I've been to demonstrations where stuff happens which the demonstrators and the orgaanizers of the demo didn't want to plan. One of the most famous--notorious- -examples from the 1960s was the riot that broke out in Memphis in March 1968 which disrupted a march that Dr. king was trying to lead. We now have documented evidence that the agitators were police/FBI provocateurs. Even before info came out through the Freedom of Information Act, some of King's staff member--Andrew Young, in particular--report ed that there were youngsters who were PAID to cause the disruption in order to discredit Dr. King, disrupt the momentum of the sanitation workers strike, and obstruct to effort to move from memphis to the full scale launching of the Poor Peoples Campaign. I have myself been in demonstrations in the South, here in Bmore and in DC where I observe behavior which looked like the classic tactics of the provocateur. Also, we're simply dealing with human beings. I remember telling bro. Eddie Conway that I couldn't agree with his speculation that the April 2015 uprising was FBI instigated. (Having been himself the victim of COINTELPRO he may sometimes see FBI fingerprints even when they're not there). So, admidst all the tension in Baltimore shortly after Freddie Gray's death, and efforts by police to harass us during our NONVIOLENT demonstrations, you had a climate in the city where things could blow up. When it happened the police tried to blame BLM and ofther left progressive groups. But what happened is that these kids---12--18--wer e let out of school early. No school bus, no adults around. And they acted on their own. And Baltimore erupted. BLM would never instigate something like this. The ANTIFAS, from what I've seen (and read about their European counter parts) don't operate like this. They do believe in discipline. Actually, Baltimore is one of the LEAST expensive cities on the east coast. You'd have to move much deeper South to find one less expensive. It has a high concentration of universities and cultural institutions. There is widespread poverty, but that's pretty much the case throughout urban and much of suburban American. Having grown up in Baltimore, but also having lived in every major area except the west coast, i can tell you that even the hideous poverty here (which I know from experience growing on Eastside), is often less grinding than what you will find in most other major cities. I've even heard people from NYC, Chicago, Detroit, Newark and other cities say (after they've seen our poor areas) that "there aren't any ghettoes in Baltimore." As a young person who lived in the east Baltimore ghetto when I first heard people saying, I was stunned ("Where the f**K you come from, man? Calcutta?" I'd reply). But after seeing South Bronx, Chicago southside and towns in New Jersey, I could see why they said that. Baltimore also has a sizeable Black middle class, of which I am now a part. It has a significant white, Latin and Asian middle class also. People who for many reasons have decided not to leave the city. And no, we don't welcome white nationalist, Nazis, Klansmen and other stupid reactionaries like "The Fascist" (who calls himself "The Patriot"), Paul Pervert or OhReally Stupid. Which is probably why those who live here tend to keep a low profile and disguise themselves. Most of our Nazis are Republicans because that's the most "respectable " label they can have for their racist madness. Antifas didn't burn any CVS, . Stop making stuff up. They didn't burn CVS. As for the black political class, or black MISLEADERSHIP CLASS as BlackAgenda.com calls them, they will have to answer to us. So, will YOU if Antifa doesn't get to you first.
