Emmanuel Macron

When I think about Emmanuel Macron, I think that he is a deceiving neoliberal masquerading as a progressive. We know that Marine Le Pen is an extremist and doesn’t need to lead France politically. Likewise, it is important to issue a poignant critique of Emmanuel Macron. More and more people understand Macron’s real story. He was a former investment banker and economics minister in the government of President Francois Hollande. Angela Merkel and Barack Obama support him. Macron is loved by the establishment, since he promotes their goal of global capital running amok in the world. Macron has passed anti-labor legislation which caused the rise of the progressive yellow vest movement. Macron agrees with the further privatization of health care and education in France, and we have to know of these things. He is the ultimate hypocrite by lecturing Africans about civilization, but France has a known imperialistic history of stealing resources from Africa for centuries. Some scapegoat immigrants in France via xenophobic, racist rhetoric when the Germanic Franks didn’t originate from France. The Franks came from Germany as they are a Germanic ethnic group. The Celts lived in France centuries before the Frankish people. Therefore, we have to look at history and truth. The world is a multicultural place, and we reject hypocrites. We must expose far right, xenophobic extremists like Marine Le Pen and neoliberal compromisers like Emmanuel Macron too. France is a nation with a long history. In our time, more people want revolutionary change and justice.

The Election

Emmanuel Macron served as the economic minister in the government of PS President Francois Hollande. He supports the growth of the European Union. He was born in Amiens, France. He studied philosophy at Paris Nanterre University. He was an investment banker at Rothschild and Cie Banque. He ran for the President of France back in 2017. The French economist Sophie Ferracci headed his campaigns. The campaign raised more than 3.7 million euros. Many in the French media promoted his candidacy. He is friends with the owners of Le Monde. The magazine Marianne has reported that BFMTV, whose owner is Patrick Drahi, has broadcast more coverage of Macron than all four main candidates combined. He was in a runoff against National Front candidate Marine Le Pen after the first presidential election. The second round was on April 23, 2017. Since Le Pen was radically right wing, many other people supported Macron like European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and former U.S. President Barack Obama. On May 7, 2017, Macron was elected President of France with 66.1% of the vote compared to Marine Le Pen's 33.9%. The election had record abstention at 25.4% and 8% of ballots being blank or spilt. Macron resigned from his role as president of En Marche and Catherine Barbaroux became interim leader. At 39, Macron was the youngest President in French history. He was the first President of France born after the establishment of the Fifth Republic in 1958.

Macron formally became President on May 14, 2017. He appointed Patrick Strzoda as his chief of staff and Ismaël Emelien as his special advisor for strategy, communication and speeches. On May 15, 2017, he appointed Édouard Philippe of the Republicans as Prime Minister. On the same day, he made his first official foreign visit, meeting in Berlin with Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany. The two leaders emphasized the importance of France–Germany relations to the European Union.  They agreed to draw up a "common road map" for Europe, insisting that neither was against changes to the Treaties of the European Union. Macron promoted reforms on public ethics, labor laws, taxes, and law enforcement agency powers. Macron has cut taxes and replaced the wealth tax with a real estate tax. He wanted to cut jobs from the French civil service. He has promoted stricter, anti-terror laws. Macron is a centrist. Macron made the statement that anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism. Many anti-Semites are anti-Zionists, but others aren’t anti-Semitic. Not every anti-Zionist person is anti-Semitic. Also, Macron is dealing with the populist yellow vest movement for economic justice. It started in France in October 2018.

Bigotry

Emmanuel Marcon is a false liberal for many reasons. With the recent yellow vest movement, he has been reluctant to advance revolutionary views. Also, his deplorable comments about Africa outline his nefarious agenda too. He said that racist comment that Africa has "civilizational" problems when tons of African locations have elevators, advanced transportation, great housing and technological development. He ignores the fact that French colonialism and imperialism harmed many Africans for centuries, and people have the right to reject paternalism plus embrace self-determination to achieve their own destinies. It is not secret that many Western elites advocate massive African population decline in trying to control Africa since Africans are increasing their populations. More flourishing African populations is a blessing along with technological developments. Africans need respect not radical population reduction. It is ironic too since many Europeans have low population growth, but some of these same Westerners want to falsely scapegoat Africans for their own problems. Marcon said that he wants to stop African's population growth which is a call for evil anti-African growth. Marcon is a total enemy. We believe in total, uncompromising black liberation.

French President Marcon is wrong about praising Philippe Pétain because of many reasons. Petain was a member of the collaborationist pro-Nazi Vichy government in France during World War II. Petain was a fascist leader who supported oppression and other evils. He supported the mass deportation of 75,000 Jewish people from France into the death camps. He fought the French resistance and sent soldiers to the Nazis in fighting the Soviet Union. He was convicted of treason after World War II and was placed into life in prison. Marcon privatized the National Railways by decree, despite strike action and opposition from 95 percent of rail workers. Now, even as his ratings plunge and his ministerial cabinet disintegrates, he is forging ahead with cuts to pensions, health care and unemployment insurance, while strengthening the state’s police powers. Marcon said viciously racist comments about Africa that I won't mention here. So, Marcon is no liberal hero. He is a neo-liberal elitist who desire the status quo.

Hypocrisies

I’m not holding back. Many of these hypocrites are not only far right xenophobes, but some neoliberals who lecture others on immigration. Many are trying to not allow refugees into Europe while hypocritically supporting the brutal policies of the war on terror which contributes to refugees coming into Europe in the first place. Refugees are coming to places globally because of capitalist exploitation and the imperialistic policies of the West. Then, these same liars want to scapegoat migrants when they supported Western empires damaging the world (especially in the global South) for centuries. The same ones who lecture others on bootstraps and the free market are silent on government bailouts for corporations and desire tax cuts for the super wealthy. The important point is that human justice is an international affair. That means that freedom shouldn’t just exist in America. It should exist worldwide.

Weeks ago, there was a discussion among Zarlena Maxwell, Andrew Sullivan, and other people in Chris Matthews' Hardball show. Sullivan blasted Malcolm Nance as a hack and believing in conspiratorial views. The truth is that Nance is hawkish, and I don't agree with him on some issues. Yet, he isn't some hack, and Nance is right that Russian intelligence has been complicit in nefarious actions. Andrew Sullivan claims to be a centrist, but made the xenophobic remark that we must choose between mass immigration or democracy. The reality is that mass immigration brings taxes, cultural development, and diversity in American society. These great immigrants exist in every color and of every background. In other words, black immigrants exist too. I respect a black immigrant in favor of black liberation over Jesse Lee Peterson (who was born in America. I don't respect Jesse Lee Peterson at all). The reality is that democracy is enhanced by immigration. Suppressing immigrant rights harms democracy. Also, migrants are coming into Europe, because Western elites have used policies like occupation, imperialism, and theft of resources against the global South (and Middle Eastern nations) that have devastated those territories for decades and centuries.

That devastation is causing migration into Europe. Sullivan loves to scapegoat immigrants when he ignores how Western imperialism and economic exploitation contributes to economic destabilization. Sullivan talking over people is typical of an extremist like him. Sullivan agreed with the unjust invasion of Iraq which started back in 2003. He praised the racist book called the Bell Curve. He hypocritically claims to want less government intervention, but agrees with the existence of Social Security. Sullivan's behavior is not shocking. The silence of Matthews is surprising since he knows Nance. Not to mention that Zarlena Maxwell refuted Sullivan's charges. Maxwell has been very cordial and strong. Sullivan defends Tony Blair, who is complicit in the Iraq War disaster. Centrism doesn't work as history teaches us. Centrism believes in the myth that piecemeal actions are enough to make thorough change. The truth is that real change must be comprehensive and power must extent to all of the people ASAP, not just to the 1 percent. Centrism extends suffering among the oppressed. Dr. King and especially Malcolm X weren't centrists. Both men opposed the Vietnam War, critiqued capitalism, organized movements, and wanted international change. They promoted revolutionary solutions to complex problems.

France Deserves Better

Also, it is essential to delve into international news. We just saw mass demonstrations in France, because human beings in that country reject regressive taxation. Regressive taxation disproportionately harms the poor and the middle class. Young people and others of every age bracket have stood up and protested for economic justice. Emmanuel Marcon has forsaken his progressive platitudes by endorsing a military draft, using a pro-corporate restructuring of universities, and laying off teachers. Ambulance drivers and other workers have protested too. Opposition to austerity policies is a worldwide phenomenon. Marcon has once considered giving France a state of emergency, but he might concede more. This shows that organized people can make a difference in society.

One of the most important movements of activism right now is the yellow vest movement in France. The yellow vest movement is about promoting economic justice for French workers. This movement isn't just found in France. Belgian police were aggressive against Belgian yellow vest wearers. Such protesters were in the Netherlands and in Iraq to combat contaminated water. In Burkina Faso, a Facebook group has been set up calling for such protests on December 13. It states: “So on December 13, 2018, across Burkina Faso, let us occupy without violence and pacifically every street corner and intersection in our neighborhoods in the cities and villages across the entire country to say: –No to the rise in fuel prices // –No to injustice in all its forms.” A group of Red Vests activists are in Tunisia calling for justice too. This shows that the worldwide workers' fight for justice is widespread. Marcon has betrayed the French people. He has been out to refuse to repeal tax cuts for the wealthy and spoke coded xenophobic language recently about wanting some debate on national "identity" and "secularism." The yellow vest heroes in France have experienced police brutality, tear gas, and arrests, but they are still going strong in their legitimate goal of freedom. Now, we have French cops brutalizing high school kids in a Paris suburbs because they joined the Yellow vest protests. So, the truth is on our side.

Conclusion (for Summer 2019)

During this time in 2019, this year has established itself with many developments. From triumphs to tragedies, we witnesses tons of changes in the Earth. The Democratic Presidential 2020 primary is underway with Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, Bernie Sanders, Beto O'Rourke, Cory Booker, Joe Biden, and other political leaders running for the Presidency. The Mueller report is finally released, and it didn't exonerate Trump on obstruction of justice. That is why many House Democrats are issuing subpoenas in order for them to get to the bottom of the truth. Congress has a legal right to investigate many matters. It is important for anyone to maintain independent thinking including political independence. Independent thinking means that you're not swayed by anything but the truth. It means that you care for the people, and you live life in the interest of the people. Advocating for universal health care, a minimum wage of at least $15 an hour, college debt forgiveness, a total fight to defeat police brutality, and expansion of voting rights, investments in infrastructure, and other progressive policies make sense.

There is the reality of armed vigilante militia groups illegally detaining migrants along the U.S./Mexico border. This is fascism. No armed vigilante has the right to illegally detain any human being. United Constitutional Patriots (UCP) is one name of such organization. Trump has promoted xenophobic rhetoric by slandering migrants as "invaders." ICE has increasingly detained many people including black immigrants. Some of the vigilante groups falsely called themselves as Border Patrol. Many members of such groups have ties to neo-Nazis, white supremacists, etc. For example, the neo-Nazi co-founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC), J.T. Ready, was investigated for the murder of 3 migrants. He was investigated by the FBI. He committed suicide. Three members of the Minutemen American Defense militia, a split-off from the MCDC, were convicted in 2011 for the 2009 murders of Raul Flores Jr. and his nine-year-old daughter Brisenia. This is not new, but the persecution of immigrants continues even in 2019.

Hundreds of prosecutors (i.e. 566 former DOJ officials, which includes Republicans and Democrats) have said in a statement that Trump obstructed justice. In the realm of life, we have to promote health care for all people. We have to endorse investments in real education, and we have to believe in environmental justice where ecological devastation is defeated. Defending the right to vote is one of the most important actions to do. After Amendment 4 was passed in Florida, voter registration increased twofold. This positive result was the products of the dedicated efforts of activists, families, and progressive people who really believe in the principle that voting is a total human right. Recently, Jerry Falwell Jr. said that he wanted reparations for Trump in a mocking way by desiring Trump to spend 2 more years in office. This comes after the Mueller reports has exposed the corruption of the Trump administration. Falwell Jr. is wrong to call the investigation a coup since the investigation utilized legitimate subpoenas, witnesses, and trials that were within the bounds of the law. He is just angry, because he believes in Trump like a cult member. No man is immune from criticism. Religious hypocrites like Jerry Falwell support Trump when Trump said that he never asks God for forgiveness before. Trump uses vulgar language to describe peaceful protesters and other people. Trump is a racist, because he said that a judge can't rule fairly because of his ethnicity, he has slurred nations with a majority of people of black African descent, he praised neo-Confederates plus neo-Nazis as "fine people," and has executed policies that are detrimental to humanity. Jerry said in January of 2019 that nothing that Trump would do would relinquish his support of him. That is cultist behavior. No man is above the law. Also, Jerry's comments was disrespectful to the real reparations movement that desiring black Americans to succinctly get reparations because of the Maafa, slavery, Jim Crow, the prison industrial complex, etc.

I reject the ADOS movement 100 percent, because it limits black liberation, and many of its members are hostile to black immigrants (who helped African Americans for years. For example, Shirley Chisholm fought for African Americans, and Kool Herc invented hip hop. ADOS is filled with xenophobic, lying rhetoric). I believe in Pan African unity and Pan-Africanism. There is a recent story of a minister named Mark Thompson who had a confrontation with another person (who calls himself Afrika). This person called Thompson slurs, and that person was wrong. Later, Thompson put hands on that person. I don't believe in putting hands on that person, but I understand why Thompson was angry. Mark Thompson experienced verbal abuse and was blocked in trying to walk away by one disrespectful person (who calls himself Afrika, who has a known history of using profane language to try to provoke people into confrontations). A sister named Nkechi Taifa is a witness who saw Afrika throw Mark Thompson's producer to the ground. On the Internet, I saw the video of Afrika throwing the man to the grown violently. So, Afrika is a violent person. Thompson was in error by putting hands on that person. We have every right to express disagreements without unjust violence. This person Afrika isn't part of the ADOS, but ADOS members are exploiting this incident as an excuse to slander Mark Thompson's character. For years, Mark Thompson has advocated for reparations and black liberation long before the ADOS was born. Recently, Mark Thompson reconciled with Afrika. Many ADOS propagandists are harassing and slandering real black activists like Dr. Jared Ball, Professor Carr, and other Brothers and Sisters. I'm not intimidated by any ADOS deceiver since all black people worldwide should be free not just black people in America. I am not a descendant of slaves. I AM A DESCENDANT OF BLACK AFRICANS. My family tree didn't start with slavery. My family tree started in Africa. I will forever believe in Black Unity too.

The problem with the ADOS is that it's limited in scope. It offers no revolutionary solutions for the liberation of black people internationally. It totally ignores the problem of imperialism and ecological disasters. It promotes an agenda of division among black people based upon colonial-imposed entities like nationality. Regardless of my personal views of the ADOS (I think that the ADOS is fraudulent movement), I don't believe that every ADOS person is a Trump supporter or a Russian bot. The ADOS is composed of sexists like Tariq Nasheed, allies of Tanton (who funds Carnell's group of the PFIR. Tanton is a white supremacist) like Yvette Carnell, and an ex-writer for Newsmax like Antonio Moore (who disrespected Sister Lupita). That hypocrite Tariq Nasheed disrespected Roland Martin because some of his ancestors came from Haiti, but he featured Haitians in his 1804 documentary. Nasheed should apologize to Haitians period. By their fruits, you shall know them. The fruit of ADOS is hatred, tensions, xenophobia, anti-African rhetoric, and divisiveness.

Yvette Carnell agrees with Trump on hating birthright citizenship, calls Trump Presidential involving a speech, minimizes Russian interference in the election, and follows extreme anti-immigrant policies. Also, many of my ancestors were black Americans slaves. That doesn't mean that I have a superiority complex though. We deserve reparations, but reparations alone isn't going to cut it. We need fundamental, structural change. All black people worldwide are deserving of freedom and justice.

Also, it is important to note that incrementalism doesn't work to cause wide ranging change. Back during the days of the Roman Empire, many Christians were persecuted. Diocletian was one Roman Emperor who was one of the worst persecutors of Christians. Some Christians came into the Roman Coliseum to be feed by lions, and some suffered crucifixion unjustly because of their faith. That evil ended not by incrementalism but by efforts by dedicated souls who opposed that brutal injustice. During the antebellum period of America, slavery didn't end by incrementalism. It ended by revolts, protests, activism, and ultimately the Civil War. Therefore, we live in a new generation. We have new technologies, sometimes new issues, and a growing younger generation. Likewise, the same principles of honor for elders, the separation of church and state, the freedom of the press, the freedom of speech, the right of due process, labor rights, and other democratic rights are embraced by us thoroughly.
