My answer to people thinking Zionists run the U.S. and the world.
I think this is a serious issue and have this to say about the subject of Zionism.
First of all there are rascist people in this world. There are people who hate blacks, jews, hispanics, chinese, catholics, muslims, irish, etc, etc. The only thing I have to say about those people is that this is what Jesus meant when He said 'Judge Not lest ye be judged' (Matthew 7:1), because you're using some opinion other than what God's Word teaches. If you are just rascist against the Jews just say it. Don't try and contrive some kind of accusation against the innocent Jewish people.

The Lord told me recently that king Herod, back in the time of Christ was an example of what people are calling Zionism. King Herod was put in there by the Roman empire and was not for the wellbeing of the Jewish people at all. This is shown by the fact that he had all those who could possibly have been the Messiah murdered in cold blood. This is the same spirit that is working through the ruler of the Jews today who were also put in there by todays Roman empire that still rule the world.

The Visit of the Wise Men
1
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2
saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3
When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4
And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
5
And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
6
And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,

art not the least among the princes of Judah:
for out of thee shall come a Governor,
that shall rule my people Israel. Mic. 5.2
7
¶ Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
8
And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
9
When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10
When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11
And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
12
And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

The Slaying of the Infants
13
¶ And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
14
When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
15
and was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. Hos. 11.1
16
¶ Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

17
Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying,
18
In Ramah was there a voice heard,

lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning,
Rachel weeping for her children,
and would not be comforted,
because they are not. Jer. 31.15
19
¶ But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
20
saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.
21
And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
22
But when he heard that Archela'us did reign in Judea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:
23

and he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: Lk. 2.39 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene. Is. 11.1--0.1
40 B.C. The Romans are driven out and the city is briefly ruled by Mattathias Antigonus, the Hasmonean King. The Romans reconquer the city.

39 B.C. Herod is chosen by the Romans to be King of the Jews. (Herod's father was an Arab who had been forcibly converted to Judaism, and so he was readily adapted for Roman uses. Mark Antony made him a Roman citizen, and thus his son, Herod, learned roman politics.)

In 41 A.D. Herod the Great's kingdom was temporarily re-established (for about 3 years) for his grandson Herod Agrippa I (see The Herods). It was this Herod that had James, the brother of John, executed (Acts 12:1-2). He then imprisoned Peter with the intention of killing him also (Acts 12:3-5), but God had an angel go in and get him out (Acts 12:6-10).

Like all of the rest, Herod Agrippa I had a very high opinion of himself. One day, about 44 A.D., he went so far as to, in effect, claim to be divine - a blasphemous act for which God struck him down: "And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms." (Acts 12:21-23 KJV)

After the death of Herod Agrippa I, the procurators were put back in charge, however in 66 A.D. the Jews rebelled against Roman rule. In 70 A.D., after a 143 day siege which began at Passover, a Roman military force consisting of about 30,000 troops under the command of Titus battered the walls and entered the city. They destroyed everything, including Herod's Temple - exactly as spoken by Jesus Christ 40 years earlier. The population and the great number of Passover visitors who had been trapped there were brutally slaughtered, with an estimated 600,000 people killed.

The Roman army then moved over to Caesarea on the coast of The Mediterranean Sea where a great many more were killed. Over 90,000 were taken captive, including the historian Flavius Josephus who recorded the events in his Wars of The Jews.
By 70 A.D., Jerusalem and Judea were left desolate, the people killed or in captivity. All that remained was the defiant little garrison atop Masada.

As you can see that Herod wasn't a friend of uprightness. He wanted to kill the Messiah, King of the Jews who was prophecied as the One who would save Israel from her sins. And even be the Saviour of the whole world. Just like now the Jewish rulers who were put in there by Rome are not for the Jewish people but work for the Vatican in Rome.
