Life in early July 2010

Some have called the new establishment report on Climategate a whitewash. An University vice chancellor hopes that the "conspiracy theories" will end. That means that people have no right to question man-made global warming. The so called “independent” inquiry into scientists at The University of East Anglia’s Climate research Unit found that “Their rigor and honesty as scientists are not in doubt." It claimed that the scientists' findings didn't contradict the findings form the IPCC. Edward Acton is the University of East Anglia's vice chancellor. The investigation was biased. It was headed by Sir Muir Russell, who was involved in the Royal Society of Edinburgh. The RSE supports man-made global warming. They want CO2 levels to reduce as much as 80%, which can crush our living standards (and gloal economy) in the world. They want these cuts in the short and not even by 2050 as others desire. Russell's panel had people that agreed with his ideas. This is in contrast to their goal of wanting to not have a predetermined view on climate change and climate science. Russell has called for “a concerted and sustained campaign to win hearts and minds” to restore confidence in the CRU scientists. Professor Phil Jones is now is reinstated in his role as CRU (even though he is a scientist at the center of the scandal). Even an investigation proved that Jones' data was misleading. He failed to act openly to questions about climate data lodged under Britain’s freedom of information laws. “We found a tendency to answer the wrong question or to give a partial answer,” the report said. Some of the email proved that some in the CRU wanted to delete data that wasn't in sync with their agenda. Russell never asked Jones and his colleagues on the email controversy. The report also parroted the findings of The House of Commons’ Science and Technology Committee Report (PDF), released last March after just a single day of oral testimony. Like the government’s report, the “independent” inquiry found nothing sinister in Jones’ use of the words “hide the decline” and “trick” with regards to data on temperature changes obtained from tree ring research. McIntyre submitted notes to the Science and Technology Committee on this very detail of the matter, however, his detailed description was either completely ignored or disregarded. McIntyre submitted notes to the Science and Technology Committee on this very detail of the matter, however, his detailed description was either completely ignored or disregarded. The CRU tried to use the peer review process to ignore alternative views to the mainstream man-made climate change view. The review omitted the temperature tree ring series as well.

The mainstream media constantly ignore the contributions of adult stem cells in the lives of the people. Alex R. Szeles is an example of surviving obstacles. He was a Pennsylvania native. He married his high school sweetheart. He was successful in many businesses, raised 4 children, and has lived to see 18 grandchilldren and one great-grandchild. He wrote an op-ed piece for the Patriot News newspaper. He recalls recieving the shock of his life in April of 2007. This was when he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. This is cancer of the bone marrow's plasma cells. He said that: “My prognosis was that if treatments were to be started immediately, they could possibly buy me two years. But I wanted more.” Alex and his wife Dory went into the University of Arkansas and the Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy. Alex's relief came by way of adult stem cell transplants. As he says in the Patriot-News, "...I love the life that my wife and I have built together. I am fighting for my life with every fiber of my being. I have beaten the odds and am now 36 months past the date of my diagnosis..." Alex said that adult stem cells have successfully treated more than 70 diseases. Thsi is according to the Coalition of Americans for Research Ethics (as found in http://www.stemcellresearch.org/). He said in the Patriot-News piece, “Adult stem cells have alleviated ailments such as diabetes and Parkinson’s disease, and they carry with them none of the controversy that marks embryonic stem cell research, which has cured not a single mouse and involves the killing of human embryos.” Alex goes on to say, “I am not willing to have another life—tiny though it may be—cut short so that I might have a longer life. I stand as a living example of the success of stem cell research, entirely ethical research, which gives hope and life and harms no one.” The mainstream media don't discuss these things. They obsess with the non-effective embryonic stem cell research. Adult stem cells work and they have been proven to help human beings that have a wide spectrum of ailments. Adult stem cell research equates to sound science and good business. Hopefully, more IPCs and adult stem cells will continue to help people. In years to come, it may be that Americans will finally see through the lies of unscrupulous members of the biotech industry and realize that “embryonic stem cell research” is just another term for disaster.

The economy is still in bad shape. Some folks fear another recession in the year of 2010 or 2011. There is a threat of a double dip recession and deflation. Deflation is when the value of money radically decreases that can constrict wealth. The yield on 2 year U.S. Treasuries has fallen to the record low of 0.61. This is a level that hasn't been seen since the time of the Great Depression. In June of 2010, the U.S. workforce shrank by 652,000. This is one of the sharpest contractions ever. The rate of hourly earning fell by 0.1 percent, which increases the risk of deflation. "The economy is still in the gravitational pull of the Great Recession," said Robert Reich, former US labour secretary. "All the booster rockets for getting us beyond it are failing." Home slaes and retail sales are down. Even California is cutting pay for 200,000 state workers to the minimum wage of $7.25 an hour to cover the 19 billion dollar deficilt. Some like Peter Schiff wants cuts in spending. Other people want another stimulus package. The credit crunch continues beacuse of derivatives and too many debts. The stimulus will soon expire. Wealth can continue to contract. More personal saving can make the aggregrate demand decrease since people don't have enough money to spend commodities. Inflation is important to keep under control, but deflation is a real economic threat too. You need some government spending in infrastructure projects, job creation programs, and public works system to grow the economy. You handle the deficilt after economic growth (I mean real economic growth) exists in the picture. I worry about a person dying in the street above and beyond the deficit. You have to have a directed fiscal stimulus to build up consumer consumer, grow the CPI, etc. You don't reduce wage and follow neo-liberal economic propaganda to get things moving again.

Patraeus wants to expand American military forces all throughout Eurasia. Eurasia (including Africa) is a new political battleground for control of the world in the 21st and 22nd centuries. This comes in the Afghanistan war. General David Patraeus leads 142,000 U.S. and NATO troops today. The capital of Afghanistan is Kabul. He served as chief of the U.S. Forces Afghanistan (USFOR-A)/Operation Enduring Freedom and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). The war in the Afghanistan have made the neo cons to call the fighters (in the Taliban, etc.) as armed extremists from other nations. NATO wants a new 21st century Strategic Concept and endorse plans for an integrated interceptor missile grid to cover the almost entire European continent in conjunction with under control of America. NATO chief Rasmussen In reference to General Petraeus taking up his new duties, Rasmussen stated at a press conference with Portuguese Foreign Minister Luis Amado that "It has been a change of command but it will not be a change of strategy." Hamid Karzai wants more U.S. troops to be sent into Afghanistan. Patraeus wants Pentagon and NATO integration to handle the war affairs. He’s the leader of U.S. Central Command (or CENTCOM). He said aht U.S. troops will be placed under the Polish commander, who is responsible for one province in Afghanistan. David Patraeus military strategy is to expand U.S. covert operations in the Middle East, Central Asia and the Horn of Africa is widely seen as a dangerous precedent, with Iran as one of the main target. Some neo cons want military strikes in Iran if the Tehran nuclear program gets worst. That is why America have Aegis class warships in the Gulf with advanced missile radar (and Standard Missile 3 interceptor missiles). The Patriot Advanced Capability-3 theater missile interceptors are to be deployed to Iran's Persian Gulf neighbor states of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Patraues wanting to build a U.S. funded training center in Batken, Kyrgystan is a threat to Russia/China hegemony in that Central Asian region. That is why Eastern European nations have troops serving under NATO in Afghanistan. This is NATO’s first ground war and the future is very uncertain for Afghanistan. The present policy haven’t decreased tension in Afghanistan. It may be 10-20 years before Afghanistan truly calms down into a more tranquil state (because of ethnic rivlaries, conflicts, the power of the Taliban, the opium trade crisis, etc.).

BP is having their set of news. It's been exposed that some BP agents have intentionally tried to prevent journalists from reporting about the oil spill in area. Lance Rosenfield, a photographer working for ProPublica, was filming an oil refinery on public land. He took photos and was followed by local law enforcement. Later, the police wanted to look at the photos that Lance have taken. A BP agent and an agent from Homeland Security tried to intimidate Lance. Lance knew the law, so he refused to hand over the photos to the police. The police threaten him with arrest. When he refused to give the photo to the BP person, the police gave BP private information about Lance. That's illegal since a law enforcement officer can't give a person's private information to a private BP security guard for no reason whatsoever. Even, the police didn't answer Lance's question on why the police officer did this act. Lance replies, “He didn’t give an answer. He said, well, we can — we’re going to do it anyway, whether you like it or not. And we can call our Homeland Security officer, Tom Robison, to come down here and explain it. But, you know, this is what I’m going to do anyway. And he didn’t give me an answer. And then he did call Tom Robison. …this Homeland Security officer came, Tom Robison, it seemed like his only point of being there was to intimidate me.” British Petroleum is colluding with the Department of Homeland Security (and the local police department) to intimidate one journalist. This is important to know about this is an example of a police state. You can't harras a journalist who just shooting pictures of a BP oil referiny peacefully. What’s really scary about this is that BP is a British corporation that is now controlling American law enforcement officials. We fought a war to end British colonialism in America. Today, European colonalism still exist in a slick fashion. The story reveals that the BP refinery being photographed by Lance Rosenfield illegally released 538,000 pounds of toxic chemicals including (according to the ProPublica article): “17,000 pounds of benzene, a known carcinogen; 37,000 pounds of nitrogen oxides, which contribute to respiratory problems; and 186,000 pounds of carbon monoxide.” The government working with BP to omit how damaging the oil disaster is equates immoral behavior. Foreign corporations should not have control over our government at all. Independent journalists long before the mainstream media reported on it found toxic chemicals from the water that they have retrieved from the water. “The preliminary analysis was done at an academic analytical chemistry laboratory,” they write on a YouTube post. “Benzene and other highly toxic contaminants were very low however the concentration of propylene glycol was between 360 and 440 parts per million. Just 25 parts per million is known to kill most fish and propylene glycol is just one of many ingredients found in Corexit. In short, the Gulf is being poisoned by BP’s usage of the dispersants even after the EPA asked them to stop back in May.” According to the Material Safety Data Sheet, exposure to propylene glycol causes liver abnormalities and kidney damage. It “can easily penetrate the skin, and can weaken protein and cellular structure. In fact, PG penetrates the skin so quickly that the EPA warns factory workers to avoid skin contact, to prevent brain, liver, and kidney abnormalities,” reports the Anti-Aging Choices website. Corexit, especially can kill animal life. Almost all of the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska are dead. Some have accused the government and BP of covering up the adverse negative health effects from the oil spill including Corexit.
