This link leads to four John Birch Society propaganda videos (actually one video cut in four parts). If you go to You tube and look at them you'll see responses to them from FOAVC (Friends of the Article V Convention) and find they tell many lies and misstatements.

But, forget the videos. Ask yourself this question: if the state legislatures really believed a convention is such a threat how come to this day they keep asking for one and how come they have submitted 750 applications for one from all 50 states? All that is needed is 34 applications so it is obvious the state legislatures do not believe what the JBS says.

You can read the texts of the applications at www.foavc.org. Learn the truth. Then decide.

It's kind of ironic that you mention this since many people (who are not affilitrated with the JBS) describe their dissent with a Constitutional Convention. Also, many of the justification for the dissent of the Article V Convention has nothing to do with lies.

Just because the majority of people want something, doesn't mean it's legitimate to carry forth. Using your logic, we should still have Roe since the majority of Americans want Roe to continue forth in American society. State legislatures have a right to propose these things likewise people have right to disagree with such thing. I don't agree with the JBS on every issue though.

I might read your site when you have time. In actuality, we can solve our problems without a Constitutional Convention indeed.
