It is sad that we bring in 2025 with terrorism, but we have to stand up against evil. On January 1, 2025, at 3:25 am, a cowardly terrorist named Shamsud Din Jabbar used a truck to murder people and injured over 35 people. At least 10 people were killed in New Orleans when people just wanted to celebrate the New Year on Bourbon Street. Many witnesses saw massive carnage and blood. Since 9/11, we have seen an increase of terror attacks of using vehicles. There is the necessity to have safety along with our civil liberties being protected, and we have to establish the right balance to protect our lives without our freedoms being compromised in an unjust fashion. The suspect was 42 years old, he was a Texas citizen, and he had an ISIS flag in the vehicle. The FBI, the local New Orleans police, Homeland Security, the White House, and other authorities are investigating about what has taken place. Some believe that Jabbar wasn't alone in his wicked actions. This terrorism is fascism as these terrorists want us to embrace their nihilistic views. We won't. We will stand to honor the principles of liberty and justice that our ancestors have fought for. We send empathy to all victims of this tragedy in New Orleans.
We have tons of new information about the New Orleans deadly terrorist attack that took place on January 1, 2025. We have the Sugar Bowl taking place now. There was a moment of silence heled before the college football place took place at the Superdome. The suspect, who is a coward named Jabbar, wanted to murder his own family on tape. The FBI said that so far, he acted alone. He murdered 14 people and injured dozens of others. He used a pickup truck to plow into a crowd on Bourbon Street. President Biden, citing the FBI, said that the attacker planted explosives in ice coolers in the French Quarter just hours before the attack. Biden said that the killer had a remote detonator in his vehicle to set off those two ice chests. This attack proves that ISIS is not gone, but it is still here. The killer was killed in a firefight with the police after the attack. He was a former Army veteran from Texas who had an ISIS flag in his vehicle. There are still questions on how and why Jabbar (who said that he had a will and wanted to defeat what he deemed "unbelievers") became radicalized. Also, people are questioning the security in Bourbon Street and how things can get better.
The authorities found no link between the attack in New Orleans and the Telsa Cybertruck explosion outside a Trump Hotel in Las Vegas according to the FBI. The explosion in Las Vegas involved fireworks, gas tanks, and camping fuel connected to a detonation system controlled by the driver. The person involved in the explosion in Las Vegas was an active-duty Army Green Beret. His name is Matthew Alan Livelsberger. He was on active duty in Germany with the 10th Special Forces Group but was on leave at the time of the incident. The USASOC is working with federal and state law enforcement agencies to deal with the current investigation. The US Special Forces or the Green Berets are known to use guerilla warfare and unconventional tactics as an elite fighting force. His identity was confirmed via DNA tests and tattoos that were identified by his wife. The FBI is investigation whether the explosion is related to terrorism or not. The explosion took place in the morning of New Years of 2025.
President Biden is about the award the Presidential Citizens Medal to Liz Cheney, Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (who chair the House January 6th Committee), and other human beings. He will award other people involving law, healthcare, photography, social issues, education, etc. President Biden touts his 235 judicial confirmations during his administration. He said that these men and women will safeguard democracy. These judges are the most diverse group of judges from any President in American history. They are experts in legal matters, they have judicial temperament being fair, and they love to enforce the law in a just manner. There is always the necessity for all of us to go out and live our lives in accordance with integrity and justice. As we live in 2025, we are definitely committed to freedom and true love for our core convictions.
