Architecture as Riddles in Stone




Manitoba has plenty of Masonic influence in its nation and architecture. Architecture is a very interesting and complex endeavor. Today, most people view architecture as simply artistic representation that exist in buildings, images, and other locations. Yet, this isn't the case all of the time. "Architecture and the Crisis of Modern Science" was a book written by Pérez-Gómez. Gomez wrote that since the Scientific Revolution, architecture is a form that became more technical. Before the 1700's, architecture had a huge influence form the mystical and occult world. Even today, some architecture from D.C., Denver, and other places worldwide have occult relationships. Nicolas Louis Durand (who lived from 1760-1834) was one French architect who constructed buildings in a way to be based on rationalism (including scientific positivism) and reasoned thought (without esoteric teachings). Freemasonry has been involved in promoting architecture with sacred geometry for many centuries. Masons claim that architecture to them was a means to achieve moral betterman and personal perfection. This isn't just me saying this. Freemason Frank Albo believes in this concept. Of course personal perfection morally is impossible since man isn't God at all. That is why the degree system in Freemasons is immersed in architecture. Freemasonry has influenced even architecture from the Enlightenment period. As time came on, Masonic architects tried to find a balance between rationality and concepts beyond static rationalism of the day of the late 1700's. For example, architect and writer Nicolas Le Camus de Mézières (1721-93) defined the role of architecture as creating a building that can evoke human sensations (because they could speak to the mind and move the soul). Charles de Wailly even created an engraving of Solomon's Temple. Freemasonry had a role in the educational curriculum at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris, the period's most influential school of classical revivalism. This school was also a place filled with magical orders and occult Freemasonry in the 1880's.


Ecole focused on the Egyptian precedent of images and Vitruvian theory (this was promoted by Freemasonry). Now, Vitruvian comes from the Vitruvian Man image of Leonardo DaVinci. This belief is about the belief that humans have specific mathematical porportions all around their bodies. Da Vinci drawn a man in a cricle plus square. Some use this concept as a means to improve their architecture devices. There was a real Roman architect called Vitruvius. Vitruvius believed that the construction of temples must be in accordance to the proportions of the human body. Some disagree with a universal set of porportions for the human body. Masonic ideas influenced the designs of parks, monuments, cemeteries, gardens, and mausolea from across the world. Jacques Rousseau was a philosopher who believed that the natural landscape garden represents the regeneration of mankind and the improvement of society as a whole. Masons love Egyptian architecture, because Freemasonry relates to the same Mysteries as ancient Egypt was based upon. Masonic imagery is definitely found in the Manitoba Legislative Building. Even in the early 1900's, Winnipeg in Manitoba had plenty of Secret Societies or spiritualist groups. According to Henry Makow's research (and I don't agree with Makow on every issue though): "...Between 1870 and 1970, Manitoba had 12 Premiers who were masons. Several city mayors were also masons, including Francis Cornish, Winnipeg's first mayor. Between 1870 and and 1924, over 140 masonic lodges were established in Manitoba and, between 1875 and 1970, 86 masonic corner stones were laid in public buildings throughout the province, including city hall, many churches and many schools.)..." Séances were done in the home of Dr. T.G. Hamilton. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930), and Canadian Prime Minister Mackenzie King (1874-1950) gathered for these events. The Grand Lodge of Manitoba doubled in size in the early part of the 20th century. The Manitoba government in December 1911 instituted a competition to all architects within the British Empire. There were a government sub committee about it with Freemasons dealing with it. The winning design was found on the basis of its monumental character. Frank Worthington Simon was a distinguished and award-winning architect. He graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Jean-Louis Pascal was his teacher. There is debate on who is really responsible for the Manitoba Legislative Building's design. Some view the person as Septimus Warwick of London. Frank Worthington Simon would be the supervising architect of the structure. He lived in Winnepeg from 1917 until 1920 (when the Manitoba Legislative Building had its grand opening). The legislative place had eecentric designs of satyrs, coiled snakes, ram heads, and even a decapitated head of Medusa.



On the top of the Manitoba Legislative Building, there is the image of Hermes. Hermes is a patron figure of Freemasonry. Hermes is the false god of wisdom, the first teacher of science, the teacher of philosophy, the inventor of hieroglyphics, etc. in myths. Hermes relates to Hermeticism. Hermeticism is about religious/philosophical belief based upon the views of Hermes or Thoth (who is the ancient Egyptian form of Hermes). Hermes Trismegistus means thrice greatest Hermes. It relates to Gnosticism that rejected rationality and religious dogma. Hermeticism is flexible to merge paganism with theism in many cases. The pro-Hermeticists are pantheists and accept the concept of as above so below. As above so below means is that the macrocosm (the Universe) is a reflection of the microcosm (or man). In other words, man is a refllection of the Universe. Even the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn was created in 1888 by Freemasons William W. Westcott and Samuel MacGregor Mathers. A manuscript from 1659, housed in the Royal Society of London, draws a link between the wisdom of Hermes, proto-Freemasonry, and governmental rule:


"...This Craft…founded by worthy Kings and Princes and many other worshipful men prescribes dedication to the seven liberal arts, particularly geometry. Hermes taught it and he was "the father of Wisemen [who] found out the two pillars of Stone whereon the Sciences were written and taught them forth, and at the making of the Tower of Babylon there the craft of masonry found..." (Margaret Jacobs, The Origins of Freemasonry, pp. 13-14.).













The Hermes (also called the Golden Boy) statue on top of the Legislative Building was built by Georges Gardet. He was ironically a student of the École des Beaux-Arts. The Ecole was formed in 1648. It promoted the art of classical antiquity, High Renaissance, and Baroque. There is a bronze bison in the Manitoba Legislative Building. This bison are sacred to the Plains Native Americans of Manitoba. The bison's cousin called the bull is found in ancient Middle Eastern palaces and temples. According to Aldo, the images of gods or spirits are keepers of the threshold. The keystone arch above the entrance (of the Gran Staircase Hall) is made up of the image of Athena. Athena is the goddess of wisdom. She is the patron goddess of Sir Francis Bacon and relates to the owl of the Bohemian Grove. The image of Medusa with snakes is found in the opposite of Athena on the keystone of the towering southern arch. Baconian imagery, owl images, and other occult symbolism is found in Washington D.C.'s Library of Congress Building as well. The hall is measured as 66.6 feet square. 666 to Christians is known as the Mark of the Beast (or the antichrist as found in Revelation 13:18). There is another meaning to 666 as well. According to De Occulta Philosophia (created in 1509 as written by Cornelius Agrippa. Agrippa was one of the modern figures in Western occultism. Agrippa wrote of the occult nature of the Pentagram image according to the great "Riddles and Stones" documentary that was directed by Christian Pinto) see 666 as the magic square of the sun. This square is made up of 36 squares in a number pattern from 1 to 36. 1 to 36 equals 666 if you add all of the number between 1 and 36 (including 1 and 36). Occultists view the sun ruling the 36 decans of the sky. The magic square involves creating talismans, magical objects, etc. Agrippa believes that these sun talismans are for protection against darkness. That isn't true obviously.


Others viewed the sun's value as 666 as well in the occult. Sacred Geometry is found throughout the Manitoba Legislative Building as well. Now, sacred geometry is about the belief that geometry has spiritual meaning to understand God and the universe. Followers of this belief view the ancients as utilizing these designs in order to describe nature. The rotunda of the Legislative building has a marble floor with a black eight pointed star image in the lower level. According to Aldo, this image relates to sacrifice altars of ancient Egypt (where the altar was meant for the microcosm of the center of the Universe). There is nothing wrong with Geometry since Geometry is a real aspect of God's creation (and it's apart of mathematics). Yet, we should not assign false spiritual meanings into Geometry at all. The circle to proponents of Sacred Geometry means the perfect form of Nature. The rectangular is a shape as well in that form of geometry. Some occultists believe in this stuff:


"…geometrical bodies were considered to be the most appropriate vehicle for reconciling man and his institutions with the external Nature. This geometry was not a method or operation. The figures were used because they were believed to be the fundamental constitutive and visible elements of Nature (Pérez-Gómez, Architecture and the Crisis of Modern Science, pp. 159-60).









Simon (one of the architects of the building) admitted that the building with geometric images are formed to try to shape the lives of its visitors. He said that: "the effect of the building would in the course of time make the people around it, more perceptive, more intelligent, better balanced and altogether more civilized beings." There are images of Jesus Christ. That's ironic since Canada is less religious than America is. It's found in the Rotunda. Freemasonry always claims to be compatible with Christianity (that is why you see the images of Jesus Christ in the Manitoba building), but it isn't. The reason is that Freemasonry accepts the Kabbala, Ecumencialism, forms of occultism, secret death oaths, and calling a man Grand master, which are all contrary to the Holy Scriptures. There is the Lieutenant Governor's Reception Suite. It's internal floor plan accoridng to Aldo equals to the measurements of the Holy of Holies of Solomon's Temple. The Holy of Holies was a sacred Chamber of the Temple which housed the Ark of the Covenant. Only select priests (manily from the tribe of Levi) were allowed into the Holy of Holies. This is where the Shekinah or glory of God is found as described in the Old Testament. The Third Degree of Freemasonry teaches the information on the Holy of Holies. They put it into a Masonic lens though. Moses was the constructor of the Ark of the Covenant under God's direction. It housed the 10 commandments. In Masonic myth, 2 ruffians try to get the secret word (or the true name of God). So, they murder Hiram Abiff, or the chief architect of Solomon's Temple in Masonic mythology. Therefore in the Blue Degrees, a Mason reinacts these ceremonies to praise Hiram.












Hence, the Manitoba Legislature building is filled with esoteric philosophy, Masonic imagery, occult symbolism, and based on the theories of many men. There are statues representing Earth, Fire, Air, and Water. They are found at the bottom of the dome. The Sphinx is found on the left of the Pediment of the Building. Egyptian hieroglyphics are on its chest. They translate as "The firm/lasting manifestation of Re (or Ra), the good god who has given life." The pharoah statue is said to be of Thutmosis III (which is important to some Rosicurcians and Freemasons). Lady Manitoba is found on the pediment of the Manitoba Legislative Building as well. 5, 8, and 13 are numbers found in the buildings. They are apart of the never ending Fibonacci sequence. They include 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, and to infinity. The skylight of the grand staircase has units of 3 by 5. The bottom section of the grand staircase consists of 13 steps. There are 3 sections of 13 steps in the grand staircase. There is so much occult and Masonic symbolism in that place, it's incredible. I just touch on the basic level of interpretation of the symbolism there.













Hollywood Movies and Symbolism


The Hollywood industry is about the corporate elite's playground in implanting their agenda into people's minds to gear them into a certain direction. Propaganda has been apart of Hollywood since its formation in the early 1900's. High drama with emotion (and crisis) can stir emotions and moods. Getting these points with drama is one way to even program people. Some have called this technique predictive programming. This is nothing new. The Bible is certainly right in pointing out that there is nothing new under the sun. Now, Plato in his Republic book talked about the culture industry of his own day. He said that using the culture by the elite is needed to control society. The plays in ancient Greece were authorized by the ancient Greek government. Some of them were complusory. According to Alan Watt, even slaves were forced to look at the plays. This was done in manipulating people. Today, we have similar stories of heroes in Hollywood movies. Some of the major actors in Hollywood are hereditary (or they are related to specific European bloodlines). Some can trace their family tree hundreds of years (or even thousands of years) to the Merovingian bloodline. Many directors and producers fully understand how messages are relayed to the public. Many of them know the science of predictive programming and the occult (which was promoted by Hollywood since its inception). Hollywood has been crucial in developing an international culture for the worldwide society. Plato mentioned the fashion industry and today we have a big corporate fashion industry. Controlling human behavior has been turned into a big science. The right propaganda can get a certain amount of the public to follow silly trends. Old things from the past are reintroduced now in terms of fashion and cinema concepts. Hollywood comes from Holly wood. Now, this wood from ancient times relates to the magic's wand from the Magi or the Druid tribes of Celtic Europe. This magi in the occult waves a wand to change matter in various mythological stories. Even the early Mickey Mouse (he is dressed as a wizard) cartoons have Mickey Mouse waving a wand to transform Donald Duck. Some of the wands have the 5 Pointed star on it (The 5 Pointed star has many meanings from Nature [made up of fire, water, spirit, air, and earth], the Realm of Hell, and the Perfected Man). In the ancient history of the Middle East, a staff is common among leaders of various tribes. Ironically, Hollywood is a place where movies are created to cast of spell on the population in order to change the cultural norms in our society. It's as simple as that.

The Holly wood relates to Groves since the ancient Magi would meet in Groves to conduct rituals. Today, the Bohemian Grove is a place where Western elites conduct occult rituals ironically inside of Groves. Many actors don't understand the brainwashing aspects of Hollywood (or how many actors and actresses in Hollywood embrace occult/unbiblical values). Hollywood propose possibilities in our world. There are especially certain militaristic films that promote a false form of heroism. Being a true hero has nothing to do with fighting unjustified wars or feeling that you're invincible (that's why a lot of young people are in certain nihilistic, militaristic films since numerous young folks think that they can be almost unstoppable emotionally). Being a real hero is about showing meekness, strength, and acting on the legitimate principles of morality plus truth.
