springs, just as services were ending. He fatally shot two people in the parking lot and upon entering the building shot and wounded one more. Then, he was confronted and shot by Jeanne Assam, a volunteer security guard who was only armed by virtue of a CCW permit. Although she was a former police officer, she acted in no official capacity, other than that granted by the church and her state issued CCW permit. Given the thousands of people at the church at the time, and the number of arms and large amount of ammunition carried by Matt, the outcome could have been far worse.

How can Mika refuse to admit that one person with a gun can make a positive difference? Can she be that brainwashed to believe that guns are evil, always and ever, and can't possibly ever be used for a favorable purpose? Let's face it. The police can't be everywhere, and especially where you need them and when you need them the most. Police, by their very nature, are a 'reactive' force, responding to a crime almost always after the fact. Only you can be responsible for the immediate safety of yourself and your family when help is a phone call and several minutes away.

As long as there continues to be 'gun free zones', where only law-abiding people will be 'unarmed', there's always the chance a psycho will exploit it, unopposed. Should it ever 'happen to you', you may get a call in to 911, but it may take the rest of your life before help arrives.
