In our 82nd “The American View” we continue our discussion of the new book by David Kuo titled “Tempting Faith: An Inside Story Of Political Seduction” (Free Press). Kuo was second in command of President Bush’s un-Biblical and un-Constitutional Office Of Faith-Based And Community Initiatives. Kuo, who says he is a Christian, believes fervently in this project. His major complaint is that Mr. Bush over-promised and did not give it enough Federal tax dollars to this lawless boondoggle and the President (gasp!) politicized this Office! Shocking, no? No. Kuo also reveals how White House staffers mocked and ridiculed come of the so-called “Christian leaders” who showed up to thrust their respective snouts into this public trough.
