Friday Updates.

Black History is certainly about honoring legends, unsung people, and us. One of the greatest writers, playwrights, and music teachers was Thelma Myrtle Duncan. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She studied at Howard University and Columbia University (at NYC). From Howard University, Thelma Myrtle Duncan graduated from the university cum laude with a degree in music. Dr. Carl J. Murphy was a journalist, publisher, educator, and civil rights leader. His father was a former slave in Montgomery County. Also, his father served in the Union Army, won his freedom, and founded the Baltimore Afro-American newspaper. He earned his B.A. from Howard University in 1911 and a M.A. from Harvard University in 1913. We know about the legendary Ruby Dee. A life long civil rights activist, a progressive black woman, and being against the Vietnam War, she loved truth. She loved Ossie Davis with a great love which outlines the beauty of Black Love. Without Black Love, no human would exist on this Earth as black people are the first humans of human history. Joseph Winters was a black man who invented the wagon mounted fire escape ladder. Benjamin A. Quarles was a great African American historian, administrator, scholar, educator, and writer. He wrote works entitled, The Negro in the Civil War, Black Abolitionists, The Negro in the American Revolution, etc. Enolia P. McMillian was the first woman President of the Baltimore, Maryland NAACP. Her father was born a slave. For the rest of her life, she fought for equal pay for black teachers and better schools for black students. May Miller was a playwright and poet of the Harlem Renaissance. Black history and black culture is global. It is found in the United States of America, in Africa, in Europe, in the Caribbean, in Latin America, in Asia, and in other places of the world. Black people exist in the four corners of the globe, and we are always appreciative of our Blackness.

Yesterday was the Birthday of the late legend Rosa Parks. Rosa Parks was a revolutionary black woman whose work has stood the test of time. She was born in the Deep South at Alabama. For years, she used self defense against, and she was educated on political consciousness from the legendary Septima Clark. Before the Montgomery Bus Boycott, she was a leader in the NAACP fighting for civil rights. Before the Montgomery Bus Boycott, Rosa Parks was defending black women victims of rape and abuse. That is her legacy. She refused to sit on the back on the bus to oppose unjust policies. Later, she lived in Virginia and Detroit. She worked with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Rosa Parks viewed Malcolm X as her personal hero. She supported the Black Panther Party. Parks fought the evil policies from the prison industrial complex. She fought against South African apartheid and opposed the Vietnam War. Decades later, Rosa Parks continued to speak out in favor of black freedom. She passed away in the year of 2005. I was almost 23 years old then. As one of our heroes, Rosa Parks remained steadfast in her awe inspiring convictions. She has kept the faith.

Rest in Power Sister Rosa Parks.

Many people know about the Charleston White person on the Internet. He (from Forth Worth, Texas) just came out of nowhere to say his words. Many people love him and some hate him. What is the truth? The truth is Charleston is representative of many different parts of our community. Our community is not monolithic. First, he came on the scene to praise Trump with a "Make America Great" hat. That alone shows that he is on the wrong side of truth, as Trump is a known liar, sexist, racist, and hypocrite. Later, he is filled with contradictions. He claims to be for helping the community, but has videos mocking the poor in showing his homes. He claims to be for Jesus Christ, but curses out the Bible (when his mother is a Christian). He claims to be for the South and hates many Northern black people, but black people who are real are found in the North, the South, and all over the country. It is true that many people in NYC and the North have used ignorant, bigoted stereotypes about black people from the South. That is wrong. Yet, not everyone in NYC and in Philadelphia are ignorant. We know that many black people in the South own a lot of land. So, a lot of his words represents divisiveness not enlightening the people on positive things. Some of his most strongest criticism is about Islam. He curses out Islam, the Koran, Muhammad, Elijah Muhammad, Louis Farrakhan, etc. My view is that he goes about this in the wrong way. People have the right to theologically disagree with Islam or any creed.  That's fine. Yet, it doesn't solve anything and it isn't right to just malign religious views and its followers in the most vulgar, disrespectful way possible. Obviously, I am not a Muslim. We can agree to disagree on things without being extremely obscene at every given moment. Also, Charleston White was a former pimp, and he hasn't rejected pimping. Pimping is one of the lowest, evilest things that anyone can do. I have no respect for those who pimp women. The problem with Charleston White revolves around his contradictions in claiming to want change (yet, I see no economic or political vision for the liberation of black people). He even said that he is opposed to black people knelling in peaceful protests when the national anthem is playing. Charleston White obviously has self hatred, loves to express Islamphobia, and has a slavery mentality (he said that he doesn't care about George Floyd being murdered by crooked cops, and Charleston White disrespected Sister Breonna Taylor. So, Charleston White is a traitor to black people). Charleston admitted on tape that he have links to Ted Cruz, the DHS, etc. So, he is a total agent. In our time, we reject distractions. We want real truth.

The Breaking news is that the House voted to eject Rep. Greene from Committees because of her horrendous statements. Only 11 Republicans voted to make this happen which is shameful. The total House votes are 230 to 199. Greene has allied with the British racist Hopkins, and Hopkins compared black African migrants to "cockroaches." So, Greene is an extremist and racist. Greene's fake apology never repudiated all of her vicious views. She tried to place blame on the media which is ludicrous. Greene had a Facebook ad of her holding a AK-47 in a picture next to 3 progressive Congresswomen. Now, you have far right extremists (i.e. The Georgia III% Martyrs) including traitorous militias in Georgia forming an alliance advocating Georgia secession.  The Georgia III% Martyrs provided security for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene during a rally in Ringgold, Georgia, last September. So, these far right extremists are enemies of the truth. Greene had made racist, Islamophobic, and anti-Semitic statements. She has been a follower of Qanon. Later, Greene made token remarks. Recently, she said that the media is taking little comments out of context which is a lie by her. Greene had endorsed violence against Nancy Pelosi. Greene made offensive views for years. Her words of school shootings being fake or a no blame hitting the Pentagon are very much distributing. Greene compares Democrats to a mob, but the real, far right mob had terrorized people at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. She deserves no coddling. She deserves great accountability. If a black person or a Muslim made similar comments like Greene, he or she would be kicked out of Congress ASAP. So, we know of the double standards, the hypocrisy, and the lies shown by many in the GOP. Greene lied and said that she said these things only before she was elected. After she was elected, she praised a pro-Qanon article. Greene made the lie that the media is just as guilty as Qanon. The GOP leader Kevin McCarthy lied and said that he never heard of Qanon (when he spoke about it months ago).

Once again, a certain section of people are silent on the abuse done by Chad Wheeler. Chad Wheeler was an evil person who almost beat a black woman to death. Also, the criminal Chad plead not guilty when he is truly guilty in abusing a black woman. That is why black men and black women have been on the rooftops telling this story, but some in the mainstream media has ignored this story. The woman almost died. This isn't the first time Chad did such evil. There is very small amount of news reports or media reports about this important story. The woman just escaped consciousness. The only person responsible for this tragedy is Chad Wheeler alone. ESPN is very much quiet on this story because of the obvious reason. Therefore, we are clear that those, who do domestic violence, should be heavily punished and held accountable for their actions. The black woman deserves therapy, healing, and justice.
