Note by Me: One of my relatives went into Norfolk State University. He said that he saw Secret Service people carrying out rifles or guns out of vehicles. He recieved a T-Shirt and souveniors from the folks in Norfolk State University. The President spoke a passionate speech about his campaign and his policies at Norfolk State University. I have history with Norfolk State University. My relatives been into NSU for decades. I have been there on numerous occasions for a variety of reasons. For those who don't know, Norfolk State University is one of the largest HBCUs in America. It's located in Brambleton neighborhood in Norfolk, VA and it's near the historical Booker T. Washington High School on Princess Anne Road. Back in the day, during the summer of 1996, I went into NSU to practicipate in a program as a teenage. President Barack Obama talked about the distinctions between him and Republican candidate Mitt Romney. He talked about foreign policy, education, health care, his family, and other vital political issues in the country. The President was in my hometown again in Norfolk, Virginia. There were health concerns for folks since it was hot. To me, it was hot outside, but it wasn't that hot. It was about 90 degrees with some humidity. Over 11,600 people came to witness the President to outline his policy speech. President Barack Obama outlined his view that he made contributions during his first term and his potential second term can improve the economic & health system of this country. The President will speak on Thursday, but the gracious First Lady Sister Michelle Obama will give her speech tonight. The lesson revolving these circumstances is clear. Irrespective of your personal political philosophy, it is important to hear the President's thoughts & to vote. People died for that right to vote and no human being should be restricted or intimidated from voting. Vote.
