Fast Information

Homeschooling is growing in America. It has been going up since 5 years according to Jancie Lloyd from USA Today. New research finds that there are broader reasons for the homeschooling appeal. There are 1.5 million home schooled kids in 2007. This number is up 74% from when the Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics started keeping track in 1999. It has been up 36% from 2003. The percentage of the school-age population that was home-schooled increased from 2.2% in 2003 to 2.9% in 2007. Gail Mulligan said that the numbers will go up some more. Gail is the statistician at the center. Usually, the biggest factors for parents to teach their children at home have been for moral or religious reasons. That still remains a top pick when parents are asked to explain their choice. Mulligan for the 2003 survey want to add more picks to see why parents choose homeschooling. One of the categories is an interest in a non-traditional approach of education (or that parents who don't like the standard curriculum methods and standardized testing as being counterproductive to a quality education). The category of "other reasons" rose to 32% in 2007 from 20% in 2003 and included family time and finances. That suggests the demographics are expanding beyond conservative Christian groups, says Robert Kunzman, an associate professor at Indiana University's School of Education. Robert said that parents want their kids to learn at their own pace. The 2007 estimates are based on data from the Parent and Family Involvement in Education Survey of the National Household Education Surveys. Some like Brian Ray, president of the National Home Education Research Institute, believes that the data in the homeschooling study are low since parents are less likely to answer government sponsored surveys.

Leon Panetta has been chosen by the Barack Obama team as the possible new CIA Director. Podesta was the graduate of the Jesuit Santa Clara University. People from both major parties have criticized this choice. The reason is that they believe that Podesta doesn't have enough experience to achieve a position as the CIA Director. Now, Panetta was born in Monterey, California. He is the son of Italian immigrants who owned a restaurant there. He become involved in student politics as early as being in Monterey High School. In 1956 he entered Santa Clara University, and in 1960 he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During Bill Cinton's time, he was the White House Chief to Staff. He is the founder and director of the Panetta Institute. He worked under Nixon in dealing with civil rights issues. Richard Nixon promoted the "Southern Strategy" which was criticized as being racially insensitive. Penetta was caught in the middle of promoting civil rights while working under Richard Nixon. By 1971, he switched to the Democratic Party, because he thought the Republicans were not center enough. Typically, his politics are basically establishment liberal. Now, Barack Obama's cabinent has been inclusive of numerous folks from the Cinton administration.

Akram al-Sattari from Global Research on January 6, 2009 made known about the battles going on in Israel and Gaza. Akram wrote about an interview dealing with Dr. Mads Gilbert. Akram said that a report from Gilbert outlined information that the attacks in Gaza are deliberately directed against the civilians using new unconventional weapons. Israeli leaders would disagree with that, but it is apparent that civilians are dying in an immoral fashion within the borders of Gaza. This is a humanitarian catastrophe. Dr. Mads Gilbert is a Norwegian doctor who is trying to help the victims of Gaza. Gilbert said that the Israelis are using the DIME weapon. DIME is short for the Dense Inert Metal Explosive weapon that is made out of a tungsten alloy. They have an enormous power to explode. These weapons can cause cancer as Mads suspect. This is occuring in Gaza and the doctor says that this is against international law. Even if you exclude international law, it's wrong to use DIME weapons in harming people in Gaza. There are patients in hospitals within Gaza that have experienced severe amputations, they experienced burns, etc. as a product of experiencing DIME. Half of the population in Palestine are below 15 years and 80 percent of the people in Gaza live below the level of poverty defined by the UN. Dr. Gilbert commented that the Palestinian doctors are doing a great job in helping the victims. It's apparent that these bombings are immoral as conducted by Israel. The reason is that these strikes are into high densley populated areas. Even if you seek to murder Hamas memebers, civilians are likely to die. Likewise, Hamas bombing civilian targets in Israel is also immoral. Regardless of where you stand on issues pertaining to the Middle East, these actions should be condemned. Gaza has about 1.5 million people and depleted uranium has been utilized in the region as well. Certainly, the law abiding people in Israel should tell their government to stop these atrocities indeed. This isn't just occuring in one city like Shifa. It's occuring in many cities. So, we should never trust the government of Israel, Jordan, Egypt, the West Bank, Saudi Arabia, etc. 100% at all. Some believe that Israel is doing this since some of the centrists in Israel fear that Netanyahu will be even be more hawkish than the present government (therefore using these strikes against Gaza might prevent him from taking the Prime Minister spot while trying to control that region more). I respect the right of Jewish people and Arabic to live in where they want (in Israel, etc.), but not government terrorism like this from Israel or Hamas. Condoleeza Rice supports the France/Egypt plan for a cease fire in the conflict.

Steven Ertelt from LifeNews.com on January 5, 2009 wrote about Dawn Johnsen. She was a leading pro-abortion lawyer as his top legal counsel. Barack Obama finialized the appointment of Dawn as the Assistant Attorney General for the Office of the Legal Counsel in the Obama administration. Johnsen is a professor ironically at the Indiana University School of Law. She is an abortion advocate and worked for one of the leading abortion advocacy groups. Johnsen was the Legal Director for NARAL from 1988-1993. She served in Clinton administration. In that time, she was the Acting Assistant Attorney General heading the Office of Legal Counsel from 1997 to 1998. She was the Deputy Assistant Attorney General from 1993 to 1996. She was even from the Clinton transition team in 1992. Wendy Wright, who isthe head of Concerned Women for America, told LifeNews.com that Obama's selection reveals a lot about his pro-abortion views and that Johnsen should be disqualified because of her work with a leading abortion advocacy group. She said that: "NARAL’s obsession with abortion skews its legal positions, blinding it to the Constitution’s equal protection for all human beings....The fact that Ms. Johnsen worked for NARAL is a huge black mark against her judgment and exposes her bias." Wright said that Obama loses credibility each time he appoints another member of the abortion lobby in his administration. Mike Fichter of the executive director of Indiana Right to Life criticized Johnsen as a person who loves abortion on demand. This is a sign that pro life people will have to work harder against the pro-abortion policies of Barack Obama (including his cabinet that in some cases are even more pro-abortion than Obama is).

Tim Kaine appears to be chosen by Barack Obama as to head the Democratic Party. He was chosen for many reasons. Tim Kaine is the Governor of my state of Virginia. Kaine is a moderate on policies and has a more nice demeanor than other Democrats like Howard Dean. Governor Tim Kaine is pro-abortion though. Kaine expresses a religious opposition to abortion, but supports legal abortions. Kaine told the Washington Post, during his 2001 campaign for Lt. Governor, that he "opposes efforts to restrict abortions" and that he "opposes efforts to require a parent's consent before a minor gets an abortion." Tim Kaine tried to temper his pro-abortion rhetoric to win an election (He beat pro-abortion state Senator Republican Russell Potts and Jerry Kilgore). NARAL's Virginia affiliate of course promoted Tim Kaine. This is morally baffling since that's similar to be opposed to slavery, but legal slavery is fine. I don't agree with that outlook on abortion or slavery at all. Obama wants Kaine to spread his agenda into the public. Tim Kaine was one of the most potent defenders of Barack Obama during the Presidential campaign. He cheered and celebreated when Barack Obama won the election of 2008. He was one of the reasons why Virginia went to Obama. Kaine may operate the party from Richmond, Virginia until January 2010. This is the time when he is expected to head to Washington. That's because Kaine still has one year left to serve of his term as governor. Kaine doesn't call himself as a Beltway politican. He won a gubernatorial race in Virginia, where Republicans have a huge influence. Now, Clinton agent Democrat Terry McAuliffe (who ran the Democratic Party) is trying to run for Governor of Virginia. Terry wants to visit Hampton Roads (where I live at), Bristol, Richmond, and other cities (He other Democrats are vying for the spot like Creigh Deeds and Brian Moran). They will likely face Republican Attorney General Bob McDonnell. Terry is from New York, so I don't support an establishment Democrat carpetbagger trying to run my state of Virginia at all.

Some data suggests that an Ice Age will occur within 5 decades. There has been research don't by many scientists on this issue. Now, the 1998 El Nino is disappearing off the 10 year scale. Some believe that things will look different in the future. According to the National Climatic Data Center, December 2008 is a sign of a drop in temperatures. They found that annual North American temperatures since 1998 (which is about 11 years of data) is falling over the period of a 0.78 F/decade or 7.8 degrees F per century. They believe that at this rate, an ice age could occur within 5 decades. There is a graph about this reality. This is under the mountain of evidence refuting man-made global warming. Even a blogger found error in NASA climate data that once said that we are witnessing record warmth in the world. Some believe that this is the new evidence of global cooling. The sun is having little sunspots and some predict that this trend will continue onward for many decades to come. Roland Burris might very well be the new Senator of Illionois. He had discussion with Sens. Harry Reid and Dick Durbin. Some of the Democrats were hesitant in doing so, because Gov. Rod Blagojevich is being charged of corruption (i.e. selling a Senate seat). Rod has denied the charges. Meanwhile, Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, sued the Senate Wednesday, saying the refusal to seat Burris is unconstitutional. This is ironic since conservatives rarely support Democrats like Roland Burris.

Pat Robertson is expressing more confirmation that he is a disinformationalist and a big agent of the establishment. Pat Roberston old CNN's Suzanne Malveaux that he was pleased with Barack Obama being elected. He said these words because of the choices Obama made of his cabinet (and Pat feels that Barack Obama has the makings of a great President). Robertson claimed that Barack's cabinet picks were middle of the road. Obama's cabinet aren't really middle of the road. Some of them are far left and others are pro-establishment. Some of them are members of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, and even the Bilderberg Group. For example, Timothy Geithner is to head up the Treasury. He was the head of the Federal Reserve bank of New York. Trilateralist Paul Volcker was apart of the Economic Recovery Advisory Board. The CFR according to Carrol Quigley (who is a professor from Jesuit Georgetown University) was created as: "...the American Branch of a society which originated in England… (and) …believes national boundaries should be obliterated and one-world rule established.” Ironically, Robertson wrote a book entitled "The New World Order" where he tries to expose the new world order. Through intimidation, Robertson refuses to expose the new world order agenda at all. Even ex-member of the CFR Rear Admiral Chester Ward said that the CFR wants to end the sovereignity of America. Pat Robertson claimed that God told him that America will accept socialism as a means to improve our economy in the USA. Barack Obama certainly is inheriting the bad economic policies of past Presidents. The deal is that this economic crisis was created in part by the FED (via hyper inflation, booms and busts, overspending, in order to allow the government to control more of our economy, espically our industries). Barack Obama wants a stimulus plan that includes spending and tax cuts. Robertson said that the dollar value will go down and the price of gold will increase. The goal of the banking internationalists is to create a global economic monopoly where select people will control most of the wealth of the world (to create a global government system). Robertson praising socialism and praising Barack Obama is apart of a scheme in order to lull his flock to sleep, while the government goes ahead with militarization, bad economic policies, and the evil war on terror. There is nothing wrong with being a religious conservative, but Pat isn't. He has long supported the forced abortion policies of China. Scandals has befalled him (along with his many false predictions in times past) for decades.
