Promoting Justice and Truth

Today is Dr. Martin Luther King's Day. He is famous person that is related to the Civil Rights Movement. Other people of many backgrounds also contributed to the Civil Rights Movement. People were beaten and some died, so we could exist in America with certain freedoms. The lesson with Martin Luther King is that all forms of injustice ought to be opposed. We do know that Martin Luther King wasn't perfect. I don't agree with all of his actions of course (from adultery, aligning with the U.N., etc.). This doesn't mean we go into a closet and love evil. This does mean we should be inspired to fight for the legitimate liberty found in all people irrespective of the race, color, creed, or gender. We remember Dr. King for what he also did that was right (like opposing people being treated as 2nd class citizens and citizens getting beat up by racist mobs). We ought to be more meek and fight even harder for truth and justice as God would want us to do. We should be leaders in our own communities to help the poor, work in our communities, and educate people in our own society. We should respect our civil liberties and respect real Patriots that exist in many racial backgrounds. Barack Obama's inauguration will occur in Washington D.C. tomorrow. It will be a historic occasion and a new era in American society. The security presence, of course in D.C., will be immense. Stephen Clark form Fox News on January 17, 2009 wrote that the security force in the inauguration will be larger than the number of troops in Afghanistan. A record crowd is expected for the event also. The U.S. Secret Service is overseeing a security force of more than 40,000 people, 7,500 active duty soldiers, 10,000 National Guard troops and 25,000 law-enforcement officers. This easily surpasses the 31,000 troops serving in Afghanistan. Intelligence officials believe that no specific threats are occuring against Obama, but they realize the signficiance of swearing in the first black President could make him a vulnerable target. “We have to be prepared for the lone individual who will try to interrupt the event all the way up to a terrorist organization,” Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan told FOXNews.com. The Metropolitan Police Department will deploy 4,000 officiers. It will also help with 4,000 additional officers from 99 federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies from across the country. The MPD officers last week worked in 6 day weeks with 12 hour shifts in anticipation of the inauguration. Bridges into Washington and about 3.5 square miles of the capital's downtown will be closed Tuesday. The security perimeter covers more of the city than in previous inaugurations. There can be 2 to 4 million people expected to come into Washington D.C. It will an interesting time for all Americans.

Drew Zahn from World Net Daily wrote about how some in Congress are attempting to abolish the 22nd Amendment. The U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary is considering a bill to just do that. The 22nd Amendment limits the President in only acquiring 2 terms as the length of time a President can have. Rep. Jose Serrano of New York (he is a Democrat) earlier this month introduced the bill H.J. Res. 5. That bill has language that proposes an amendment to the Constitution to repeal the 22nd Amendment. If this bill will pass (it will be difficult to pass since Amendments are extremely hard to pass, especially in matters like Presidential terms), then Presidents can serve longer than just 8 years. Eisenhower, Clinton, and Reagan criticized the 22nd Amendment. Thomas Jefferson believed in term limits from 1807 since he feared that without term limits, a President can be a dictator (and the office of the President is devalued into an inheritance). Thomas Jefferson wrote to John Taylor expressing the need for a new Amendment to limit the length of a Presidential term to 8 years. Back then in America, there was no fixed term among the Presidency. That is why President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected more than 2 times. The fixed term was passed in March 21, 1947 when the 22nd Amendment was ratified. If a new Amendment is passed (to extend Presidential term limits), Barack Obama could run for more than 8 years. Serrano wanted to ban the 22nd Amendment back in 2003. We certainly don't want a President to rule for life, since that negates the diversity of political power and it could restrict freedoms. That is why term limits for the President and Congress is purely necessary in American society.

Press TV from January 17, 2009 harbored news about pro-American Iranians being convicted in Iran. They were found guilty since they were accused of attempting to orchestrate a "Velvet Revolution" in Iran. They have been sentenced to prison. In a Saturday statement, the Islamic Revolution’s Court hit out at the Bush administration for “making strenuous efforts to topple the Iranian government.” “Under the Bush administration renegades and fifth elements in Iran have kept close contact with US intelligence agents. Under the cover of governmental and non-governmental institutions, with the support of the US State Department and Congress they have been working toward achieving their objectives,” read the statement. Last Tuesday, Iran's Judiciary Spokesman, Alireza Jamshidi said that authorities arrested 4 Iranian nationals. Iran accused them of plotting a regime change at the behest of the Bush administration. According to Jamshidi, the 4 people were paid by the White House, the State Department and the CIA, to expand their network and topple the Iranian government. The Iranian government proclaimed that the suspects confessed to their crimes. The US State Department of course denied any involvement with working with people to overthrow the Iranian government. The US denial came despite a July report by investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, which revealed that the US Congress had secretly agreed to a request made by US President George W. Bush, to finance a major anti-government operation inside Iran with a budget of $400 million. This is while the 1981 Algiers Accords was signed between the US and Iran in the aftermath of the US embassy takeover in Tehran. These accords obliges Washington to refrain from interfering in Iran’s ‘internal affairs’. Also, the US has send troops in the Iranian border before. The neo-con aim of controlling the Middle East is continuing under Elizabeth Cheney (she is the daughter of Vice President Dick Cheney). Elizabeth helped to launch the Democracy Program Initiative. It's a secretive program that has reportedly appropriated more than $120 million to fund the project. So, it will be interesting to see if America will promote an overt invasion of Iran or not.

There are new discoveries found about NATO and other issues. Some of the Vatican's most powerful locations are in Borgo Spirito Santo and Piazza del Gesu. NATO was created as a North Atlantic political/military network. Its main headquarters is located at Brussels, Belgium. NATO is currently headed by a Roman Catholic Dutchman by the name of Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. He's NATO 11th Secretary General who took over this post in January 2004. The previous Allied Commander of Europe (or in NATO's top other position) was Jesuit Georgetown trained General James L. Jones (he is an USMC 4-star General). James Jones now is Barack Obama's US National Security Advisor. The General succeeded by Bantz J. Craddock, who was an US Army 4-star General. Craddock rules the NATO's military forces' command center called SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe), based in Casteau, near Mons, Belgium. The Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath member John McColl is the Deputy Allied Commander of Europe since October 2007. Scheffer met with Bush even in March 20, 2006. General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer even met with the late head of the Knights of Malta Anderew Bertie. What's interesting is that Freemasonry is linked to NATO. There is the Supreme Council , American Military Scottish Rite Bodies in NATO. Deputy Robert W. Woodward, 33°, G.C., is the Deputy of Scottish Rite Bodies, in NATO Bases. Woodward met with Bulgarian Freemasons. Constantin Iancu, 33ยบ, Sovereign Grand Commander, Supreme Council of AASR from Romania admitted that Freemasons want to reestablish King Solomon's Temple and have an one world Brotherhood of Masons. Hence, NATO is one nexus point connecting with Freemasonry and the Vatican/Jesuit network. Their own members to this day admit that Secret orders like Freemasons want a new order of the ages and the reconstruction of Solomon's Temple.

Marcus Papadopoulos from Global Research on January 17, 2009 wrote about Georgia and Iran. Georgia's President Mikheil Saakashvili is involved in high level negoitations with members of the American government. These meetings are about the construction of American military bases in the South Caucasian country according to a representative of a Georgian opposition party. Nestan Kirtadze of the Georgian Labour Party said last week that President Saakashvili is offering Washington thousands of hectares of land rent free on which to build military bases. Mrs. Kirtade wanted American policy makers to not turn Georgia into a theatre of confrontation between US and Russia. Russia is suspicious that America wants to encircle Russia with its military funding of Georgia (along with America's support of the Ukraine possibly joining NATO). Russia and Georgia has a temporary battle in a war. Russia was attacked first by Georgia. Then, Russia responded and easily defeated the Georgian forces. Civilians died on both sides. Also, that region in Georgia has oil resources, so the battle didn't just occur for no reason whatsoever. Russia and the West are competing against other for the oil supplies that are found in the Eurasian region. This competition is the future battlelines for world hegemony. The Georgian leader now is staunchly pro-Western as his reign was facilitated by the Rose Revolution (which was supported by the CIA and George Soros). Last year Russia’s envoy to Nato, Dmitri Rogozin, argued that the US wants to use the strategically-placed Caucasus country as a base for military operations against the Islamic republic of Iran. It's unlikely that Barack Obama will attack Iran since he's for more diplomacy than the neo cons are. Obama has stated that no option is off the table when dealing with Iran, but he wants strong, direct diplomacy with Tehran to have progress. Yet, Obama supports NATO and is just as aggressive toward Russia as George W. Bush was. Joseph Biden expressed support for the leadership of Georgia.

News relating to Pro-Life issues keep on coming. Ken Connor from January 16, 2009 made known about how the fututre about the Pro-Life Movement depends on young Evangelicals opposing abortion. The future is uncertain about the pro-life movement with the advent of a new President. Barack Obama unfortunately opposes even new restrictions on abortion. This is the truth inspite of his words that: "[N]obody is pro-abortion, abortion is never a good thing." Quite to the contrary, I know plenty of people who are pro-abortion. Many pro-abortion protestors proudly say in a sick manner that they are for abortion on demand. Anti-abortion ballot measures in California and Colorado failed at the polls. And even with its strong pro-life population, South Dakota failed to pass an abortion ban for the second time in two years. Abortion is always evil. One piece of good news is that the pro-abortion extremists have ceded ground to pro-lifers in recent years. Some of them realize that abortion isn't a quaint, holy procedure. The rate of abortions per-thousand women is at its lowest point since the passing of Roe v. Wade in 1973. While the total number of abortions is still depressingly high (1.2 million in 2005), the declining percentage of women having abortions is encouraging. Today, young Evangelicals are more pro-life than their parent's generation. Moreover, the Pew poll (from 2007) found that 66% of the 29-and-under bracket said "ending abortion was very important," compared to 63.9% of those over age 60. Yet, young pro lifers like me want a broader approach like helping the poor plus the needy, have respect for the environment, care to the unborn, have support for families, and care for those abused. The battle isn't over yet. Abortion is still murder and abortion rates (especially in NYC and other places in America) are way too high. The principles of perserving life from the unborn to death is apart of the same authentic American principles that still reign in the United States of America.

Timothy Williams from the New York Times January 16, 2009 outline information about the Iraqi shoe thrower. He is being beaten in an Iraqi prison and he is being denied family visits. On TV, he threw a shoe at President George W. Bush. I wonder what the Secret Service was doing with their limited response in protecting the President. George W. Bush claims that his American military effort is successful in pacifying a large portion of Iraq. The journalist's name is Muntadhar al-Zeidi and he is 29. He was immediately arrested and was only allowed 2 visitors since December. His family and his lawyer say they do not know where he is being held and they are concerned about his well being. The reason is that his family aren't being allowed to speak with him by telephone. On Thursday, Dhiyaa al-Saadi, al-Zeidi’s lawyer, said he had recently seen medical records that were part of al-Zeidi’s court file, which he said added credence to the journalist’s claim he had been beaten and tortured after his arrest Dec. 14. Al-Zeidi was beaten by the security detail of the Iraqi prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki. Al-Saadi said that 2 medical reports were conducted by the government physicians within a week of al-Zeidi's arrest. The report found that al-Zeidi experienced bruising that covered the reporter's face and body. He had severe damage to his legs plus his arms, a missing tooth, a gash on the bridge of his nose; and what appeared to be a burn mark on his ear. Al-Saadi said he had not been permitted to remove the records from the office of the judge investigating the case, so the existence of the documents could not be verified independently. But the account of al-Zeidi’s wounds matches injuries described. Uday al-Zeidi (who is al-Zeidi's brother) feared that the journalist will face up to 7 years in prison. He doesn't know his fate. Al-Zeidi's family maintains that he has no ties to any extremist group at all. The truth is that journalist was wrong in throwing a shoe at President George W. Bush. Yet, the punishment for this bad action is too excessive and it is wrong to brutally assault Al-Zeidi as well.
