They were doing this stuff in 2008 too. I saw Romney give a red meat speech in which he ripped into welfare recipients like they were some kind of vermin. Most disgusting thing I've ever seen in politics.

hmmmm ... this shrill GOP rhetoric wanting to contain, even dismantle social security laws which benefit the under-privileged is equally shrill about keeping the Bush tax cuts which benefit the privleged. And this is happening when the concentration of wealth for the privileged in America is now unprecedented (top 10% have over 50% of all income). This "let them eat cake "GOP posture can lead to troubling times ahead if it prevails. This is the stuff of revolution!
