Point is, there is no way that the Social Democrats are going to get this through the Icelandic Parliament, and if they do, the Icelandic people will take to the streets once again and will force the President to put it to a referendum once again and they will vote it down ONCE AGAIN by over 90% of the vote. We got a full-fledged anti-debt-money-system rebellion going on. And now, people the world over can point to it. This is the battle line now -- our best shot in my lifetime.We need to support Iceland. Let's figure out what we can do to BUY ICELANDIC.

I think this solution is better.

1. The Federal Reserve (made public) must hold reserves of the banks to assure they have reserves. Congress shall control the supply of money.

2. Private banks must be stopped from fractional-reserve banking which leads to bank runs and failures. Full reserve banking should be required.

3. Government would then print money and spend it into circulation on various programs, such as infrastructure. But there should be limits, like 5% a year.


There are presently 1000s of banks in the USA. Requiring full reserve would eliminate about 95% of them and they would never fail.

That guy Gerald Celente is nuts. I don't care if he got the crash right, many people did, on the left and the right. This guy, and Schiff, and Alex Jones, and Glenn Beck, and the tea parties are corportatist shills. It's sad to see real anger, real disulusion, controlled and manipulated by corporate interests. Government healthcare is perfectly reasonable. Government education is excedingly reasonable. I know, because i see it working very well every day. Government can work very well and can give all people access to certain key services. To call this facism, as this Celente dunce did, shows profound ignorance of history and reality. Listen to this and puke.
