Nearing the end of the month.
Right now, ICE is using state of the art surveillance technologies in Minneapolis from drone devices to other advanced devices to monitor protesters and using other acts that seeks to intimidate dissenters. Trump wanting the voter rolls of various states is beyond Big Brother. It is a total tyrannical policy that seeks to violate the voting rights of Americans who don't agree with the policies of Trump. The approach of ICE towards citizens and undocumented immigrants have been excessive and dangerous on many occasions. Trump has made ICE the largest paramilitary force on American soil. The detention centers nationwide have been found to have, in many cases, deplorable conditions. Over 200 U.S. citizens have been unjustly kidnapped by the federal government recently. That is why many people in Minnesota are resisting the tyrannical and desire their neighbors to be treated with dignity and respect. We don't want innocent people to be surveilled, and their names placed into a database. Many protesters are out in the streets at temperatures below 0 degrees to stand up for justice for all.
The events in Minnesota in 2026 represent a new era of American and world history. The people of Minnesota refute the lie that cynicism is the order of the day. No, the order of the day is organizing, networking, and growing opposition to evil and injustice. Teachers, clergy people, grocers, lawyers, kids, adults, and people of all colors and backgrounds have come together to resist Trump's immigration crackdown. They have risked their lives to advocate for solutions, grow their community, and seek out pro-freedom movements. Decades from now, we will be asked where we were when such events took place. The people now have the right to answer to the people of the future that we were writing pro-democratic information, we were protesting in the street, we were helping our neighbors, and we were against the MAGA agenda in general. Millions of ordinary Americans now in 2026 will not yield to tyranny. We will continue to fight for justice and advocate for freedom for all.
Many people have criticized ICE and the DHS over their enforcement tactics. There are many people at detention centers nationwide, including children, who suffer horrendous conditions. The lie made by many it that it isn't our problem, or it doesn't affect us. Tell that to the families of the dead Americans citizens who died by ICE's hands. Tell that to the American citizens who have been beaten by ICE for no legitimate reason. An injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere, as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has eloquently mentioned. That means that when a neighbor is oppressed unjustly, it is an attack on all in the human race. Trump has allowed paramilitary ICE raids in Maine, too. The officers involved in Alex Pretti's killing have been placed on administrative leave according to DHS official. Trump lying to claim that Ilhan Omar's attack was staged shows his callousness and wicked mentality. MAGA is a wicked cult that violates the Golden Rule in a constant fashion.
Recently, two Congressional leaders were assaulted by evil people. Congressman Maxwell Frost was assaulted by a man at the Sundance Festival. This male said that Trump was going to deport him (which is a lie), and he punched him in the face. He was heard screaming racist remarks as he drunkenly ran off. He was arrested. Frost is okay. Still, MAGA trolls on X mocked Frost being assaulted. That makes me aware that MAGA is a demonic cult, not a legitimate political movement. MAGA is based on hate and bigotry, not democracy and justice. There is no excuse for anyone to be unjustly assaulted, period. Another incident of assault occurred when Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was sprayed with an unknown liquid by a wicked male. This male was placed into custody. This comes when Omar was speaking to a crowd of his constituents about desiring either Noem to resign or be impeached because of Noem's reckless actions involving ICE and immigration matters. Recently, ICE wanted to go inside an Ecuadorian embassy building, which is totally illegal unless given permission by Ecuador. So, we have times in 2026 when tyranny is real, and we must oppose tyranny with all peaceful, legitimate means possible.

Late January 2026 News.
In our lives, we must defend the right to protest, the right of free speech, and the right of the people to be free from unjust occupation. People in Minneapolis and nationwide desire an end to the excessive actions of ICE. The habitual lying of the Trump administration is overt and outrageous. There is no need for Alex Pretti and Renee Good to be killed when alternatives can be enacted to make sure that both human beings would be alive today. More people have expressed outrage over the situation of DHS/ICE occupation of our American cities. Many brave people have protested and made their voices known. As people know, the Trump regime doesn't even desire an independent investigation of ICE killings done by the state and local government. They have called ICE agents completely innocent without any adjudication. The Trump team desire any ICE agent to have total legal immunity to carte blanche do anything that they desire with massive aggression. Over 100,000 people have protested across Minnesota against the actions of ICE in recent days. Alex acted bravery to help a woman, and he lost his life. Trump, Vance, Miller, Noem, Bovino, and Kash Patel are complicit in this crisis. Yes, the Second Amendment should be protected among American citizens regardless of what Patel says.
It is important to respect and honor unsung legends and icons involving athletics. One human being was Alice Coachman. She was a black woman of the South who made lifelong contributions to humanity. Albany, Georgia, was her birthplace and the place where she passed away, too. She helped to break down barriers as the first black woman of any nation to win an Olympic gold medal in 1948 (in the city of London). She opposed racism and discrimination throughout her life. Back then, she had to pick cotton, supply corn to local mills, and pick plums plus pecans to sell them. She did this to provide for her family when she was a teenager. She has been blessed with great athleticism. She loved to run track and field races and the long jump. She gave human beings inspiration.
She said to people that, "when the going gets tough and you feel like throwing your hands in the air, listen to that voice that tell you ‘Keep going. Hang in there.’...Guts and determination will pull you through.” She loved to teach people about track and field. In fact, she formed the Alice Coachman Track and Field Foundation to help support younger athletes and provide assistance to retired Olympic veterans. By the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia, she was honored as one of the 100 greatest Olympians in history. She was later inducted into nine different halls of fame, including the National Track and Field Hall of Fame in 1975 and the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame in 2004. Her peers during the 1940s were Joe Louis, Don Barksdale, Kenny Washington, Jackie Robinson, Tidye Pickett, Louise Stokes, Babe Didrikson Zaharias, Ora Washington, Matilda and Margaret Peters, etc. Alice Coachman paved the way for many athletes now, including Simone Biles, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, Masai Russell, and Tara Davis-Woodhall, and other icons.
We should express outrage about how this regime allowed masked, unidentified agents to harass Americans, to abuse Americans, and to murder Americans without just cause. There must be independent investigations of these tragedies. Likewise, we warned people that this tyrant would justify these evils if they voted for him. As black people, we know about tyranny firsthand. Our ancestors and our people today suffer racism, discrimination, scapegoating, and other injustices every day. Some positive news is that people across the political spectrum, people of every color and background, etc., have opposed the ICE/DHS occupation and oppression of American citizenry. This is not news. Our black ancestors were displaced of their lands and were victims of pogroms in the 1800s and 1900s. Thousands of Japanese Americans were forcibly placed into internment camps by a racist government. The actions of ICE and the DHS have nothing to do with public safety. It has to do with intimidation, lies, xenophobia, racism, authoritarianism, and seeking to bash true democratic rights. According to one judge, ICE violated dozens of court orders. Regardless of what anyone says, we have the right to protest, we have the right to use our free speech rights, and we have the right to stand up for the human dignity of our neighbors.
MAGA, Hoteps, and many manosphere extremists are united in their hatred of immigration. The truth is that immigrants have benefited society by contributing to economic and cultural growth. Immigrants have been demonized as criminals who want to take our jobs. The truth is that crime is way down in America. Some cities have record lows in violent crime, but we have millions of immigrants living in America now. The crime rate is down because we have used interventions, we have invested in youth job training programs, we have used other programs that address crime and poverty. Immigrants (regardless of status) are 60% less likely to be incarcerated than U.S. born citizens. Border cities are among America's safest cities. Xenophobes said that immigrants hard the U.S. economy, want free stuff, and harm the job market. The major reason immigrants come to America to have a better life. More immigrants as workers and consumers will grow America's economy by $7 trillion and reduce the deficit with a $1 trillion revenue. Many immigrants pay tons of taxes too. Even undocumented immigrants pay taxes and aren't allowed to have most federal government benefits. Xenophobes claim immigrants will take our jobs, but that isn't the case. Many immigrants will help pay for Social Security and give Americans a more youthful population.

The ICE Occupation of Minneapolis and Other News.
There are new tensions in Minneapolis after one man was killed by federal agents. The DHS promoted the lie that the man banished a gun. The truth is that the man was protecting one woman, this man was jumped by federal agents, one federal agent yelled gun, and one agent killed the man. I saw television footage of federal agents using dangerous gas against innocent protesters, I have seen one agent arresting a black man on the ground, and I have seen other footage of a CNN reporter coughing because of the dangerous gas agents have done. Trump is a liar once again by saying that the Mayor of Minneapolis is provoking insurrection. The AFGE said that Alex J. Pretti was the man killed in the incident. AFGE is a powerful union. The situation in Minneapolis is microcosm of the Trump agenda. That agenda is filled with imperialism, xenophobia, authoritarian occupation of our cities and towns, and a hostility towards the First Amendment and all God given rights. What is worse than Trump's agenda are 2 types of people. One type of people are Trump supporters who still believe in Trumpism. They are deceived who don't care about democratic rights. The other group of people are those who embrace apathy because of their xenophobic bigotry, their radical lack of empathy for the suffering, and their hatred of truth. When one group of people are oppressed, then we are all oppressed. If ICE were never in Minneapolis terrorizing and harassing people, Alex and Renee would be alive today. We reject dehumanizing of our neighbors by masked, non-identified agents. We reject the views of that tyrant in the White House.
The myth is that this stuff in Minneapolis can't happen where we live. It has happened in Chicago, Los Angeles, and other places of America. Evil is evil. It's our responsibility as humans being to reject evil and promote goodness in our society. There is no just cause for ICE and the DHS to execute such an excessive occupation of Minneapolis. Many ICE agents have been ill trained and sprayed even innocent protesters in the vicinity. Kristi Noem has doubled down to promote the lie that the ICU nurse banished a weapon to the federal agents. We see this in television footage. There is no excuse for Trump to allow ICE to detain American citizens unjustly. There is no excuse for federal agents to utilize military level gas against journalists and innocent protestors. Morality is absent in the MAGA cult. Therefore, we must be clear to solve problems peacefully, never take the bait, and be honest about our opposition to this authoritarian fascism present in American society.
The truth is out in Minneapolis now. We have clear evidence that the nurse was murdered in cold blood. This murder took place just blocks from where Renee Nicole Good was killed more than two weeks ago. The video showed the federal agents firing their guns repeatedly into the victim as he was held on the ground. The agents were not under threat and the man was trying to protect the life of a woman. The Trump regime has lied and called Good and Alex Pretti domestic terorists. One Border Patrol commander even argued that the Second Amendment didn't apply to Pretti which is a lie as all American citizens have 2nd Amendment rights. Alex Pretti was an ICU nurse who helped family, friends, and veterans. The DHS account of the shooting contradicts the video evidence. The video appears to show an agent taking the gun before the Minneapolis shooting. Minnesota authorities are planning more legal action to try to stop the ICE and DHS occupation of Minneapolis. Many people want Democrats to promote the abolishment of ICE and cutting funding that deals with investing with ICE. The federal government has redistricted Minnesota's state and local governments from using independent investigation of the ICE killings.
There is one racist and offensive comment made by a moderate Democrat who is Congressman Seth Moulton (he is the same hypocrite criticizing the xenophobe Stephen Miller, but he is one of 75 Democrats who voted for more funding for ICE). He said that what is happening today in Minneapolis today is worse than the state-sponsored terrorism Black Americans faced during the civil rights movement. Not only is that comment a lie and racist. It's a slap in the face to the heroes who fought in the Civil Rights Movement in whitewashing history. The truth is that during the 20th century, black churches were regularly bombed nationwide (not just in the South), black people were lynched, police used dogs and water hoses on peaceful protesters, and many civil rights leaders were murdered by racists. Therefore, what is happening in Minneapolis is unjust, but it is not equivalent to what happened to the Civil Rights Movement era from 1900 to 1968. As African Americans, we have told the world that this is the fruit of moderates. Moderates compromise and promote deception to promote the status quo not freedom and justice (as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. accurately written in his A Letter from A Birmingham Jail letter). Seth Moulton is wrong and should be ashamed of himself. There is absolutely no excuse to minimize, whitewash, or ignore the history of the black freedom struggle. Keith Porter was a black man who was killed by an ICE agent too. We should acknowledge the unjust ICE occupation of Minneapolis without ignoring the sacrifice of black people during the Civil Rights Movement too.
It has been 10 years since the shocking passing away of the iconic musician Prince. He was born in the Midwest in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His parents were jazz singer Mattie Della and pianist and songwriter John Lewis Nelson. His family included many people who were gifted in music. His sister is Tyla Evene Nelson (who lived from 1960 to 2024). Prince had many half-brothers and half-sisters. Prince was a groundbreaking artist who could play multiple instruments (like the guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and various percussion instruments) and sang across a variety of genres, from rock and R&B to funk. Numerous human beings desire to compare Michael Jackson and Prince. They had a competitive musical rivalry with each other, but both artists were equals. You don't have to acknowledge the greatness of one by downgrading the greatness of another. Prince so loved the art of music that he fully understood about the concepts of chords, other musical notes, instruments, and various aspects of musical beats, including melodies. As a prominent musical genius, Prince loved to show out by playing the guitar and a sort of instruments in real life. He came out into the mainstream musical industry by the 1970s. He grew to be an illustrious musician by the 1980s. By the 1990s, Prince stood up for any artist to have ownership of their own masters, know their worth, and oppose corporate exploitation of human beings in the industry. From the albums of Purple Rain to Sign o' the Times, he has shown us excellent without compromising. Prince was married twice and dated the singer and actress Nonya Gaye (who has gorgeous cheekbones and skin. Nonya Gaye is a great singer in her own right, too. She is the daughter of the late Marvin Gaye). By the 21st century, Prince sang and spoke about conscious issues (with songs like Black Sweat) like the Iraq War, chemtrails, and about the greatness of Blackness. He passed away on April 21, 2016, when I was in my early 30s. I remember that day just like yesterday being a total shock in my eyes. The city of Minneapolis (which gave a new funky sound to the world) and people globally mourned his passing and celebrated his contributions to the human race. Prince gave creativity and power to men and women to express themselves beyond a conformist fashion, to be strong to stand up for your rights, and to be confidence in your own God given ability to shine your light to the world.
For decades, one man personified strength, courage, and a gift of oratory in the forms of speeches and spoken word poetry (as a prelude to modern-day hip-hop music). He was Muhammad Ali. From being born in the South at Louisville, Kentucky, to the West Coast of America, he made a name for himself. Muhammad Ali had confidence, a love of his Blackness, athleticism, charisma, a social consciousness, and a willingness to overcome many issues. A child took his bike when he was a child, and another adult police officer taught him how to use boxing. Muhammad Ali was a natural boxer as he won many amateur matches, and he won gold in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy. Coming back home, Muhammad Ali still experienced racial discrimination and exploitation. So, he wanted that reality to change. Muhammad Ali worked hard with his coach D'Angelo Dundee and his friend Drew Bundini Brown (who worked with Sugar Ray Robinson, who was the greatest boxer in human history) to grow his career to change history forever. Ali won many matches and defeated Sonny Liston on February 25, 1964, at Miami Beach, Florida. This conclusion shocked Ali's skeptics (during that time, Liston was seen as unbeatable), but Ali used footwork, speed, power, and skill to defeat Sonny Liston. Afterward, Muhammad Ali was the heavyweight champion of the world, saying that "I Am the Greatest." That proclamation gave confidence to especially younger black people to view greatness as a virtue psychologically. Then, he publicly announced that he was a member of the Nation of Islam, an organization with similarities and differences to Orthodox Islam. Muhammad Ali opposed the Vietnam War and refused to be drafted by the United States to be in the draft in 1967. Ali felt that the Vietnam War was an unjust war (like his friend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had criticized the Vietnam War too) and a war of convenience, not liberation. Muhammad Ali said that the Vietnamese people never arrested us, lynched us, black people, never raped or tortured black Americans. Ali said famously that the Vietnamese never called him the n word. The Vietnam War took resources that would be better used to build up America domestically. Ali was arrested and charged with federal charges of refusing to submit to the draft. It would take the Supreme Court to drop the charges. He fought in the 1970s to defeat Joe Frazier, George Forman (in Africa), Leon Spinks, and Ringo Bonavena in their primes. He was not a perfect man as he has done adultery (I don't agree with adultery at all), but he stayed with his final wife. He loved all of his children unconditionally. Muhammad Ali also supported social causes like being against poverty, fighting racism, solving foreign policy crisis, and standing up for justice.
It has been a century since Black History Month celebrations have commenced. Over the course of a century, massive developments have existed in the world. We sent from the Roaring Twenties to the 21st century icons like Allyson Flex, Yolandia Renee King, Gabby Douglas, Ruth Simmons, Carla Hayden, Edward Enniful, Simone Biles, and Usain Bolt. We went from highways not being modernized to roads formed to drone aircraft delivering packages worldwide. Black history is not monolithic or static. It encompasses science and music. It deals with education and dance. It can also focus on human resiliency and engineering as well. Black history can be close to home with our scrapbooks, our stories involving our families, our humor, and living our lives daily in the world. We are Black History. Black History Month is one part of the year when we honor our heritage, our creativity, and our authentic identity as black human beings. For example, Gordon Parks showed art and groundbreaking film culture as a photographer and film director. Harriet Tubman not only freed slaves, but she was a person who led a battle during the American Civil War during in the Combahee raid. Rosa Parks, Claudette Clovin, Dr. King, Malcolm X, and other heroic black people didn't just talk about black freedom. They took active steps in public to advocate and defend the right of black people (from protesting, writing literature, using civil disobedience, creating black institutions, and forming other strategies to stand up for our liberation) to be free and independent in the Universe. The creator of Black History Month was Carter G. Woodson. He and the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History (ASNLH) helped to handle Black History Month. The celebration lasted for one week from the 1920s until 1970. The celebration was a full month in 1970. This goal was planned since 1969. For over one century, two truths abide forever. One is that Black History Month is to be celebrated yearly, not just in one month. Another truth is that Black History Month is about celebrating black history, black culture, and globally beyond just one country like America.
Bravery represents her legacy and cultural ethos. No one can question her commitment to human justice. Anna Julia Cooper was from the South and wrote literature that both racial equality and gender equality. Her life has been filled with adventure and overcoming challenges. That is self-evident by the characteristics of her life story. She was born a slave, but she never remained a slave. She didn't just earn a Bachelor's degree of Arts in 1884. She earned a master's degree in mathematics in 1879, and her doctorate degree came about at the University of Paris. She was the 4th African American woman to earn a Ph.D. She loved her children, Lula Love Lawson and John Love. Cooper had an expansive view of the world. For example, she promoted black feminism (that means equality and justice for black women is paramount to improve her education in general), she supported Pan-Africanism, she fought anti-black lynching (along with other pro-black freedom activists like Ida B. Wells, Frederick Douglass, and lucy Ellen Moten). Cooper later lived in Washington, D.C, where she lived to be 105 years old. In that span of time, she had written glorious literature, fought for legitimate social change, and followed the august precept that a potent education is a key method in improving the intellectual, cultural, and other aspects of societal growth.
Scientology is one of the most mysterious and controversial organizations in human history. It was created by L. Ron Hubbard. To be honest, Hubbard was a fraud. Not only was he accused by the United States government of financial allegations. He was convicted by the French government of fraud. L. Ron Hubbard was a notorious racist who later claimed to promote equality. Yet, he had secret writings that expressed hatred against black people, Asian people, etc. He promoted apartheid in South Africa during the 1960s. Hubbard was a habitual liar who made exaggerated and false claims about himself for decades. He was a science fiction writer who created a recent religion. Hubbard was also a fan of the sexist, racist, libertarian, and blatant occultist Aleister Crowley. For the past few years, many researchers have found out of the terminology of Scientology from OT level to the thetans. Celebrities like Tom Cruise and Tom Travolta defend Scientology, but ex-members like famous actress Leah Remini (who was on the shows of Head of the Class in 1988, Who's the Boss in 1989, and The King of Queens from 1998 to 2007) have used research to refute Scientology as well. Scientology remains controversial to this day in 2026. I consider Scientology to be a cult in my opinion, because it prevents members from telling their families and loved ones about their most cherished secrets, they have doctrines that are blatantly false, and they incorporate infallible loyalty to their leaders. Also, some members of Scientology have harassed whistleblowers. We must be clear to not violate religious liberty rights. So, Scientology has the right to exist, but we must call out things are fundamentally false in our First Amendment free speech rights too.
Alice Coachman was born on November 9, 1923, in Albany, Georgia. She was the fifth child of Fred and Evelyn Coachman's ten children. Coachman was unable to access athletic training facilities or participate in organized sports because of her skin color. Back then, there was massive widespread opposition to girls and women being involved in sports activities. Still, she rose. Coachman trained to use what was available to her. She ran shoeless along the dirt roads near her home. She used homemade equipment to practice her jumping. Her 5th-grade teacher, Cora Bailey (when Coachman was at Monroe Street Elementary School), and her aunt, Carrie Spry, encouraged Coachman to pursue her dreams. There were reservations from her parents. Upon enrolling at Madison High School in 1938, she joined the track team, working with Harry E. Lash to develop her skill as an athlete. Within a year she drew the attention of the Tuskegee Institute in Tuskegee, Alabama. In 1939 she joined the Tuskegee Preparatory School at the age of 16 after being offered a scholarship. The scholarship required her to work while studying and training, which included cleaning and maintaining sports facilities as well as mending uniforms.
Coachman went on to graduate with a degree in dressmaking from the Tuskegee Institute in 1946. The following year, she continued her studies at Albany State College, receiving a B.S. in Home Economics with a minor in science in 1949. She became a teacher and track-and-field instructor. Her athletic career grew rapidly. Prior to arriving at the Tuskegee Preparatory School, Coachman competed in the Amateur Athletic Union's (AAU) Women's National Championships breaking the college and National high jump records while competing barefoot. Her unusual jumping style was a combination of straight jumping and western roll techniques.
Coachman dominated the AAU outdoor high jump championship from 1939 through 1948, winning ten national championships in a row. Her success earned her the nickname the "Tuskegee Flash." In addition to her high jump accomplishments, she won national championships in the 50-meter dash, the 100-meter dash and with the 400-meter relay team as a student at the Tuskegee Institute. She won 26 national championships during her nine years of competition, more than any other woman with the exception of her Polish-American rival Stella Walsh. During the same period, Coachman won three conference championships playing as a guard on the Tuskegee women's basketball team. Despite being in her prime, Coachman was unable to compete in the 1940 and 1944 Olympic Games as they were canceled because of World War II. In the opinion of sportswriter Eric Williams, "Had she competed in those canceled Olympics, we would probably be talking about her as the No. 1 female athlete of all time."
Coachman's first opportunity to compete on a global stage was during the 1948 Olympic Games in London. She qualified for the US Olympic team with a high jump of 5 feet 4 inches (1.63 m) breaking the previous 16-year-old record by 3⁄4 in (19 mm). In the high jump finals of the 1948 Summer Olympics, Coachman leaped 1.68 m (5 ft 6 in) on her first try. Her nearest rival, Great Britain's Dorothy Tyler, matched Coachman's jump, but only on her second try. Coachman was the only American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in athletics in 1948. Her medal was presented by King George VI.
Upon her return to the United States after the Olympics, Coachman had become a celebrity. Soon after meeting President Harry Truman and former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, she was honored with parades from Atlanta to Albany and was thrown a party by Count Basie. In 1952, she became the first African-American woman to endorse an international product when she was signed as a spokesperson by the Coca-Cola Company, which featured her prominently on billboards alongside 1936 Olympic winner Jesse Owens. In her hometown, Alice Avenue, and Coachman Elementary School were named in her honor. Even with her success, there was sexism. So, new coverage about Coachman as an athlete varied. The coverage of women compared to men was already stark in contrast, with men typically receiving full spreads with photos, while female athletes got short articles with no pictures. In 1942, she was mentioned in the Chicago Tribune in an article titled "Tuskegee Wins 6th Women's AAU Title in Track" and was reported on by the Boston Globe in an article titled "Tuskegee Girl Eclipses Stella in Title Meet". However, when the New York Times wrapped up reporting for the Olympics where she was the only American woman to win gold in track and field, the first African American to win a gold medal, and became a new Olympic record holder, they only wrote one sentence. When Coachman became a triple winner at the AAU Women's Nationals in 1945, beating Walsh, the Times only reported on Walsh's single win, ignoring Coachman's three victories. Despite this, she was praised in an interview with African-American reporter Sam Lacy by Walsh, who said Coachman was "the toughest opponent [she] had ever met" and the "finest runner [she] ever raced against."
Coachman's athletic career ended when she was 24. She dedicated the rest of her life to education and to the Job Corps. Coachman died in Albany, Georgia on July 14, 2014, of cardiac arrest after suffering through respiratory problems. She had a stroke a few months prior for which she received treatment from a nursing home. She had two children during her first marriage to N. F. Davis, which ended in divorce. Her second husband, Frank Davis, preceded her in death.

End of the Week Updates.
Jack Smith, the former special prosecutor, testified to Congress. He defended his decision to prosecute Trump, because there was more than sufficient evidence that presented the truth that Trump engaged in criminal activity that tried to ruin our democracy as we know it. Many GOP members who interviewed him shown hatred of him, because they have an unconditional political allegiance to the doctrines and political views of Donald Trump. Jack Smith indicted Trump twice. In his testimony, Jack Smith explicitly commented that Trump caused the January 6, 2021, insurrection and attack on the Capitol. Smith said that no one should be above the law in this nation and the law required that Trump must be held into account. Trump has been complicit in trying to use efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Trump wants to shut down television hosts who disagree with him which is against the rule of law. Trump used evil language to called Jack Smith a "deranged animal." The lie from the GOP is that Biden told Jack Smith to execute the investigation of Trump which isn't the case. Jack Smith acted independently. Trump wants Smith to be prosecuted which is ludicrous. The GOP dominated House Judiciary Committee is trying to whitewash the heinous anti-democratic actions of Trump, but Jack Smith has made it clear that no one is above accountability is that person committed criminal wrongdoing.
We have real issues in the world. Polls show that voters are unhappy with Trump after one year that he has been in office. I am not shocked at the policies that Trump enacted, because he made it clear that he wanted a reactionary agenda of privatizing health care, seeking to annex Greenland, and having hatred of the separation of powers in the 3 co-equal branches of government. One poll mention that 71 percent of all Americans believe that America is out of control. In the span of one year of Trump's 2nd term, he doubled his family's net worth, billionaires got $1.5 trillion richer, his 20 wealthiest political donors got $380 billion richer. Now, 40 percent of all Americans live paycheck to paycheck, which is a large number of Americans. Now, Trump wants to steal the oil in Venezuela to benefit corporate interests. This goes on while food prices are up, utilities are up, healthcare prices are up, and housing prices are up. Trump said the lie that affordability is a hoax when tons of people struggle to rent an apartment and pay mortgages involving a home.
Trump gave a bizarre speech at Davos, Switzerland. Trump said that sometimes you need a dictator. He also issues threats to NATO allies that increases security concerns. Trump promoted the lie that the 2020 election was stolen, and his rhetoric about seeking Greenland in an imperialistic fashion is breaking up ties to Canada and to nations of Europe. This comes after the Oxfam report shows billionaire wealth surging in 2025. Many billionaires are meeting at the World Economic Forum in Davos. We have a massive economic, social, and geopolitical crisis in the world. The United States and many European powers disagree with the Greenland issue. America allowed ICE to occupy Minneapolis as a means for Trump to promote an authoritarian society. The Oxfam report once again has documented a massive inequality economically in the world that are destroying democratic forms of government. In 2025, global billionaire wealth grew at three times the rate of the previous five years. This wealth is a record of $18.3 trillion, an 81 percent increase since 2020. The number of billionaires has grown more than 3,000 people for the first time in human history.
Trump hypocritically claims to be cracking down on fraud in Minnesota, but he has pardoned actual fraudsters. Over half of his 88 individual pardons have been for white-collar crimes, including money laundering, bank fraud, and wire fraud. With the Davos meeting, people have every right to denounce the policies of Trump. Davos is an annual conference for the super-rich and influential people of the oligarchy and the establishment. Right now, more than 3,000 ICE and Border Patrol agents (with the possibility of them being joined by 1,500 active-duty military) patrol Minneapolis, hundreds of global CEOs, including prime ministers plus presidents, gather in Davos, Switzerland. This meeting is part of the World Economic Forum, where some of the richest capitalists on Earth discuss their policies. Trump is an extremist by withdrawing from climate treaties, invading Venezuela and abducting Nicolas Maduro, upending trade rules, and desiring to annex Greenland. Trump has increased tariffs on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and Finland because they support Denmark's refusal to allow America to annex Greenland. Trump wants to sue JPMorgan. Trump is a person who is a clear and present danger to America and the world.
Yesterday was the Birthday of Brother DJ Jazzy Jeff, and he is now 61 years old. He is a famous American DJ, music producer, and actor. He was born up North in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was raised in the area with a reputation and a following as a local school and block party DJ. He was 10 years old when he first became interested in being a DJ. He took on the stage name DJ Jazzy Jeff. He worked with Will Smith in the duo of DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. The group received the first Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance in 1989 for the song Parents Just Don't Understand. Their most successful single was Summertime in 1991 which earned the group their 2nd Grammy and peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. He acted in the television show of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He played the character Jazz, who was Smith's best friend on the show. They used a handshake on the show, and Jazz's character was physically ejected from the house by the character of Uncle Phil, played by James Avery. On the show jazz, Jazz had a crush on Hillary Banks (played by Karyn Parsons). Later, Jazzy Jeff went on to be a great R&B soul and neo soul record producer and actor. He has his own A Touch of Jazz production company in his native Philadelphia. He worked with Philly legends and other legends like Eirc Roberson, Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild, The Roots, Raheem DeVaughn, Darius Rucker, Talib Kweli, Floetry, Rhymefest, etc. He produced songs for Will Smith too. He performed with Smith at the Live 8 concert in Philadelphia on July 2, 2005. He released his album of The Return of the Magnificent with many collaborations from CL Smooth to Method Man and Pos from De La Soul. In 2025, DJ Jazzy Jeff was picked as one of the remixers of the 2026 FIFA World Cup theme representing Philadelphia. He is married to Lynette C. Jackson since July 31, 2010, in Jamaica. He has four children.
I wish Brother DJ Jazzy Jeff a Great Birthday.

Signs of the Time.
ICE using more disgraceful tactics against the people of Minnesota is clear for everyone to witness. One man who was living in Minneapolis was kidnapped by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and died on January 14 at the Camp East Montana concentration camp in El Paso, Texas. Many people have died in the custody of ICE. The killing of Renee Nicole Good was a turning point in our history. Good was driving away, and one ICE agent shot her multiple times when she was no threat to the ICE officer. One situation when ICE agents forcibly removed an elderly U.S. citizen who is only wearing a blanket and underclothes from his home. This person was released later that day. His family said that he was wrongly targeted and is exploring legal action. This action is wicked and unjust. The victim's name is ChongLy Thao. According to Thao, he was not given an explanation or an apology. The DHS lied, and Thao's family said that Thao doesn't live with sexual offenders. There is another story of a person being racially profiling, having legal documents to work (he had every federal right to work in St. Paul), and this person faces possible deportation. Trump, Noem, and others embrace the demonic evil of xenophobia, but the Golden Rule is superior to the MAGA movement.
We know that air pollution from industrial facilities is a major source of bad health for people, including the poor and working-class people. We know about Cancer Alley along the lower Mississippi River. That location is one of the highest concentrations of industrial facilities and airborne pollution in America. The residents have overall disease and birth defect rates up to seven times the U.S. national average. Many communities in America have massive industrial pollution. Now, the Trump administration wants the EPA, or the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to change its policy as it deals with the control of air pollution. A New York Times review of internal EPA emails found that the EPA is considering not include pollutants of fine particulate matter and ozone as part of industrial air pollution effects on humans. This is done to cause oil companies to benefit. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin harbors hatred of environmental regulation. The EPA has weakened the regulation of the extraction and use of carbon-rich fossil fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas), which are major sources of air pollution. Trump's team has targeted wind and solar farms, which are now less expensive than fossil fuels. Greenhouse gas emissions rose by 2.5 percent in 2025, according to Rhodium Group. The EPA ended publishing dates on greenhouse gas emissions. These actions are attacks on humanity and the environment in general.
Two Army Battalions are on standby for possible Minnesota deployment. The situation in Minnesota has nothing to do with immigrants, all Americans, or public safety. It has to do with a male who wants control, authoritarianism, intimidation, racism, and xenophobia to reign in American society. ICE agents have been caught on video tape using tear gas near a 6-year-old baby, assaulting innocent U.S. citizens, racially profiling innocent people, and detaining U.S. citizens. The Trump administration has demonized protesters who want to exercise their free speech rights. This is not new. ICE has done similar cruel, illegal behavior in Los Angeles, Chicago, and all over the world. Many ICE agents have been documented to drag people out of vehicles, and we have Trump calling Somalis "garbage" in a racist fashion. Even indigenous people have been detained in Minnesota. The federal government has created the problem. The massive surge of ICE has caused schools to close, people living in fear, and lives harmed.
There are stories of Native Americans being detained by ICE in Minnesota. In recent times, resources have been stripped by Native Americans involving mental health, health care, and other vital services. The Trump administration has cut Medicaid from its legislation. Thousands of Native Americans have been cut from the Native American health service. Trump has a goal in trying to dominate Minneapolis with federal troops, and I reject that agenda completely. We are clear that speaking out against evil is important along with helping our neighbors. On this day, we are reminded about what we should do in our daily lives. We reject gossip, because it is unnecessary and causes a whole of problems in the world from misunderstanding to hatred. We believe in forgiveness. That means that even if we suffer an injustice, we forgive to move forward with our lives. Some folks hold grudges for decades, and those grudges only block blessings and waste time on this Earth that could be used for establishing things more constructive in our lives.

Commentaries on Dr. Martin Luther King's Holiday in 2026.
On this sacred holiday, we celebrate the life and legacy of the late Brother Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King was an African American Southerner and Baptist clergyman who changed the whole world in fundamentally revolutionary ways. As time has gone on, many people have learned more information about the life and political plus the philosophical views of Dr. King. He had an extensive family. His father was a preacher, and his grandfather was a preacher. His parents were Martin Luther King Sr. and Alberta Williams King. From his childhood, Dr. King possessed a gift of great oratory ability. Dr. King's God-given gift was expressed to the maximum effect when he eloquently utilized words and speeches to appeal to a diversity of people, from university administrators to the poorest of Americans. He worked hard to promote the doctrines of peace, love, and nonviolence in his daily life. He wanted human beings to live out the creed of justice and equality for all. Also, one of the tactics that he utilized in seeking justice was civil disobedience (which was practiced by Thoreau and Gandhi). Back in the day, most Americans didn't know about the contradictions and racism shown by Gandhi. Now, we do. His father, Martin Luther King Sr. was a great preacher of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. His father was a courageous man who stood up against racism and wanted to be addressed as Sir not as "boy." Dr. King and his two siblings read the Bible as instructed by their father when they were children. Dr. King loved his grandmother, Jennie. Dr. King started school in September 1935. In 1936, his father, Martin Luther King Sr., led hundreds of African Americans in a civil rights march to the city of Hall in Atlanta to protest voting rights discrimination. Dr. King said that Martin Sr. was a real father to him. Dr. King memorized hymns and Bible verses by the time he was 5 years old. He loved opera and played the piano. Dr. King had a large vocabulary, because as a child, he read dictionaries. When he was 13, Dr. King was 13 and the youngest assistant manager of a newspaper delivery station for the Atlanta Journal. He was in Booker T. Washington High School with a B-plus average. Dr. King studied history, English, and sociology. His sister Christine helped him with spelling, and Dr. King helped her sister with math.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had a brother named A.D. King and a sister who was Christine King Farris. Dr. King won an oratory competition (in Georgia. After the competition, he was on the bus and felt angry. The reason is because of the racism that he experienced on that bus. He said that was the angriest that he felt in his life). Subsequently, he felt inspired to stand up to end the brutal system of Jim Crow apartheid. He played basketball, he was an intellectual, and he was great at playing pool, too. He went into college when he was 15 years old and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Morehouse College (in 1948 when he was 19 years old), his BDiv from Crozer Theological Seminary (or the Bachelor of Divinity in 1951), and his PhD from Boston University. By the late 1940's, he worked in Connecticut and saw integration for the first time in his life. At Morehouse, he played freshman football. His spiritual mentor, Benjamin Mays, who was a Baptist minister, inspired Dr. King to go into the ministry when he was 18 years old. Minister Benjamin Mays was a well-known fighter for civil rights and human freedom.
Crozier Theological Seminary is located up North in Upland, Pennsylvania, and Dr. King took many classes at the University of Pennsylvania (in Philadelphia). Dr. King learned philosophy from Penn's first African American professor, William Fontaine, and Elizabeth F. Flower. He studied the social gospel from Walter Rauschenbusch. The social gospel doctrine is the belief that believers in God must merge social causes with the Gospel in order to change society for the better. The truth is more nuanced. That means that we should fight for legitimate social causes to improve society, but the Gospel should not be minimized (as the Bible states, man shall not live by bread alone but by the words that come from God). Dr. King loved to merge concepts into one in a form of Hegelian synthesis. Dr. King criticized both capitalism and communism in his speeches and literature. He married Coretta Scott King, who was his equal and was just as committed to social justice as he was. Coretta Scott King was a great singer. The couple married on June 18, 1953, on the lawn of her parents' house, in Heiberger, Alabama. Coretta Scott and Dr. King had four children who are Yolanda King, Martin Luther King III, Dexter Scott King, and Bernice King. The Mary's Cafe sit in showed the power of nonviolent civil disobedience that Dr. King was inspired by.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was the first President of the SCLC, or the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. He and others were involved in the 1955 Montgomery Bus boycott, the Albany Movement in Albany, Georgia, and other movements. Claudette Colvin, Rosa Parks, and other people refused to give up their seats on a city bus. Dr. King was a preacher at The Dexter Avenue Baptist Church. The boycott involved the whole black community of Montgomery using car rides and human beings just walking to resist segregation. The boycott lasted for 385 days, with Edgar Nixon, NAACP members, and other people fighting for change. The Browder v. Gayle case later banned racial segregation on the Montgomery public buses. After the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott, Dr. King was known nationwide as one of the leading voices of the Civil Rights Movement. Dr. King was in the SCLC's 1957 Prayer Pilgrimage for Freedom. It was the first time when Dr. King addressed a national audience. He worked with Stanley Levison and Ella Baker. Dr. King support Kennedy in 1960 after he was freed by RFK when he was placed in jail. Robert Kennedy rejected allowing Hoover to illegal monitor King's telephone line in the fall of 1963. We know about Dr. King's imperfections like adultery. No human except the Messiah is perfect, so we don't condone adultery. Yet, we respect what Dr. King got right during his life. Dr. King denied the physical resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, a literal Hell, and the Virgin Birth. Obviously, I don't agree with Dr. King on those theological issues, but I shall eat the meat and spit out the bones. In other words, I agree with Dr. King on many issues and won't agree with him on other matters. President Kennedy was afraid of the allegation of communist infiltration in the movement. The truth is that there is no evidence that communists infiltrated all aspects of the Civil Rights Movement. Dr. King, in public and in private, condemned communism explicitly, and Dr. King praised democratic socialism. President John F. Kennedy and Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy fought for civil rights, but they rejected civil disobedience being utilized constantly in the streets. I believe that people have every right to use the courts and demonstrations and even civil disobedience to fight for social change. No one can tell the oppressed on the methods of gaining freedom if the oppressed used legitimate means to fight evil. Dr. King had to push hard for the federal government to promote civil rights legislation. Dr. King led marches to promote the right to vote, desegregation, labor rights, and basic human rights along with being against imperialism. That is why Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebrated the independence of the African nation of Ghana. Dr. King supported his book Stride Toward Freedom and survived a stabbing by Izola Curry. In 1961, there was the Albany Movement in Albany, Georgia, to attack segregation. It wasn't that successful as Pritchett, a local police officer, jailed people and used tactics to prevent massive conflict. This was when SNCC (which was created by Ella Baker to promote grassroots organizing in getting solutions without a single hierarchical organization) overtly criticized the SCLC and Dr. King on another level.
The turning point in his life was in 1963 with the Birmingham, Alabama, movement. Birmingham was one of the most segregated cities in America during that time. This nonviolent movement saw crooked police use water hoses and dogs against innocent men, women, and children. This was done by Birmingham Police Department leader Eugene "Bull" Connor. Dr. King was placed in jail during the Birmingham Campaign and wrote his Letter from Birmingham Jail to describe his views. As a political prisoner, Dr. King accurately mentioned the freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor. People must demand for freedom and fight for it in order to get freedom. He mentioned that everything legal is not necessary right as Hitler did many things that were legal, but they weren't morally right. Therefore, Dr. King focused on the distinction between just law and unjust law. He cited the Boston Tea Party as a justification for him to advocate for civil disobedience. The March on Washington existed by August 1963. Many of its organizers were part of the Big Six group of Roy Wilkins (of the NAACP), Whitney Young (of the National Urban League), A. Philip Randolph (of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters), John Lewis (of SNCC), and James Farmer Jr. (of CORE or the Congress of Racial Equality). Bayard Rustin was involved in the creation of the March on Washington too, fulfilling the dream of Randolph decades ago during the days of WWII. President Kennedy once opposed the march outright, but he supported it under certain token conditions. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s 1963 eloquent I Have a Dream speech in Washington, D.C., was not just about the Dream of justice and freedom for all people regardless of race, color, or creed. It was a condemnation of the racist and economically oppressive actions by the government against black Americans. Dr. King's efforts, along with grassroots activism by a diversity of famous and unsung human beings, contributed to the passage of some of the most progressive legislation in American history (including the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the 1965 Voting Rights Act, and the Fair Housing Act of 1968). Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 for his work in the United States of America to fight racial injustice via nonviolent resistance. After four little girls were murdered unjustly for just worshiping God at the 16th Street Baptist Church (on Sunday, September 15, 1963. The little girls' names are Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, and Synthia Wesley), Dr. King gave the eulogy. Dr. King worked in St. Augustine, Florida in 1964 to fight for equality. Dr. King worked with Robert Hayling's movement of armed self-defense in St. Augustine, and he supported Northern activists (plus rabbis) to defend black human rights. Dr. King talked in Biddeford, Maine and in New York City in 1964. He supported the Scripto labor strike in Atlanta by November 1964.
The enemy of freedom and a hypocrite, J. Edgar Hoover, used the FBI to illegally harass Dr. King and other activists via COINTELPRO. Dr. King already knew this, and this used courage to stand up for human rights. In 1965, his work in Selma, Alabama, was victorious in causing federal voting rights legislation to exist via the Voting Rights Act. Dr. King worked with the SCLC, SNCC, and other groups like the DCVL to promote the Selma voting rights movement in December 1964. Malcolm X came to Selma to support freedom, too. Bloody Sunday took place on March 7, 1965, when police officers assaulted peaceful protesters using clubs and tear gas. Footage of police brutality was shown worldwide, and this inspired the world to stand up for voting rights. After the Voting Rights Act was signed in August 1965, something else happened in America. It was the Watts rebellion in Los Angeles, California. It happened because of the racism, poverty, educational issues, housing restrictions, and other problems that existed in the area. People had a breaking point, and Dr. King came over there to promote peace. Yet, Dr. King was booed. This was rare and taboo for black people to publicly boo Dr. King back in 1965. Later, Dr. King wrote and said that black people in the Midwest, the North, and the West Coast has legal rights legislatively but no true economic rights for them to embrace. There was still de facto segregation, and people over in those parts of the country had a legitimate outrage at the slow progress of the freedom movement's results. So, Dr. King wanted a radical program to address the needs of black people in the North, the Midwest and West Coast (not just in the South). Back then, a lot of us from Virginia and the South didn't understand the pain of people in other parts of the nation. In 1966, Dr. King supported Chicago's open housing movement. He moved into North Lawndale to express empathy and support for the poor. Albert Raby of Chicago supported the Chicago Freedom Movement. Dr. King said that the vicious racism in Chicago was worse than the Deep South. Dr. King was hit in the head with a rock by a white racist in the Chicago area. Dr. King played pool with the youth and wanted Chicago gangs to embrace nonviolence. Dr. King allowed his protege Jesse Jackson to form Operation Breadbasket to boycott companies that allowed discrimination against black Americans. 1966 was the year when Kwame Ture promoted the view of Black Power. Black Power is the philosophical view that believed that black people should own and control the economics and politics in their own community to advance self-determination and ultimate black freedom in our daily lives. Many people viewed Black Power in different ways. Many white liberals and moderate black people (even some members of the NAACP, like Roy Wilkins back then) viewed Black Power as racist and "black supremacy." Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had a more nuanced view of Black Power. He agreed with Black Power's advocacy of self-determination and a declaration of independence for black people. He opposed separatism. In 1966, the Black Panther Party for Self Defense was created by Bobby Seale and Huey P. Newton in Oakland, California. The Black Panther Party was a socialist organization that wanted an end to police brutality, racism, imperialism, and economic capitalistic exploitation. They used guns for self defense and cited the law when confronted by the police.
After 1965, Dr. King became more revolutionary by supporting the Poor People's Campaign to combat poverty, fighting against the unjust Vietnam War, and defended Memphis sanitation workers who were denied of basic, fundamental economic rights like a living wage and the right to form a union. Dr. King opposed the Vietnam War for many legitimate reasons. When he saw children burned alive by napalm, then that was enough for King. Dr. King opposed the Vietnam War as early as 1964 and in 1965, but the Johnson administration pressured Dr. King to be quiet on the issue. By the end of 1966 and early 1967, he was silent no more. Dr. King saw the Vietnam War as a colonial war against another oppressed people, to him it was a waste of resources that could be used to rebuild American urban and rural locations, and he called the American government the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today via his April 1967 Riverside Church' Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence speech. LBJ was furious and even Whitney Young nearly fought Dr. King physically over the Vietnam War issue. Whitney Young would later oppose the War when Nixon was President. Dr. King's opposition to the Vietnam War cost him support from the establishment and other people like Billy Graham, LBJ, union leaders, black moderate leaders, and powerful publishers. Yet, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was steadfast in his moral convictions in desiring the unjust Vietnam War to end. Ironically, Kwame Ture and other black revolutionaries praised Dr. King's anti-Vietnam War views. Dr. King made the point to say that you can't claim for us to be nonviolent in America while condoning unjust violence against Vietnamese children. Many American forces and many North Vietnamese forces committed overt war crimes during the Vietnam War. Some liberals like Allard K. Lowenstein, William Sloane Coffin, and Norman Thomas wanted Dr. King to run for President in 1968, but Dr. King refused. At his core, Dr. King was a social activist, a preacher, and an orator, not a politician. Dr. King spoke in anti-war rallies worldwide and was inspired by Vietnamese Buddhist Thich Nhat Hanh to oppose the Vietnam War. In 1967, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. traveled the world in London, in New York City, in Norfolk, Virginia, in California, etc. By the time of the Six Day War between Israel and Egypt, Dr. King gave a complex response. Dr. King said that Israel has the right to exist, but Israel can't be too harsh against Arabic people. Dr. King wanted a Marshall Plan program to rebuild Arabic nations in the Middle East. Dr. King became more progressive and praised democratic socialism.
His final book of Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community?, Dr. King addressed poverty and other social issues inspired by Henry George's research. In that book, Dr. King wrote about political issues, the Black Power movement, and other subjects that are relevant in our generation. Dr. King wanted a guaranteed basic income. The Poor People's Campaign ultimately wasn't successful per se, but it gave people further motivation to fight poverty to this very day. By 1968, Dr. King was focused on the Memphis sanitation strike. After black men were crushed by a garbage truck machine for trying to escape the rain, that was enough. Immediately, black men protested for economic justice in Memphis with signs that read "I AM A MAN." Dr. King spoke in Memphis to give inspiration to the people. One rally ended in violence because of agent provocateurs. Dr. King wanted to fight the injunction in court. He also met A.D. King, Dorothy Cotton, and Kentucky state legislature Georgia Powell, who was a black woman who fought for civil rights and housing rights in Kentucky, like in Frankfurt. He passed away on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee. We know a lot of Dr. King's life, and we are inspired by what he got right to fight for moral improvement, economic justice, racial equality, anti-imperialism, and human liberation in general. He supported Native Americans too.
I was born 15 years after Dr. King's assassination. After 58 years since the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we have seen monumental changes in American society and in the world in general. We witness A.I., the Internet, 3D printing, advanced social media apps, and new inventions that have inspired our eyes. Yet, we have a long way to go after some progress, being almost 6 decades after 1968. For example, human life expectancy is higher now than in 1968, but health care costs are much higher now (with some in the GOP refusing to extend health care subsidies to assist some of the most vulnerable in society). We have seen tons of displays of Black Excellence in 2026, but a tyrant in the White House wants to whitewash black museums' historical displays, used massive ICE agents terrorizing the residents of Minneapolis (plus other cities), end free visiting to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in Washington, D.C., and desiring to illegally annex Greenland. We have more information about the world than at any other time in human history. On the other hand, some people may have information, but they refuse to come into the knowledge of the truth. We still have educational issues, massive economic inequality, militarism, and imperialism in our globe. We exist in massive economic inequality with record profits for the super wealthy and the oligarchy. In 2026, we witness protests in Iran, Venezuela being in political uncertainty, debates on many political topics, and protests against authoritarianism in America plus worldwide. Yet one important point about Dr. King's legacy is that we must not only complain. We must also be part of the solution. It can be protesting, working in charities, going out to help your neighbor without fanfare, educating children, and standing up for legitimate social causes (like environmentalism, fighting gun violence, defending voting rights, rejecting authoritarianism, fighting racial oppression, and loving equality for all people). The battle is not over, but the Dream is real. Victory will be ours in the end.
Rest in Power Brother Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

ICE Terrorism in Minneapolis.
There is a large opposition to ICE's actions in Minnesota. This comes a week after the January 7 murder of Renee Nicole Good by an agent of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The reality is that thousands of federal paramilitary forces are occupying Minneapolis under the director of the president. Governor Tim Walz condemned the actions of ICE by calling such actions a "campaign of organized brutality against the people of Minnesota by our own federal government." Many armed, undertrained, and masked ICE agents are going door to door, ordering people to point out where their neighbors are at. They are pulling people out of their homes indiscriminately, including U.S. citizens, demanding to see their papers. ICE have targeted grocery stores, bus stops, schools, and they are breaking windows. They drag pregnant women down the street. This is not moral, and this is not legal. This is an overt attack against the American people. We have to call this evil out completely. We have the resignation of a half dozen career prosecutors at the U.S. Attorney's office in Minneapolis, because the DOJ called Jonathan Ross the victim and is considering investigating Becca Good for ties to anti-government groups. The Minneapolis City Council president said that he was assaulted by ICE agents, and ICE agents have thrown tear gas in a vehicle with children in it. Trump has also threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act in Minnesota. Many ICE agents are acting like terrorists in Minneapolis. Trump wants Minnesota to have a day of retribution and reckoning. Trump said that he is not bound to any law by his actions except by his "morality." A local pastor was detained and threatened at gunpoint by ICE. Such actions are nationwide.
Trump recently saying that we shouldn't even have an election is pure fascism, wrong, and evil. People have every right to vote in peaceful elections. Anyone defending Trump's statements about elections should feel shame. Trump is not infallible, and Trump is not God. Trump should be critiqued of his policies like every President. Many Trump supporters lie and try to justify his most nonsensical statements as a means to support him. No, we won't support injustice. We won't support a tyrant trying to steal Greenland from Denmark. Even GOP Representative Bacon said that the House could impeach Trump if Trump invades Greenland. People need to know about this information, because if stuff doesn't change, we may be on the brink of WWIII in the 2030s or before. This is stone cold reality. When an authoritarian wants to use ICE to terrorize communities, desire to ban mail in ballots, and use immature antics against dissidents including even a disabled person (when this person mocked a disabled person years ago. He is a coward and sick person to do that), then it represents the necessity to stand up and speak up against tyranny in America. This is our country, and my ancestors built this nation. My black ancestors been here long before 1776 too.

Historic Events in Iran and other News.
The Minnepolis Mayor and the Minnesota Attorney General have a press conference. It has a lawsuit against the DHS, ICE, and the Border Patrol. They condemn ICE targeting churches and other locations that they feel causes harm to the people of Minnesota. The Attorney General said that schools have gone into lockdown and online education has existed after ICE raids. The Minnesota Attorney General said that the actions of ICE have made people afraid to go into stores to buy items. Many ICE agents wear masks on their faces and lack camera phones. Some don't even identify their names. Many ICE has lax qualifications. The DHS, according to the Attorney General, has refused to accept warrants when going into restaurants. It has been documented on how ICE has detained American citizens being held in hours, how they have racially profiled people (which is immoral), and done many unconstitutional actions. This comes after the killing of Renee Nicole Good. The mayor of Minneapolis said that Trump is targeting Minnesota, because the state is run by Democrats. He said that ICE is increasing the financial burdens in the area and small businesses are losing revenue. Mayor Kaholy Her of St. Paul has condemned the federal occupation of St. Paul and the racial profiling done by ICE against human beings. She said that they are straining resources and promoting distrust. She wants to legally fight against this injustice. She said that her state is a state that welcomes refugees, immigrants, and other human beings.
The protests in Iran has increased. The people in Iran has every God given right to protest the Iranian regime. The Iranian regime has killed at least 2,500 people in Iran which is wrong and obviously an injustice. Since 1979, Iran went from the fascistic Shah to a theocratic, authoritarian regime. Both types of regimes have done harm to the individual liberties of the Iranian people. Now, we have a new generation of fearless Iranian protesters who want to make a great change. This is the most massive protests in Iran since the 1979 Iranian Revolution. Trump has threatened military action against Iranian governmental targets after the protest deaths. The Iranian government has executed an Internet blackout. Trump said that Iranian authorities will pay a big price for the killings and wanted people to keep protesting. The paradox is that Trump ran on isolationism and in 2006, Trump's foreign policy is more neo-conservative. Many of the younger Iranians are saying no more and they are desiring democracy. The protests have spread to 180 cities and towns in all 21 provinces. They are protesting about authoritarianism (being controlled by the Ayatollah), the collapse of the Iranian currency, and the high cost of living. At the end of the day, the Iranian protesters are entitled to have their nation of Iran to experience freedom and democracy. That time is precisely now.
Trump wants to fire Lisa Cook of the Federal Reserve, because Trump wants the FED to give him a rubber stamp to do what he wants with the economic markets. He wants to the control the central bank which is illegal as that can harm free markets. Liberals and conservatives even agree that politicians should never have inordinate control over the FED. Many voters have voted over poor economic policies. Because of COVID-19 induced recession, that was one reason out of many on why Biden won the 2020 election. The economy can shape elections in a massively important way. Incumbents readily lose during eras of recessions. Our economy now in 2026 has seen massive economic growth for the super-rich while some in the poor, working class, and middle-class struggle to survive.
Once again, Donald Trump made another racist remark. This person said that landmark 1960s civil rights protections resulted in white people being treated very badly. He is a lying piece of work. The truth is that landmark 1960s civil rights protections was about fighting discrimination, fighting racism, and giving equal rights to all people regardless of color. Trump's remarks have been condemned by Derrick Johnson, the president of the NAACP. Far too often, far right MAGA extremists believe in the lie that promoting civil rights and voting rights is anti-white. That is why Trump is a racist. He denies the necessity to end systems of white racism, because is a supporter of that system. Trump is a notorious racist for saying that Jewish people who didn't vote for him aren't "loyal," calling black people who disagree with him low IQ, calling Mitch McConnell's wife an anti-Asian racist slur, calling Somalians "garbage," saying that an Mexican American judge can't judge an immigration case fairly because of his Mexican heritage, and supporting statues of racist Confederates on public (being taxpayer funded) grounds. Anyone supporting Donald Trump is a someone who is deluded to put it lightly.
Claudette Colvin passed away yesterday on January 13, 2026 at the age of 86 years old. She promoted civil rights in her life. She refused to give up her seat to a white woman on a crowded, segregated bus on March 2, 1955, when she was 15 years old. She, Rosa Parks, and others helped to start the 1955 Montgomery bus boycott. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama and she passed away in Texas. The Browder v. Gayle case challenged bus segregation in the city of Montgomery. It would take until 2021 for Colvin's unjust arrest and adjudication of delinquency was expunged by the district court in the county where the charges against her were brought more than 66 years earlier. He went to New York City in 1958 to find work. She became a nurse's aide in a nursing home in Manhattan. She retired in 2004. She had 2 sons. She has four grandchildren from her son Randy, who is an accountant in Atlanta.
Rest in Power Sister Claudette Colvin.

Early January 2026 Updates on Life.
I have a lot of stories of my interactions with members of the Jehovah Witness. One of my earliest memories of them was when many of them would visit my house every Saturday during the 1990s and early 2000s. If people were alive back then, this was a common occurrence among many Americans. They would try to proselytize me to their religious organization. Members of the Jehovah Witnesses would talk to me about God, spirituality, and sent me their Watchtower magazine to me too. During that time, my mother always told me that the Jehovah Witness was not of God. Fundamentally, she was right as I found out about the truth about its false doctrines in 2001. Many Jehovah Witness people would later meet me in the street, at the laundromat, and at other locations (like in a Wal-Mart parking lot recently in 2025) in trying to convert me to their religion. Their attempts failed, because I don't subscribe to their theology. The JWs have the doctrines like no blood transfusions, no celebrations of holidays (even birthday celebrations are prohibited. They don't even celebrate the Juneteenth holiday), and the denial of the Divinity of the Son of God (JWs deny the Trinity too). I don't adhere to these views at all. There are a lot of former Jehovah Witness individuals on YouTube who woke up and left the organization to proclaim the Gospel to human beings. It is important to use our personal experiences to grow in our lives as human beings in glorying the name of God, not to seek retribution or vengeance against others. We seek truth in a humble fashion with love and a righteous, concrete motivation.
The misconception is that every heresy hunter is evil. We have to stand up for the truth in love. We can't be politically correct for the sake of social acceptance, because not everyone will believe in what you believe in. That is normal. That is part of life. So, we have to expose false doctrines without vindictiveness, without vengeance, without bigotry (as all Jehovah Witnesses should be treated with dignity and respect), and without heated division. Telling the truth in love will get more people on your side. Charles Taze Russell, a false prophet, created the Jehovah Witnesses (in the late 19th century) to advance spiritual deception during these latter days. Many well-meaning people, or every color, are members of Jehovah Witness, but they are deluded to deny the importance of blood transfusion, to deny the divinity of the Son of the living God (Jehovah Witnesses are an anti-Trinitarian group), they subscribe to the notion that only 144,000 people will go to Heaven, and they have a denial of the physical resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (which is a blatant blasphemy against the God of Heaven). The good news is that thousands of people have left Jehovah Witnesses to embrace the Christian faith with true spiritual manna. We ought to be compassionate with our neighbors and be bold to reject false doctrines too. Now, empathy is vital in our walks. On the road of life, the suffering ought to receive joy, patience, and truth. Along with that, the Jehovah Witness group should motivate us to use accurate exegesis, speak with authority, and fundamentally awaken the minds of souls, who genuinely love wisdom.
Professional wrestling has encompassed numerous generations in American culture and global culture in indomitable ways. From selling out arenas worldwide (from MSG in NYC, Las Vegas, and to Berlin) to massive fan clubs growing, professional wrestling history has played a massive role in the development of modern-day culture. Its history has not been a crystal stair to keep it real. There are numerous true stories of sexism, bar fights, racism, deaths, steroids, nepotism (as found in the good ole boy network as accurately pointed out by icon Booker T), economic exploitation, hypocrisy, and other evils found in the professional wrestling atmosphere. Also, there has been positive news in professional wrestling over the course of 40 years. There has been an increase of black people, other people of color, poor people, and women involved in professional wrestling (with a wide array of athleticism, ring performances, charisma, communication skills, etc.) from Bianca Belair, the late Chyna, Trick Williams, Jade Cargill, Naomi, Booker T., Rhea Ripley, The Rock, Charlotte Flair, Asuka, etc. We witness tons of professional wrestlers working in legitimate philanthropy to help those in poverty, suffering illnesses, and diseases, and others suffering massive pain. They have inspired people to achieve their own measure of excellence (whether that will be STEM, education, sports, literature, fashion, entrepreneurship, and economics in general). Excellence isn't just about you. It's about much a person can give and sacrifice to assist their neighbors in their daily lives. Life is like a dream but to be taken seriously. Professional wrestlers put their lives on the line to be pioneers, athletes, performance makers, and story makers. Therefore, we will always honor great professional wrestlers who represent integrity, creativity, and the love of the art of visionary human expression.
As we conclude the chronicle of the 250 years of my nation of the United States of America, we all realize the miraculous birth and existence of America. America was born on July 4, 1776 (when the Declaration of Independence was signed by the Patriots), during the midst of the American Revolutionary War when the 10 colonies fought the imperialistic British Empire (that British Empire was filled with imperialism, slavery, racism, and capitalistic economic exploitation). The colonists (filled with the Sons of Liberty, farmer, soldiers, merchants, and human beings of every color) won the American Revolutionary war via guerilla warfare, help from other nations (like the Dutch, the French, the Spanish, etc.). From the Battles in the states of Massachusetts and New York to the Battle of Yorktown (in Virginia), America won the war filled with resiliency. Many Patriots supported the notorious evil of slavery and others didn't. Filled with both righteous people and wicked people, America's history has been filled with a profound paradox. That paradox is that while heroic Americans advanced legitimate social changes, cultural improvements, inventions, etc., America is also complicit in the sins of racism, slavery, the genocide of Native Americans, colonialism, xenophobia, sexism, etc. The U.S. Constitution caused America to function as a democratic Republic (that means that we don't have a direct democracy in every circumstance, but we do have a direct democracy in electing many House members, Senate members, referendums, etc.). What do we do about this paradox? We have to do 2 main things. One is that we should never sugarcoat American history (as some far right zealots advocate), and other thing that we must do is to fight for justice in America during the present and future. Losing hope is not an option when we desire future generations to live in a world that is better than today. America to me is about the battle between good and evil, the resiliency of humanity, the glory of righteousness that has inspired the world. Never giving up is our percept, and real Americans accept that credo wholeheartedly. Recognizing the existence and importance of Native Americans is key in understanding America as well. They had their lands stolen by thieves and murderers just like my people (i.e. black Americans) were brutalized via slavery, racism, discrimination, lynchings, the peonage system, etc. Whitewashing American history is wrong, but we must also do the following. We must acknowledge the glory among the righteous aspects of America and continue to fight the evils in America to make America improve itself (along with people globally).
During this year of 2026, revelations about the reality of popular culture has increased massively. I remember back in the 2000s, many of us who did this type of research were denounced as "theorists." Yet, we are taken more seriously because of the revelations about many celebrities who made terrible decisions in their lives. Films like 1999's Eyes Wide Shut showed many bizarre, strange rituals that take place in many celebrity functions in real life (from Diddy sanctioned freakoffs, super wealthy masked parties, and to underground sexual and S&M bars). There are many lessons to learn involving the entertainment industry and popular culture. One lesson is found in the results of the Diddy trial, the trial of Harvey Weinstein, and others prove once against that people must live in a life of righteousness, not degeneracy and human exploitation. You have to treat people right. Diddy, Weinstein, and others have unjustly mistreated tons of people for decades. Another lesson in this world in general is to be multifaceted in what you if you desire. For example, it is fine to be a jack of all trades like learning STEM, theology, cuisine, philanthropy, education, and other subjects pertaining to life In that sense, a person will have an open-minded, wide-ranging understanding about how the world functions. As we all realize, there is absolutely no excuse for abuse, adultery, rape, assault against innocent human life, sexual harassment, and other evils plaguing the Earth. We must act like a beacon of light in an imperfect world. Prayer is important, because it calms the soul, has worked to make a difference in society, and teaches discipline plus honest communication skills. For eons, popular culture represents a modern manifestation of the political, social, economic, and spiritual battle between good and evil plainly speaking. We have every right to be on the right side of history.
Alice Coachman was born in the South in Albany, Georgia. She was the fifth child of Fred and Evelyn Coachman's ten children. She faced racial discrimination as she was unable to access athletic training facilities or participate in organized sports because of her skin color. Back then, many people opposed women to be involved in sports which is wrong and ignorant. Yet, this never deterred her from following her dreams. When she was young, she trained in ways that was available to her. She ran shoeless along dirt roads near her home and used homemade equipment to practice her jumping. Coachman attended Monroe Street Elementary School where she was encouraged to be involved in sports by her 5th grade teacher, Cora Bailey and her aunt, Carrie Spry, despite the reservations of her parents. She enrolled at Madison High School in 1938. At her high school, she joined the track team, working with Harry E. Lash to develop her skill as an athlete. Within a year, she drew attention of the Tuskegee Institute in Tuskegee, Alabama. In 1939, she joined the Tuskegee Preparatory School at the age of 16 after being offered a scholarship. The scholarship required her to work while studying and training. That included cleaning and maintaining sports facilities as well as mending uniforms. Coachman went onto graduate with a degree in dressmaking from the Tuskegee Institute in 1946. The following year she continued her studies at Albany State College, receiving a B.S. in Home Economics with a minor in science in 1949. She became a teacher and track-and-field instructor.
Alice Coachman had a great athletic career.
Many exercise and fitness experts talk about calories all of the time. What is the relationship between calories and food? There is big linkage between the two concepts. Calories are the energy units in food and drinks that are necessary or essential for all bodily functions. In other words, calories are needed to help the body for physical activity and basic activities like fuel growth and repair. Calories can come from macronutrients, carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. They each provide a different energy density. For example, carbohydrates provide 4 calories per gram, proteins have 4 calories per gram, alcohol has 7 calories per gram, etc. Fats are the most energy dense providing 9 calories per gram. People learn about caloric content to deal with weight management, overall health metrics, metabolism, and energy expenditure. Calories is a measure of how much energy in needed to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree Celsius. It is a unit that measures the body's use of energy which can be measured in kilocalories (kcal) or kilojoules (kJ). The number of calories a food or drink has is found on the nutrition label of food packaging and listed by serving size. Nucleotides, organic acids, and sugar alcohol have very small amounts of calories. Calories are vital to human life and health, because calories (or energy) consumed from food and beverages can help people breath, allow the heart to beat, walk, exercise, etc. in burning calories.
The number of calories people use during the day relate to metabolism. Metabolism is all combined reactions that occur throughout the body within each cell that provides the body with energy. Metabolism is measured in calories by TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure). TDEE is the total number of calories your body burns in a day, including all activities from basic functions to intentional exercise, and is composed of Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), Thermic Effect of Food (TEF), Exercise Activity Thermogenesis (EAT), and Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis (NEAT). How much calories a person needs per day depends on genetics, lifestyle factors, sex, height, lean body mass, activity level, and health goals. U.S. dietary guidelines says that the average adult man requires 2,500 calories per day and the average woman adult requires 2,000 calories per day. These numbers vary by individuals. For weight loss, you’ll need to eat fewer calories to create a calorie deficit. For weight gain, you’ll need to eat more calories to create a calorie surplus. A balanced weight maintenance is when calorie intake is equal to calorie expenditure. Energy balance is the relationship between calories “in” via food and beverages and calories “out” via the body’s daily energy requirements. Calories from whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, eggs, dairy products, poultry, red meat, seafood, and shellfish, generally contain more micronutrients per gram than processed foods, particularly ultra-processed foods such as candy, sugar-sweetened beverages, and mass-produced packaged foods. Foods with the lowest calories are high in water and/or fiber. Foods with the most calories tend to be high in fat.
