COMMENTARY - Fox News: "Can Rick Warren Save the Word?"
Every week I receive a copy of Rick Warren's e-newsletter http://web.archive.org/web/20061128005359/http://www.pastors.com/ that goes out to pastors and other church and ministry leaders around the world. And every week, I watch as this newsletter endorses, promotes, and exalts the names of people, books and organizations whose spirituality opposes biblical Christianity. In essence, this newsletter is like a slap in the face to those who, in years and centuries gone by, have died defending the true faith and the gospel message of Jesus Christ and did not compromise even unto their deaths.
In this week's newsletter, Rick Warren http://web.archive.org/web/20061128005359/http://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/nouwen.htm quotes Henri Nouwen, who, at the end of his life, said he was uncomfortable with those who say Jesus is the only way to salvation and that he wanted to help people find their own path to God. Nouwen is mentioned in nearly a dozen other newsletters by Rick Warren, and in one newsletter, Warren says his wife Kay loves the Nouwen book In the Name of Jesus, which has a chapter on contemplative prayer. In one week's newsletter, Warren devoted most of the issue to the emerging church, even posting a response to criticism by Emergent Leaders Brian McLaren, Doug Pagitt, Spencer Burke and Tony Jones. McLaren is favorably quoted or mentioned in about seven other issues. Organizations like The Ooze (promoting the emerging church, contemplative and New Age spirituality) is recommended in three issues. I stopped reading from the approved evangelical reading list and began to distance myself from the evangelical agenda. I discovered new authors and new voices at the bookstore- Thomas Merton, Henri Nouwen and St. Teresa of Avila. The more I read, the more intrigued I became. Contemplative spirituality seemed to open up a whole new way for me to understand and experience God. I was deeply moved by works like The Cloud of Unknowing, The Dark Night of the Soul and the Early Writings of the Desert Fathers."
The majority of Rick Warren's newsletters have at least one contemplative or emerging quote, endorsement or recommendation. Some of these weekly promotions include Youth Specialties, Leonard Sweet, Thomas Merton, Ken Blanchard, Laurie Beth Jones, Jim Wallis, and the list goes on and on. Basically, Rick Warren believes that contemplative/emerging spirituality is great and will lead many people closer to God!
This Sunday night, Fox news will be presenting a program called, "Can Rick Warren Change the World?" One Fox headline for this show said, "Can Rick Warren Save the World?" As church leaders and secular leaders alike have found themselves in awe of this man's Purpose Driven paradigm, I, as a believer in Jesus Christ, have been in awe too. But my amazement isn't over Rick Warren's plans to save the world; no, my amazement is over Christian leaders and their blindness to what is really taking place. They have been overtaken and lured by a seductive spirituality that calls itself Purpose Driven, emerging church, seeker-friendly and a number of other names but has its origin in the Garden of Eden when the serpent said, You will be like God.
Alice Bailey http://web.archive.org/web/20061128005359/http://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/alicebailey.htm , the theosophist who coined the term New Age, said that the age of enlightenment (when everyone realizes they have divinity and are united with each other and creation) will not come to the earth around the Christian church but rather through it. When a New Age sympathizer like Leonard Sweet (author of Quantum Spirituality) can talk about global connectedness and God in all in one book then do an audio series with "America's pastor" just a few years later, and no one blinks an eye, then maybe Alice Bailey (who was instructed by her spirit guide)was right.
The Lord will preserve those who are His, and the gates of Hell will not prevail against the church, but the Bible also says that a great falling away will take place before the return of Christ, and if possible, even the elect will be deceived. May we, as believers, by the grace and strength of God, cling to that old rugged Cross that is offered so freely to those who call upon the name of the Lord. And may we stand boldly, as our brothers and sisters of past times did, defending the one message that can save.

NEW AGE : DANGER!
For many years now, I've been up-to-date with what's happening with the New Age Movement; I devoutly read articles pertaining to this Movement so that I may fully understand what the Bible has to say about it, i.e. religious magazines, news media, publications, films, etc. I've also noticed how it has steeped into our Government andhow it is progressing on the Earth.
Words addressed to us as "Citizens of the Earth" are frequently used to give us the illusion that we are a Global community, slowly ending frontiers and becomine ONE as the UN (United Nations). They say that we are all walking hand-in-hand, all with one spirit and that this Global Community must submit to the WORLD CHARTER and WORLD HOMELAND SECURITY to protect the citizens of this wonderful Planet. Fachisism! I have shown you proof that everything is controlled by the NEW AGE Movement who are now aggressive in presenting their "rights" through the GLOBAL CHARTER and new international laws concerning anti-terrorism.
It is imperative to understand the spiritual aspect of this new doctrine because it presents itself as an obligation for all humans who wants to participate in this New World Order; their idealism promotes underlying messages as removing those who oppose the New Era. We have seen how the GLOBAL CHARTER is now in full swing, thus allowing the NEW RELIGIOUS ORDER to settle with much liberty.
Over the years of observation, I see how this evolution has led the people captive into oblivion, where there is no escape, causing people to completely disconnect from the truth. I would suggest you read about "mind control" by St-Germain, evidently known as an "angel very close to Jesus". Here, we see how he brings people to reject all concepts of holiness, repentance and the written Word of GOD. He says that there is neither "good nor bad, but only "experiences" by which to gravitate. No problem, for he quotes: «...and this is where you have to show your resolve to resist them and you can start to dream of the wonderful new Earth that Problems around you can draw you into the lower energies»
Much of these doctrines have creeped into all religions, including Christianity, which is also a vehicled endoctrination passed on to our youth by these satanic evangelists, i.e. Rolling Stones, Madonna and others who are always the invited guests during our cultural festivities. Never do we see Born-Again Christians singing praises during such activities.
I recently received a letter from a mother saying that she had decided to leave her home...and leave her two children behind with her boyfriend because she was exasperated of looking after them since one of them was handicapped. She went on to say how tired she was of wearing a "good mother image" mask and could no longer live sacrificially for her children. She described how she longed for her handicapped son to be hit by a truck, or that she would commit suicide. She wrote: "I'd rather tell myself that all is perfect and that these sentiments of despair are a blessing that I have created within myself" and that I'd rather get the hell out of the situation and leave for some adventure. I want to leave my boys with my boyfriend so that they can live normal lives. Everything is perfect and this sentiment of despair permits me to jump into emptiness, allowing me to live my divinity without any maternal bonds". See French document entitled "JE SUIS" or "I AM".

Are you getting a clearer message about what is happening? I pray for this woman, and for you if you share those thoughts...that you will break these powers of perversion and destructiveness. In the Name of JESUS, I urge you to refrain from those who drag you into this eternal hole of sulfer and fire! The World is taken hostage by such teachings! Be wary of what's being taught in your Churches. Check the spirits to know who where they come.
Friends, let us be more mindful than the old serpent, asking the LORD JESUS to keep us from this evil rudiment because the next years will be difficult as we see how satan has taken a firm position in the higher places of the World.
Our LORD JESUS did not deserve to be mistreated, flogged and beated. He accepted this Sacrifice for all populations until the end, for this was His mission for the Salvation of the World. This is GOD's true love for us. Please do not allow His Holy Name to be blemished and blasphemed at the turn of the hand.
For those who will persist in this way, I tell you this: If you choose these abominations, then go right ahead. You think you are a god? Then try to stop hurricanes when they appear in front of you. You want to believe those religious leaders or gurus that you are a godess? Go ahead, but there will be serious consequences. It is entirely up to you what camp you will choose to serve. Our living GOD or satan?
Know that there is only ONE GOD and ONE SAVIOR. He is calling you over and over again because HE loves you. He desperately wants to protect you from this spiritual web directed by the UN. Come to HIM and HE will lead you like a good shepherd who takes care of his sheep. Persecusion is on the horizon and we must be spiritually prepared to hold fast. Friends, the days ahead will not be easy. The fight for our Faith is here. If you had to meet GOD, are you spiritually ready?
