The End of the Week Facts.

Now, the House managers conclude in their final day of arguments. The prosecution in the Senate utilized arguments that Trump glorified violence long before January 6, 2021. Also, they shown video evidence about how Trump outlined no empathy towards the suffering at the U.S. Capitol. One of the great points of the presentation was that the House managers said that Trump refused to stop the violence quickly if he wanted to. Trump could have easily called the National Guard immediately after the violence has taken place. That was a dereliction of duty. Not to mention that tons of Trump administration officials resigned immediately after the terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol. The House Managers have gave a powerful closing argument. Later, the Republicans will present their arguments in defense of one of the worst Presidents in history being Donald Trump. The Trump lawyers will make false equivalencies to slander BLM and peaceful protesters like usual. They will minimize Trump's hate filled and violent rhetoric which contributed to the harm done to people at D.C. on January 6, 2021. Trump even said that he wanted people to go to the Capitol to try to stop the legal certification of the 2020 election. There is absolutely no excuse for Trump abhorrent words, lies about the 2020 election, and his cause of the violence. Trump caused the protest and incited an insurrection to try to eliminate the results of the 2020 Presidential election. That's treason. Trump is being investigated in Georgia too.

One location where many of my paternal distant cousins live at is in Newport News, Virginia. Many years ago, I didn't knew this. Many of my paternal ancestors came from Halifax, North Carolina. From there, they migrated into Newport News. The person named Jasper Williams Jr. (1930-2002) is my first cousin. His son named Gregory Ellis Williams (b. 1963) is my 2nd cousin. His children are my 3rd cousins living in Newport News, Virginia. All of them are descendants of Leatte Williams from North Carolina. Therefore, many people of the Williams family are certainly related to me. I like to do research. My 4th cousin Nicole Hairston Brown (b. 1970) has a long history. She is married to Eric Brown. Nicole Brown and I are descendants of my 4th great grandfather George Perkins I (b. 1815). Nicole Brown's parents are Samuel Hairston Junior (b. 1939) and Dixie Rae Artis (b. 1943).  Nicole's siblings are Timothy LaMonte Hairston (b. 1963), Juan Latoria Hairston (1963-2019), and Samuel Lashawn Hairston Jr. (b. 1964). My late 4th cousin Jaun Latoria Hairston was a great human being. She lived from May 10, 1963 to September 22, 2019. She was born in Rockingham County, North Carolina. Juan Latoria Hairston was a 1981 graduate of J.M. Morehead High School in Eden and a 1994 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University. She had previously worked for Tyco Industries in Greensboro and was retired from the United States Army. Her son is Brook Hairston (or my 5th cousin). My 3rd cousin Samuel Hairston L. Junior's parents are Samuel Hairston (1909-1976) and Victoria Casey Hairston (1911-2002). Samuel Hairston and Victoria Casey Hairston married each other on February 17, 1934 at Danville, Virginia.

Last week, Bianca Belair was the first black woman to win the WWE Women's Royal Rumble. She is from Knoxville, Tennessee. She was a track athlete filled with charisma and power. To see the emotions on her and her parents' faces certainly represents a new era of our time. We should cherish these events, because not too long ago, we couldn't eat where we want in America. It was only about 66 years ago when Jim Crow existed. I was born only about 15 years after Dr. King's assassination. The great point that Bianca Belair made recently is that any human being is made up of history, we have the right to establish our own history in a forthright fashion.

Once again, some of the leadership of France has chosen xenophobia and ignorance of racial issues instead of promoting justice for all. French President Emmanuel Marcon (who made offensive remarks about Africans) has criticized progressive activism in France. The truth is that race, gender, and post colonialism issues have every right to be discussed in America, in France, and in every area of planet Earth without apology. That is what the freedom of speech is all about. The French educational minister has criticized discussions of race, gender, and post colonialism. The minimizing of racial oppression in France is what is ultimately undermining France. France is home to massive Islamophobia too. The good news is that a younger generation of French people are promoting a fight to eliminate structural injustices in France.

The new director of Paris Opera wants to ban blackface and diversify its staff. The racist far right person Marine Le Pen disapproves of this action. In France, 2 ignorant social scholars oppose racial studies whose names are Stéphane Beaud and Gérard Noiriel. In America, we have racial studies galore, because it is important to promote diversity in America. The United States of America is the most diverse nation in human history. Also, France is not a homogeneous society. France is made of Celts, Franks, black people, Arabic people, Normans, and folks of diverse backgrounds for centuries and thousands of years. Mass protests in France have existed to fight police brutality, systemic racism, sexism, and Islamophobia. You can't be a model of secularism and deny statistics on how many black people are in France. You can't be a model of justice when you don't have laws that address racial oppression. France leaders have yet to confront its racist, slave trading, and colonial history. The racist liar Pierre-André Taguieff denies white privilege and systemic racism existing in France. This racist said that exposing colonialism and Islamophobia is akin to hatred of the West. French scholars like Mame-Fatou Niang and Pap Ddiaye are fighting for Black studies and justice in France.
