The New York Times Editorial board makes a 5,000-word case against Trump. Meanwhile, President Biden finished a press conference for almost one hour where he answered questions about his cognitive abilities, Israel, Gaza, Ukraine, China, domestic policy issues, and opposing the agenda of Donald Trump. During the press conference, President Biden displayed understanding about some of the most complex political, social, and economic issues of our generation. Recently, Biden misspoke about Zelensky and other matters, but he gave a defense of his political record. The corporate media is controlled by select corporate interests. Some in the corporate oligarchy desire to target Biden, because Biden has been increasingly progressive on economic issues. Biden has raised taxes on the super-wealthy, regulated Big Pharma, revived antitrust laws to attack monopolies, and spoken about the super-wealthy to pay their fair share of taxes. This has angered many of the super-wealthy interests (including some political donors), so they send some in the corporate media to try to get Biden to quit the race, so a token moderate (not Kamala Harris which is racist in my view) to replace Biden. Biden gave a strong point about opposing gun violence in America.
Vice President Kamala Harris is giving more speeches across the nation. The Biden camp is evaluating Harris's strength against Trump in new polling. According to the New York Times, some Biden aides want to convince Joe Biden to step down. This is part of the paranoia of moderates who desire a token moderate to be President. Some of them don't even want Kamala Harris to be President when Harris has executive and legislative experience for over 20 years. We live in historic times in America. We live in a time when democracy in America could be gone in 2025. This is the most serious time in American history since the days of the American Civil War. It's that serious because Trump allies have made it their duty to not only try to destroy federalism but many progressive policies that saved the lives of millions of human beings in America. Donald Trump has been convicted of 34 felonies, but some in the corporate media want Trump to stay in the race. That is that disgraceful double standard.
Trump is trying to distance himself from Project 2025. The problem is that Trump's political views are similar to Project 2025's goals and many leaders of Project 2025 are Trump allies and former Trump administration officials. So, Trump is trying to be slick in counting on numerous people not understanding his views. He admitted in public that he doesn't care about the people, but he wants our votes. Trump desires the execution of some military generals who disagree with him, was found legally liable of raping a woman, wants to eliminate DEI programs, and believes in the lie that the 2020 election was stolen. Trump recently met with the Hungary authoritarian leader Orban. Viktor Orban said that Hungary is not a mixture of cultures. That is a lie as Hungary has a long history of the Huns, the Roma, and other ethnic groups living in Hungary. Orban wants closer ties with China and Russia. Recently, the IRS has been cracking down on wealthy tax cheats who have evaded paying what they owe. The agency said that in one year, it has been able to collect 1 billion dollars in back taxes from 1,6000 millionaires.
Tariq Nasheed lives in his ivory tower and offers no solution to homelessness, environmental crisis, voting rights suppression, etc. He also forgets that voting also deals with schools, local counties, and governor races. The Supreme Court recently criminalized homelessness in certain circumstances, gave Presidents partial criminal immunity, practically ended all environmental regulations, and banned affirmative action for colleges. So, his attitude is selfish and ignorant. He said that single mothers don't deserve reparations, and the ADOS and FBA cults are truly sick to have some of them call anyone not born in America if they disagree with their xenophobia. My black ancestors, as I am a black American, have been in America long before the late 1700's proven genetically and by genealogical research. The fundamental point is that black liberation should be global, not limited to just one nation. Black people have the right to vote. I honor Ella Baker, who was a black American hero and Deborah Cox who is a great Afro-Canadian singer.
The movie Gladiator II is coming soon in November 2024. Many people have criticized Denzel Washington and the hip-hop music shown in the movie. We know why some of them are upset about that. I don't have to spell out the reason. Those people forget that this movie is a fictionalized story, not a historical documentary about the Roman Empire. No movie in fact can expose every component of the past 100 percent anyway. Also, those same critics also forget that people of black African sub-Saharan descent did live in the ancient Roman Empire as documented by tons of historical and archaeological research. The book called Blacks in Antiquity by Frank M. Snowden, Jr. document how many black people lived in the ancient Roman Empire. Seneca, Probus, Martial, and other Roman scholars wrote about black people in ancient Roman society. Black people in ancient times were called Ethiopians back then in the Roman Empire. Therefore, this film should be judged on the quality of its work beyond coded language about music.
