Here are today's lies, misstatements, disinformation, and stupidity:

(1) Daryl Bradford Smith begins this broadcast by saying that he doesn't want "mental defectives" in "the movement." How about yourself, Daryl?

(2) Daryl Bradford Smith goes on to attack John Carlson [1], saying he has been "black mamba-ed," whatever that means? What the fuck is the "black mamba"? Oh, it's Daryl!

(3) Daryl Bradford Smith says he's up 2700 percent on hits to his Web site. Well, if you start with 1 hit per day, then a 2700 percent lift is going to give you 2700 hits. Daryl Bradford Smith claims today that his site gets daily hits of, at most, 20,000 hits. Using a simple mathematical formula (20000=2700/100*x), we can then assume that, as of December 22, 2005, he was getting 815 hits a day. I know bloggers who get more than that.

(4) Daryl Bradford Smith says that if he makes a mistake, he will "mea culpa immediately." This whole Web site is dedicated to mistakes made on The French Connection, but Daryl Bradford Smith will not admit that he is wrong. He is genetically incapable to admit wronghead.

(5) Daryl Bradford Smith says that all of the leaders of the UFO movement are Jewish. He's quick to amend his statement by evoking his alliance with R' Dovid Weiss to ward off accusations of anti-Semitism, but I'm not buying. Everytime he rails against Jews, he brings up R' Weiss.

(6) According to Daryl Bradford Smith, George W. Bush is homosexual and Dick Cheney and Barney Frank are pedophiles. He says he has evidence. Does he offer it up? Of course not.

(7) Wayne Kyle comes in, and he was apparently a shipman on the U.S.S. America on the day of the attack on the U.S.S. Liberty. Kyle states, correctly, that when the Liberty radioed that America that they were under attack, they scrambled F4s to prevent further attack. However, these planes were recalled once it revealed that the Israelis had attacked the Liberty mistakenly. Kyle and Daryl Bradford Smith both claim that this was treason, but neither of them had the necessary information to know why the F4s were recalled.

(8) After the break, Daryl Bradford Smith reports that Lt. Cmdr James Ennes will not be able to come on that day. He will eventually appear on January 5, 2006, and you should go to that interview to read better refutation of the Liberty myth.

(9) Kyle floats several theories that are unprovable, the most prominent among them that the Israelis had a full strike force ready to board the Liberty, machine-gun the crew, load the boat with C4, and sink it. There is no evidence to suggest this was the plan for the Liberty. At best, Kyle is speculating.

(10) A caller, "Mike," calls in to debunk the idea that the Arab states were pawns of the Soviet Union. He claims that the Meir-Kaganovich pact insured that the Soviet Union was actually the ally of Israel. He claims that Zionism and Bolshevism are two arms of the same operation. He claims all this despite the fact that Natan Sharansky was jailed for Zionist activity and Zionism was illegal in the USSR after Stalin's 1952 declaration of Jews as "rootless cosmopolitans." He claims all this despite the fact that by 1967, Stalin was dead and Kaganovich had been purged by Khrushchev. He claims all this despite the fact that Kaganovich had no authority to conclude pacts or treaties. In 1948, Kaganovich was heading the communist party in Ukraine; Molotov was still foreign minister in 1948.

Here are today's lies, misstatements, disinformation, and stupidity:
(1) Daryl Bradford Smith claims that Rabbi Lapin at Toward Tradition agrees with him about “criminal Zionism.” This press release [1] would seem to indicate otherwise.

(2) Daryl Bradford Smith talks about “straw men,” but he gets the idea wrong. Mixing bad information with presumably good information is not a straw man. The straw man fallacy is attacking a position that your opponent does not actually have. What Smith is talking about is basically a disinfo strategy rather than a logical fallacy.

(3) Daryl Bradford Smith and Ted Pike discuss The Benjamin Freedman Speech without consideration for the actual facts (see the link). Ted Pike seems as ignorance as Daryl Bradford Smith about the actual realities concerning WWI history and the history of Palestine between 1916 and 1948.

(4) Ted Pike says the Russian Revolution in 1905 was led almost entirely by Jews. There is no empirical evidence to prove this point, and Pike is simply parroting Tsar Nicholas II’s own propaganda, which led to pogroms across Russia after the revolution was suppressed.

(5) There is a fundamental disagreement in events as recounted by Freedman via Pike and Daryl Bradford Smith and the actual facts of what happened during WWI in 1917. Whereas Freedman claims that it was the Jews who brought down Germany after being promised Palestine, but Germany actually gained substantial territory in the fall of 1917 because he managed to bring down the Provisional Government following the March Revolution in Russia by sending Lenin to St. Petersburg. Lenin led the Bolshevik coup that, in turn, led to the Brest-Litovsk Treaty, in which Germany got Poland and the Baltic states, as well as Ukraine. Daryl Bradford Smith repeatedly claims that “the Jews” brought down tsarist Russia, but in fact it was the Kaiser that was ultimately responsible. The only response that a person like Smith can come up with in response to this historical fact is that “Zionists work both sides of a war.” But neither the Kaiser nor Lenin had sympathy for Zionism.

When Ted Pike addresses this point, he blames Jewish bankers in Germany for sending Lenin into Russia. But they couldn’t have done it without the Kaiser’s approval. And he mentions that Jacob Schiff funded the revolutionaries, and this is true, but Schiff withdrew his support after the November Bolshevik coup, as he did not agree with communism.

(6) Ted Pike massive overestimates the Jewish boycott’s effect on Germany. The fact is that Germany was in full economic recovery by 1937 (see Shirer’s Rise and Fall of the Third Reich).

(7) Ted Pike claims that the “International Jewish Encyclopedia” says that the majority of Jews in Russia were “Marxists and social-ists.” First, he conflates the terms “Marxist” and “social-ist” as if they were equivalent. They aren’t. Then Pike says that Eastern European shtetls were hotbeds of Marxist activity; they weren’t – they were hotbeds of religious (not to mention non-Zionist) Judaism, which opposed communism. (8) Ted Pike calls Menachem Begin, Vladimir Jabotinsky, and Yitzhak Shamir “Polish communist leaders.” First of all, Jabotinsky was Russian. Second and more importantly, not a single one of these men was a communist; they were, in fact, extremely right wing and Shamir actually tried to form an alliance with the Axis during WWII. (9) Ted Pike tries to link the ADL to the Jewish Mafia, and particularly Meyer Lansky. Pike probably believes this because Mira Lansky Boland, the granddaughter of Meyer Lansky, worked for the ADL in the 1980s.

(10) Daryl Bradford Smith says that Henry Ford was an opponent of Zionism. No, he was an opponent of Jews, a gutter-level anti-Semite. As this link [2] shows, the majority of people alleging this connection have been either followers of Lyndon Larouche or far-right conspiracy theorists.

(11) Ted Pike says there is no free speech in Canada; he is incorrect. There is no law against denying the Holocaust in Canada, e.g., and the action brought against Ernst Zündel was a civil action instigated by a private citizen.
