Savant's words

The NAZI's are to the right of the Soviet communists but far to the left of the Founding Fathers and most Americans.
But the fascists and the communists are really just two sides of the same coin since they want to accumulate all the power in Berlin, Moscow or in Obama's case, Washington.
The Enlightenment philosophy which undergird the American Revolution and the Republic were to the LEFT fascism and Nazism, and the Nazis KNEW it too. They were quite clear that they had to fight the liberal humanist tradition underlying the democracies of America,France and Britain. And, though hardly the sharpest knives in the drawer intellectually, they saw that the same Enlightenment had also give rise to modern socialism and Marxism. And they SAID as much. It's not rocket science. No Voltaire, Rousseau, Diderot, Montesquieu,Locke, then no Tom Paine or Jefferson. Also no Marx. No Lincoln.(Interestingly enough, there considerable and friendly correspondence between Lincoln and Marx). Modern socialism as well as democracy emerges from that same tradition. Nazism was blatantly opposed to that tradition from which democracy and socialism both emerge.
Anyone who has STUDIED history and the history of ideas KNOWS this much.
Of course, if you're satisfied with uninformed OPINIONS so be it.
Just one thing: Don't embarrass yourself by uttering these absurdly uninformed opinions in other industrialized nations where the population is better informed than here. You will be a laughing stock. But what can I say to someone who doesn't know, won't study, but insists that he's right.
I could propose sources of study if I thought you were honestly interested.

LOL! The same stereotypical white racist assumptions that Blacks (who built America on their bloodied backs) are lazy, and whites presumably industrious.
And again, the only way he can attack a black person far above his mental level is with the same loud epithets "Communist!" and "Idiot" howled to high heaven by the idiotic mobs at the town hall meetings this summer.
For all Truthbetold knows, I ciould well have more money than he does. Indeed, who are the "we" who have money that he speaks of? Afterall, there are tens of millions of poor whites in America. The white poor are larger than the entire black population, maybe as large as the black and Latin population combined. And even if I didn't have as much money as he, I am intellectually and morally above his level.
And I think that's what gets under the skin of so many white conservatives when it comes to Obama. He's above their level......maybe because the FAR RIGHT has marginzlized the more intelligent conservatives that the Republican party and the media used to have.
Now there are mainly clowns like Joe Wilson, and ranting buffoons like Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh.
If I didn't know a lot of decent and inteligent white folks-right, left and center--and if I really believed in the fiction of race, I'd probably conclude that whites were an inferior race.
Exhibit A: "TruthbeTold."
Amen brother more and more people are realizing this. It's a new day in America! I've prayed for this for a long long time. It's time that white prividleged mentality finally died. I cannot stand it when people say I EARNED IT! Guess what we all have and people like Hannity, Beck Wilson and Rush are acting like stupid frantic clowns becasue intelligent people see right through their antics and fear mongering and their growing more desperate every day.

You see in my post that line that's a different COLOR?
Post a LINK, not a LIE.
LOL! I'm a scholar and don't need or depend on links. Nonetheless, interested readers can consult: www.pollster.com/polls/us/fav-obama.php You will find at least a dozen poll sources there.
For example, a CNN poll (10/16--18/09 finds Obama with a 60% approval rating within the PAST SEVEN DAYS.
FOX has an approval rating of 55%(Oct. 13--14)
A GALLUP POLL (my original source) has a 56% approval rating for Obama (Oct. 1--4, 09)
An NBC poll dated Sept. 19--20, has Obama with a 56% approval rating--same as the Gallup Poll which was my original source.
In short, most of the poll from September on has Obama ABOVE 50% approval rating.
One thing one must be careful about is that the poll results vary over time. Also, WHO is polled, what questioned are asked, and HOW those questions are framed, has a lot to do with the outcome.
And one must keep in mind that even the most popular presidents in history do not remain at the height of the popularity. Probably most are lucky if they can retain their greatest popularity longer than (or even as long as) a year.
At present Barack Obama is (despite the hits he took this summer over health care) probably one of the most popular presidents in American history.
His popularity has rebounded since the summer as he became a little more aggressive against conservative foes.
But no one can know just how long his popularity will last. And no president is universally popular. Reagan was very popular with a part of the American popular, and unpopular with other parts. Same could probably be said of Abe Lincoln, John Kennedy and FDR. The same can now be said of Barack Obama. His popularity rating is ABOVE 50%, I'd surmise that it is 56% as Gallup indicated--certainly not MUCH higher or lower.
Also, it is nearly impossible to know just how successful a president will be even if he is popular.
By the way, that PUBLIC OPTION (though not nearly enough in my book) seems to be popular with the American public--about 57% according to polls I've read reported in the WASHINGTON POST and elsewhere.
I think Obama made a big BLUNDER by taking single payer health care off the table, but I suppose the public option (if it's national) is better than nothing.
With this much support, and given the simple JUSTICE of universal health care as a HUMAN RIGHT, I think Obama should stop playing nice, drop this bipartisan diplomacy and simply say the the Republican reactionaries: "Get on board or hit the road, b____!"

SO if iam correct then you are saying that the only reason that ALL white people dislike President Obama is on account of his race? are you saying that ALL white people do not have the brains to decide on whether he is a good or bad president on issues only? Are you saying that ALl white people just cant beyond this? Just a yes or no answer will suffice for me. Or have i misjudged your statement?
REalBrother probably does narrowly interpret things in that way. Frankly, I think that much of the opposition, at least the RAGE expressed against Obama,is really an expression of racism.
But not even all conservative opposition to Obama is reducible to racism.
And there is progressive criticism as well--including from Blacks like myself who supported Obama, and want to be able to support him still but will not uncritically suppor the president.
There are conservative, moderate and left critics whose criticisms principled and not hateful.
And while many people may be surprised there is criticism of Obama within the Black community. And since the American Black community does not have a large politically conservative sector, since most Blacks are center-left (though not far left), the Black critiques tend to be of a more liberal (though sometimes left liberal) kind.
And, of course, we do have Black conservativs--maybe 5--10% of the total, who make right wing critiques.
As you might guess, those I mainly do not agree with.

People swallowing the conservative propaganda that Obama is somehow bringing on Soviet Communism and Nazism (both simultaneously! It's a miracle!), are FOOLS.
Affordable health care is not the sign of the end of Western civilization, folks.
In fact, universal health care would be a sign that the United States is becoming more civilized, that she's joining the civilized world.
Universal health care, univeral high quality education, and the abolition of the death penalty would all be positive signs that our country is joinging the civilized world.

I think that if the President was a true moderate or a true Democrat he would still get criticized, but there would be less bite to it. He told people what he was going to do before the election. In the last year alone, the middle class, particularly the lower middle class saw a tax cut in one hand and multiple tax, fees and fines increases in the other by state, local and federal governments. Look at what we are doing. In a few years we might have gambling parlors every several miles to get revenue from. You get a driving ticket it might cost you 3 to 4 hundred dollars. That is insane. Red light cameras are spreading like Joe Stalin gulags in Siberia. And there are people who like this. But the professors and self important elitists who write ten million pages of bull on most issues, well I do not believe them. Liars they are and self serving parasites of the working man they have been proven to be.
One of the criticisms we progressives make of Obama is that he's TOO MODERATE. We think he should go much further than he has. In particular, he made a BLUNDER in taking single payer health care off the table early in the game. Even the strongest public option is but a watered down alternative, and we may not even get that.
That's what being moderate or centrist gets you. As Obama has been in office a little less than a year, it's still a bit soon for me to make an over all evaluation. Even the most sincere and energetic president can't get but so much done in less than a year. Ithink he should be more energetic, less moderate and more REVOLUTIONARY. He should be at least as assertinve as were LBJ and FDR in moving forward with a progressive agenda. Right now, I've mixed feelings and my evaluation of Obama is mixed as well.
As far as your complaints with Obama nearly all of them were problems that existed well before his election in November of 2008.
