What Time Is It?
July 2006

Half-Past Midnight

Prophetically much is happening that we all should be watching. Around the
world we seem to be in a state of Flux that only seems to accelerate with
time. From North Korea to Russia, Sudan to Israel, so much is happening so
fast one can go into 'information overload' trying to understand it all.
The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall
rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff
of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the
whirlwind. And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he
is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that
rob us.

(Isa 17:13-14)

Israel

Israel is in a fight for its survival as a state and it is under assault as never
before. Islamic radicals in the middle east, neo-Nazi's in the west and policy
makers all over who to this day have never quite reconciled themselves to
the Jews having their own homeland are all converging in an axis against a
people who have been one of the most persecuted in human history.
Israel is center stage for the end times. While famines, earthquakes, tumults
are all happening with increased recurrences and intensity around the
world, what is happening in Israel sometimes seems to get lost in the shuffle
of daily news. Israel has just invaded Lebanon1 as I write this after having
moved into central Gaza. The kidnapping of an Israeli Soldier demonstrated
to the new Israeli PM that Hamas was not really interested in peace and
that Israel's vacating of the Gaza was an error.

This bold move did however
demonstrate to many that Hamas and the Palestinian leadership is not
interested in peaceful co-existence with Israel. It just wanted to use the
incremental 'peace process' as a way to 'drive the Jews into the sea' as many
of their leaders have repeatedly stated. With Lebanon, the Israelis are
targeting Hizbollah, another group whose terrorism is legendary. Hizbollah
also has seats in Lebanon's parliament and has gained a degree of
legitimacy in Lebanon. I think the message being sent to the Middle East,
especially by those who border Israel is that governments that have such
terror affiliated groups in power can and will become targets of the IDF.
While terror organizations
launch missiles into Israel
and kidnap soldiers and blow
up school buses and cafe's,
liberal and progressive
apologists in the west try
their best to excuse the
behavior of the people who
commit these acts and turn
them into some kind of
'freedom fighters'. The lie
has been repeated so long
and so often that Israel

'stole' the land from the Palestinians that no one dare question this
inaccurate bit of conventional wisdom. What is never mentioned by others
but will be here, is that underneath many of today's so called liberal and
progressive movements is a well concealed antisemitism. Anti-Jewish
feelings in the US have not left us. They are still here and while many
Liberals will try to diffuse their antisemitism with a quaint 'oh, I have
1 They quickly left again but will probably return when sufficient military forces have been mustered.

Jewish friends', it hardly proof of a persons treatment or view of Jewish
people. It is akin to saying 'Oh I have a dog, I like dogs'. That may be true,
as long as that dog stays in his place. The same can be said of other racial
groups here in America especially blacks. Many southern whites before the
Civil Rights Act liked blacks, as long as they stayed 'in their place'. Back
then it was 'a n___ ain't got no rights to defend hissef' agin' a white man'
mentality. Today, it is the Jew does not have the right to defend himself
against a terrorist, according to many progressives and liberals.

But on the net, in blogs and articles written by these liberals and
progressives, you hear no balance no fair treatment of Israel's position and
the history of Arab nations attacking Israel in order to 'kill the Jews'.
Instead you hear the constant complaint of how bad the Palestinians are
being treated by Israel. How 'helpless' and 'vulnerable' they are, as they load
up their rockets or construct a bomb in a basement to 'kill the Jews'.
As Israel seems to be preparing to enter Lebanon and recapture part of it, it
seems clear that the days of talking with Hamas and with it Hizbollah are
over. Hamas seems intent on shooting itself in the foot after finally gaining
political power and recapturing Gaza, they refused to deal realistically with
Israel by clearly and unequivocally recognizing Israel's right to exist. Olmert
took a major gamble by pulling out of Gaza and got missiles fired into Israel
as a 'thank you'. Now Hamas is having to deal with an Israel that is
becoming more hawkish than Ariel Sharon. They thought they were dealing
with a kitten and discovered that Olmert is really a tiger. However the
danger here is that there will be a wider War in in middle east. This fear is
real as Israel is making its intentions perfectly clear, especially when it flew
its planes over Damascus and a few days later issuing a chilling ultimatum.
Iran issued its own threats. What does this mean?

First of all in the natural, it means that the prospects for a wider war in the
Middle East just became more real. It means that, as much as we want to
deny it, oil producers are watching Israel's actions with a magnifying glass.
They will naturally wait and see where Israel will stop in her military
incursions. It also means that they will be watching very closely the US
reaction to what some will certainly view as Israeli 'aggression'. It means
that the possibility of middle eastern oil producers playing the oil card, while
remote, cannot be dismissed entirely. Such a move need not entail any
embargo or any overt act. It could take the form of production cuts due to
'maintenance' and 'technical difficulties' driving up the price to levels never
seen before. Such a move would make it clear that these largely Islamic
nations must play to their domestic audiences at home. While most of these
leaders are far more interested in their own sordid pleasures than the plight
of the Palestinians, they must keep their restive populations appeased and
being seen as a tool of America and Israel is not what these leaders need at a
time like this.

The reasons for Israel's seeming reaction to the kidnapping of three soldiers
are not completely clear2 but it seems that the most likely explanation is
that Israel may really be after Iran, which is the major force behind
Hizbollah. The attacks on Lebanon do seem disproportionate to the damage
done to Israel, but then again, using overwhelming force like this sends a
clear and unmistakable message that the cost for the use of terror and
kidnapping will be very, very high in the future. So while many decry what
Israel is doing and decry the loss if life3, let it be known that in our evil age
this is how agreements are eventually reached.

When academics and commentators decry disproportionate force as an
obstacle to peace, they replace analysis with platitude. Lasting peace is
seldom made between equals, but rather between strong and weak.
The United States ended World War II precisely because it was willing
to use disproportionate force. In doing so, it allowed Japan to rebuild
and thrive. England and France did not pull back from Germany and
allow the Nazi regime to re-arm and try again. Wars are fought until
they are won.

Among Israel's neighbors, only Egypt and Jordan have
accepted peace with the Jewish state. In 1977, Egyptian president
Anwar Sadat sought peace only after a disastrous attempt at war.
King Hussein of Jordan also accepted peace — not formal at first —
after understanding the price of war. Negotiations between Jerusalem,
Cairo, and Amman succeeded because they accepted that violence
could not achieve their aims, an epiphany still lost upon many in the
Arab world and Iran. The irony of the Oslo Accords was that those that
fought the first intifada were not those handed the reins of leadership.
Both U.S. and Israeli leaders enabled the Tunisia-based faction of the
Palestine Liberation Organization to take control. Arafat viewed his
chairmanship over the Palestinian Authority as an entitlement,
2 Some think Israel is after a regime change in Lebanon, others think that Israel is trying to pick a fight with Iran who
funds Hizbollah. Others think that Israel sees the clock ticking and realized that if it waits too long these groups will
acquire weapons that will be very difficult for Israel to counter.
3 Believe me when I say I hate to see the loss of life, whether it is the Lebanese child who gets killed with an Israeli

missile on his way to school or the Israeli woman who gets rocketed into a million pieces on her way to market.

without understanding his responsibility. Michael Rubin (Middle East
Forum)

So what is the likely result to be? It is difficult to say. But on the spiritual
side we can expect a great deal more trouble in this region of the world.
Satan has always hated the Jews. Plain and simple. This is largely because
they were and still are a pivotal part of God's plan to save man. Because
Christ will one day reign in Jerusalem, Satan wants his man there as well to
bring in his era of false peace. While some may argue weather or not the
coming man of sin will ever truly rule from Jerusalem it does appear that all
of the world's major religions are focused on it, Islam. Christianity (both
Catholicism and to slightly lesser degree apostate, mainly US protestantism)
and Judaism all are looking to capture the holy city for their own.
What else is there in the wind?

Who knows, but should nations like Iran,
Syria and North Korea coordinate their efforts against the US and Israel,
they really could make life for the two hell. What if North Korea decided to
attack the south if Israel decided to attack Syria. What if the two have an
agreement to do just that? These are not academic questions. They should be
on the top of the list of major concerns by US policy makers. Where is
Hizbollah getting its arms from? Iran. These new missiles that are capable
of and have hit the Israeli port city of Haifa and shows the increased
sophistication of the Hizbollah arsenal. One way to find out what the enemy
has is to force them to use it. Now Israel knows what Hizbollah is capable of.
How do these weapons end up in the hands of Hizbollah? They come in
through Syria. Israel is dealing with an enemy who is determined to
exterminate the Jews. This enemy does not want peace, they do not want,
co-existence, they want the Israel wiped off the map and the every Jew dead.
You cannot deal with an enemy like that except with brute force. Israel is
surrounded by such enemies who are committed to her destruction. Keeping
this fact firmly in ones mind may help understand the position she is in
today. Lebanon's self proclaimed Hizbollah leader is no comfort to Israel and
since they view the organization as a terrorist organization (as the US does),
she is going after those who have attacked Israel, arm her enemies and
kidnapped her soldiers.

Heightened Tension

US forces are not equipped to deal with another conflict and should, God
forbid, another one erupt that demands a US response and the US will be
incapable of fulfilling its commitments4. This again is not an academic
question but goes to the heart of America's bombastic and swaggering
foreign policy. Many say it is too easy to blame our polices for the current
state of affairs. I say that they are a very important contributing factor. In
fact these nations (whom Bush identified as the 'axis of evil') may be very
well drawing America into a conflict that they know will require a nuclear
response, thus further isolating America from the rest of the world and
probably provoking a stern response for Russia or China or both.
But be assured of this one most important fact; the armies of the world are
going to move in on Israel in the final hours of this age. But before this, the
time of Jacobs trouble will intensify and many horrors await Israel. But
other horrors await those who attack Israel. As Isaiah shows in his
prophecy, Damascus will one day be taken away from being a city and be a
ruinous heap.

The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city,
and it shall be a ruinous heap. The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be
for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. The fortress
also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the
remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the
LORD of hosts.
(Isa 17:1-3)

The Taproot Of The Islamic Spiritual Stronghold

Antisemitism world wide is a raging and growing devilish fire. In Europe
and in Russia neo-Nazism is growing by leaps and bounds as young people
flock to the errors of their parents. In France, attacks against Jews are
becoming commonplace. Neo-Nazi's attack foreigners regularly in Russia
and Germany is fighting Neo-Nazi's in their midst. Around the world the
specter of Nazi's seems to be growing out of the mire of human intolerance
and hate. Jerry Golden's excellent newsletter describes some of the things
witnessed by Jews he meets in Europe.
4 No hyperbole here. Our forces are spent and our equipment is getting ragged as it is being run into the ground. Folks
who want to make apologies for Bush's policies need to take their heads out of the TV. The ignorant American is the
biggest danger to the world today and the world is becoming increasingly fed up with American arrogance, ignorance

and violence. It is a nation whose primary exports are weapons, drugs and porn.
If CNN & BBC would report half of the acts of anti-Semitism in France
alone they would have no time to report anything else. But what isn’t
being reported, Jews are being beaten on the streets, Jewish schools
are being burned and Synagogues are half full for fear of an attack.
Jewish men dare not wear their Kippah for fear of being attacked. The
French Jews are moving to Israel today in record numbers and there
are over 600,000 there many of which have already purchased
apartments in Israel for safety to make sure they have a place to come.
England, is under serious threat of an Islamic terrorist attack and the
Jews there live in constant fear of an attack. Holland has all but given
over to the fear of Islamic presence and dare not speak out against it.
-The Golden Report

This Nazi nexus is a serious problem. The New York Times article that
made its way around the web in early July was one of the few gutsy stories
done by the establishment press on this issue. It is far more serious than
most of my readers imagine. It is a growing network of evil and hate that
America ensured survived after WWII when it went into business with
escaped Nazi War Criminals.

While some may have a hard time believing that there is any real
coordination between these groups on an international scale, their growth in
numbers and increasing brazenness should be enough for folks with any
sense to start asking some questions. Conclusion: No one in the Bush
administration will ask any questions.
