Tariffs: The Smoot-Hawley Fairy Tale
By Ricks_-_Surf_City on Saturday, December 17, 2011 - 11:29 pm:
Tariffs: The Smoot-Hawley Fairy Tale
Once again, it's necessary to debunk the Globalist fairy tales about the "damage" caused by the Smoot-Hawley Tariff. Below is a copy of U.S. GDP from 1929 through 1939. These are official government figures from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.
For the chart below: GDP: 1929-1938 only
The Trade Balance is underlined in red. Exports are underlined in blue. Imports are underlined in orange.
(Since space limitation prevented inclusion on chart of years 1939 to 1941, the same chart covering 1929 to 1941 can be found here.)
Notice that there is a slight decline in both exports and imports by the end of 1930. The trade balance remained around 0 during the entire time. Exports bottomed in 1932 — 2 years before any revision or modification of Smoot-Hawley occurred.
The Smoot-Hawley Tariff was signed into law on June 17, 1930, and raised U.S. tariffs on over 20,000 imported goods. Legislation was passed in 1934 that weakened the effect of the Smoot-Hawley Tariff. In effect, the legislation functionally repealed Smoot-Hawley. Thus, the effects of Smoot-Hawley cover only the period between June 17, 1930, and 1934. This is the time frame that should be focused on.
So in reviewing the chart, where is the evidence that the Smoot-Hawley Tariff caused major damage to the economy?? Is there any at all?
The US was already in a Depression. Prior to Smoot-Hawley, the 1929 Trade Surplus was +0.38% of our GDP.
Let's focus on exports alone. Exports were $5.9 billion in 1929, and had declined to $2.9 billion in 1933. This $3 billion decline was roughly 3.8% of our 1929 GDP, which had declined by a whopping 46% over the same period of time. Thus, of the -46% GDP decline, only -3.8% of it was due to a fall in exports.
But the gain from import reduction must also be included. (A decline in imports increases GDP). If the import decline is added back to the GDP total (to measure the net trade balance), the "loss" was only $0.2 billion from our GDP — or less than ½ of 1% of the total GDP decline.
In other words, the document-able "loss" from the Smoot-Hawley Tariff — the "net export" loss — was less than ½ of 1% of our our GDP decline
To put this in perspective, let's compare all the GDP components together:
1929 .......................................................... 1933
GDP $103.6 billion--------------------->$56.4 billion ( -$47.2 billion)
Consum. Expend $77.4 bil-------------->$45.9 billion ( -$31.5 bill)
Private Invest $16.5 bil----------------> $1.7 billion ( -$14.8 billion)
Trade Balance +$0.3 bil--------------->+$0.1 billion ( -$0.2 billion)
Exports $5.9 billion--------------------> $2.0 billion ( -$3.9 billion)
Imports $5.6 billion--------------------> $1.9 billion ( -$3.7 billion)
Again, at the risk of being repetitious, how much difference to US GDP did the export loss make? The Trade Balance worsened by only -$0.2 billion, or about -0.19% of our 1929 GDP, or less than 1/5th of 1% of 1929 GDP. Meanwhile, our total GDP a whopping -46%.
How much effect did a 1/5th of 1% loss of GDP have on the Great Depression, especially when spread over a 4-year period?
From the actual statistics, the true "harm" caused by the Smoot-Hawley is completely fictional. The harmful effects exist only in the minds of self-serving Globalist propagandists.
Based on available statistics, Smoot-Hawley had almost NO effect on the Great Depression. At the very most, caused a -3.8% decline in GDP from loss of exports. But factoring in the GDP increase from a decline in imports, it caused less than 1% of the GDP decline.
The Smoot-Hawley Tariff did not cause the Great Depression, nor did it worsen it or extend it. Claims to the contrary are false and easily refutable. The evidence to disprove those claims is abundant, overwhelming, and freely available to the public. The available GDP numbers completely exonerate the Smoot-Hawley Tariff from any contribution to the Great Depression.
The Smoot-Hawley myth needs to be put to rest, once and for all. The claim that it worsened the Great Depression is nothing but a fairy tale. « Last Edit: Feb 12, 2011, 0:03 by unlawflcombatnt »

Anti-Aging Devices using Adult Stem Cells (One secret out of many of Stem Cell Miracles)
Note by Me: Another secret in living young is to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables like strawberries, broccoli (that helps with fertility including sweet potatoes), pineapples, kiwi, grapes, apples, etc. It's also ironic to mention that some people age less than others. LOL. You know what I'm talking about.

New Year’s Eve “Through the Prism of September 11″
New Year’s Eve “Through the Prism of September 11″
December 31, 2011
Times Square and a surrounding 200 block area will resemble a prison this evening.
Revelers who plan to attend the celebration of the New Year will be subjected to a “magnetometry check” and have their bags searched. There will be “weapons response teams,” horse-mounted police officers, undercover cops, bomb-sniffing dogs and police patrol boats. The Joint Terrorist Task force will be on hand.
COBRA teams will handle chemical, biological and radiological threats and will be pre-deployed to key areas. Manhole covers are sealed, barricades are set up to pen in the revelers and at least 500 security cameras are in place to scan the crowds, CBS New York reports.
“Our helicopters will be up in the air and checking the 200-block area around Times Square,” said New York police commissioner Ray Kelly.
A Joint Operations Center “will be activated, where we have representatives from units throughout the department and federal, state and local agencies. So you can get face-to-face coordination, which is very important aspect of what we do,” he said.
“On New Year’s Eve if you see something suspicious, there should be a police officer pretty much within arm’s reach,” Kelly explained.
“Look at your world or whatever activity you’re engaged in through the prism of September 11.”
Terrorists have not announced they plan to attack Times Square.
In Nevada, the military and cops will violate Posse Comitatus by working “in tandem,” according to the Las Vegas Sun. The troops will be gaining experience in securing areas, working with computer technology and maintaining communication, among other skills, according to the newspaper.
“You’ll see more uniformed personnel around town,” said Nevada National Guard Sgt. Mike Getten. New Year’s Eve is a convenient time for both the Guard and the local authorities to get acquainted, interact and practice working together, Getten said.
“Those heading to the Strip or downtown for New Year’s Eve are asked not to carry large backpacks or bags, and not to have metal or glass containers,” reports KTNV.
In Los Angeles, the police have used the holiday to set-up Fourth Amendment free zones in an effort to revenue enhance people who drink alcohol and drive. “The Valley Traffic Division of the LAPD is not saying where the checkpoints will be set up. The average cost for a first time D.U.I. arrest is approximately $10,000, this does not include costs if there are injuries or loss of life,” reports the Sherman Oaks Patch.
Fourth Amendment free zones will also be set-up in Alabama, Oklahoma, Delaware, Georgia, California, and elsewhere around the country.

I will never be Intimidated from Showing the Truth
Some people want a war in Iran. The recent events prove that militaristic extremists continue to try to provoke a war with Iran. The neo-conservatives are still here and they should be opposed justly. Peace is certainly better than war. America is a paradox. America has some of the realest, down to Earth people on Earth. While, at the same time, America has some of the most evil, materialistic, and war mongering people on Earth too. So, with America’s power, it certainly has the responsibility to do the right thing. The right thing entails ending the war on terror and America workinged with nations to constructively solve various complications. If America doesn’t wake up, America will go into Hell. WWI and especially WWII caused America to be hugely rich, powerful, respect, and yes hated in the world. Even after 9/11, more than 100,000 troops hare fighting in Afghanistan. Even former President George W. Bush was forced to cancel to go into Switzerland for fear of arrest for war crimes and torture. Real people haven’t forgotten about the Bush administrations actions, which are a violation of the Geneva Convention of Torture. So far, the present Barack Obama White House is trying to have diplomatic contacts with Iran, while extremist neo-cons desire a war with Iran. We still have issues. We have new technologies now that promote mind control, brainwashing, and the issuing of propaganda in the world. Congress is immersed with corporate interest and the military industrial complex. The Iran War has been promoted for years by reactionaries. There was the democratically elected and progressive government of Mossadegh in Iran. He was overthrown by the CIA and MI6 during 1953 since Mossadegh nationalized the oil resources (without Western control of Iran’s oil supplies). Once, the Shah was an ally in America after 1953. The populists defeated the Shah and Ayatollah Ruhollah Khoeomi took power in 1979. The Shah lived in huge luxury, but Iran experienced a police state. Nixon loved the Shah (with its corrupt SAVAK police force) and vice versa for oil interests. Nixon tacitly granted the Shah immunity from the crime of heroin production, one of the largest and most profitable industries on earth. This is a fact known by Interpol for decades. Then, America back Saddam Hussein of Iraq back in the 1980’s to attack Iran. Cheney’s daughter, Elizabeth Cheney served in the State Department as the conduit for $85 million per year in funds to “pro-democracy” organizations inside Iran – groups like the Mujaheddin e-Khalq, a Marxist Islamist paramilitary cult of celibate terrorists, commandos, assassins and agents who sublimate their sexual desires for the practice of assassination, bomb manufacture, espionage, torture and terrorism. The USA is funding the MEK to cause trouble in Iran. Even ex-Governor Howard Dean is working with Republicans to remove the MEK form the U.S. listing of terrorist groups when the MEK is a terrorist group. An U.S. drone spy plane was recently shot down over Iran. Even with President Barack Obama’s policies toward Iran, many Republicans think that he is acting too soft. By a margin of 410 to 11 - the House of Representatives just passed a bill that would criminalize diplomatic contact between the USA and Iran. The bill barring diplomacy with Iran is the work of Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, (R-FL) backed by Howard Berman, (D-CA). Like people have mentioned already, similarities between Republicans and Democrats (as being for war and empire) are being established as ever clear. The White House, the Department of State and key members of the Senate are working to ensure the failure of this egregious piece of legislation. So, the agitation for war is there. Even journalist Seymour Hersh believes that propaganda is being used by the now pro-Western IAEA as an excuse to exaggerate the nuclear program of Iran. Many Iranian scientists have mysteriously died by assassins. We should be wise enough to reject these tactics and believe in progressive efforts to stop the rush to war in Iran.
The Drug War has been called a failure by a global commission’s report. The report talked about U.S. officials and former Latin American Presidents. This report is from the Global Commission on Drug Policies. It is found in about 24 pages. “The global war on drugs has failed, with devastating consequences for individuals and societies around the world,” the report states. The report wanted national and global drug control policy reforms after 40 years from the time that President Richard Nixon created the U.S. government’s war on drugs. The commission members have many well known people in it. These people include the following: former Brazilian president Fernando Cardoso, former Mexican president Ernesto Zedillo, former Colombian president Cesar Gaviria, ex-UN secretary general Kofi Annan, as well as former US Secretary of State George Shultz and former US Federal Reserve chairman Paul Volcker. The reportswant the end of criminalization of drug use. It wants reforms in the form of legal regulation of drugs mixed with investment in treatment and public health plus social programs. Such programs are aimed at preventing drug addiction in the first place. I don't believe in the recreational usage of drugs (especially for children), but I do agree with social programs to fight against drug addiction. I do believe that those anti-drug addiction programs are honorable and has worked in the UK, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and other nations worldwide I might add. Some of the committee members have been critical of the U.S. policies involving drugs, because these policies have extended the violence in Latin America. In a statement released by the Commission, Gaviria said, “We can no longer ignore the extent to which drug-related violence, crime and corruption in Latin America are the results of failed drug war policies.” You know the American government and the Mexican government vehemently oppose the criticism from the global report. White House “drug czar” Gil Kerlikowske called the report “misguided.” Office of National Drug Control Policy spokesman Rafael Lemaitre added, “Making drugs more available as this report suggests will make it harder to keep our communities healthy and safe.” Meanwhile, in Mexico, Alejandro Poiré Romero, an official on the country’s National Security Council, said that the government “categorically rejects the idea that in our country a greater effort to enforce the law by the authorities is responsible for an increase in violence by the narco-traffickers.” The report accurately responds to these criticisms that the policy hasn’t work. We have spent billions of dollars in expenditures, we have imprisoned millions of people, thousands of lives have been lost in the Drug War, etc. These actions haven’t radically decreased the supply or consumption of drugs period. According to U.N. estimates, between 1998 and 2008, the use of opiates (up 34.5 percent), cocaine, and marijuana has risen worldwide. The militarization of the war on drugs has made more homicide and violent crimes a reality. Now, the report proves that criminalization of drug use prevents needed services to prevent consumption and mitigate its effects (like HIV transmission among those who inject drugs). The War on Drugs strengthens the prison industrial complex, ruin families, and it doesn’t reducing the use of illicit drugs at all. It also fosters violent criminal organizations. The war on Drugs increased the rate of prisons in America. Entitled “Drug policy, criminal justice and mass imprisonment”, the paper was written by Bryan Stevenson, the executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative. “The increasing costs of mass imprisonment have eliminated funds for treatment and counseling services even though some of these services have proved to be very effective,” writes Stevenson. “In 1991, one in three inmates was receiving treatment while incarcerated; today the rate is down to one in seven.” There is little doubt, given the current round of devastating budget cuts, that the percentage being treated will become far smaller still. Of course, those in prison because of the evil War on Drugs are the poor and minorities in America. For example, only 14 percent of black Americans are drug users in America, but they make up 56 percent of those locked up for drug crimes. So, rational policies are needed to make solutions. In 2004, then Senator Barack Obama called the war on drugs an utter failure. Now, President Barack Obama hasn’t done enough to end this war on drugs. The militarized war on drugs continues in Mexico (which most Mexican people oppose a militarized drug war) and South America. When you think deeper, you see that the War on Drugs has been used as a pretext for the West to dominate influence in the Western Hemisphere. The War on Drugs regularly violates human civil liberties when folks with mere possession of drugs (without doing a violent crime) can be sentenced higher than a person convicted of manslaughter. That’s a total disgrace. Wall Street benefits from the war on drugs. A glimpse of the extent of this relationship was provided last year with Wachovia bank’s settlement with the Justice Department of a money-laundering case involving $378.4 billion dollars from Mexico’s Sinaloa drug cartel. The case was described by the British Observer as just “the tip of the iceberg” of the financial dealings between the major drug traffickers and the biggest US banks and finance houses. We don’t need unjust wars from the war on terror to the war on drugs at all. We need to need this prison industrial complex too that harms manhood and womanhood.
The government shouldn’t be for the rich by the rich. A study shown that almost half of the Congress members are millionaires. There are 535 legislators. There are 100 members of the Senate and 435 members of the House of Representatives. At least 250 of them are millionaires and their median net worth is $913,000. 67 Senators are millionaires and the median wealth of the body’s 100 members is $2.63 million. The Senate has long been a millionaire’s club. It’s recent that the House has member super rich people in them. For the last 25 years, the worth of House members (excluding home equity) has more than doubled. It was $280,000 in 1984 to $725,000 in 2009 in inflation adjusted dollars. During that same period, the median net worth of an American family fell from $20,600 to $20,500. The Washington Post and the New York Times gave front page treatment to the data. The figures come from the Center for Responsive Politics. There is the rising of personal wealth of the member of Congress. There is a growing wealth disparity between the representatives and the represented. The reality comes as debates exist over unemployment benefits, possible cuts in food stamps, and the millionaire tax. There is the proportion of members of Congress who have no net worth outside of their home equity (or the economic position of a majority of the working class). This proportion declined from one in five in 1984 to only one in twelve. The Times contacted the offices of 534 members of Congress to ask if they had friends or relatives who had lost homes or jobs since the 2008 financial crash. Only 18 responded and only 12 reported even a second hand contact with the impact of the economic crisis. The median wealth of the members of Congress rose 15 percent from 2004 to 2010. There is the financial collapse. At least 10 members of Congress are worth over $100 million like Congressman Darrell Issa (an auto alarm manufacturer. He has the largest single fortune), Senator John Kerry, and of course Senator Nancy Pelosi. The wealthy now have strong political influence with the rising costs of congressional election campaigns.The reason is that you need more money to complete a campaign. Some predict that President Barack Obama may be the first candidate to raise and spend $1 billion in 2012. The corporate media talks about Democrats vs. Republicans, but it’s really the working population (and the poor) vs. an isolated, arrogant financial aristocracy. Congress is very unpopular today. Some polls present the reality that only 11 percent of the American people approve of the activities from Congress. 2.5 million people left both the Democratic and Republican parties in America. Independents are growing. A separate survey by Scarborough Research last month found that nearly 50 percent of young voters classified themselves as independent or unaffiliated. More people are discussing about struggle over jobs, living standards, the defense of public services (like education and health care), etc. More people are against the internationalists and the new world order system. So, we can either be a force for oppression, imperialism and war or we can legitimate become the pillars of social justice.

Post-Gadhafi Libya: Naked Neo-Imperialism
Post-Gadhafi Libya: Naked Neo-Imperialism
December 30, 2011
While the unconcealed hypocrisy that led to the emergence of a new Libya fades from the public consciousness, the governments of the West are beginning to reap the profits of their investments. Under a mandate to protect civilians, these allied forces armed radical factions of Islamist fighters and showered white phosphorus tipped ordnance onto densely populated residential areas. While sponsoring politicians equated the Libyan rebels to heroic advocates of western democracy fighting for freedom, these men committed racially motivated beheadings and executions of migrant workers from sub-Saharan Africa and filled mass graves with the corpses of their fellow countrymen, Gaddafi loyalists.
Before being sodomized with a combat knife and extra judicially assassinated by foreign funded rebel fighters, Muammar Gadhafi oversaw one of Africa’s most prosperous nations. With an annual economic growth of 10% and extensive programs for social welfare, public healthcare and education, Libya was viewed as a place of relative opportunity with numerous jobs for migrant workers from neighboring countries in the region. Gadhafi advocated the creation of an African Union with it’s own Central Bank and Monetary Fund and a Gold Dinar currency, a move that would directly threaten the financial oligarchy of the Franco-Anglo-American powers that funded his demise.
In the crumbling ruins of the new Libya under hardline Sharia law, the abduction and subsequent atrocities against former Gadhafi loyalists are commonplace. As the revolutionary vigor dies down, the seeds of civil war between tribal lines of the armed rebel factions may foment at any moment. It is upon this unstable foundation that an economic protectorate is being born. In exchange for being brought to power, representatives from Libya’s National Transition Council (NTC) have recently visited their former colonial administrators in London to begin awarding contracts to insidious corporate entities who will be commissioned to rebuild the country’s bombarded infrastructure.
The disingenuous Franco-Anglo-American architects of post-Gadhafi Libya are now being given free reign to economically exploit the country they helped devastate. Irrespective of the moral and ethical consequences of their plunder, the colonial administration’s investment of $500 million USD to oust Gadhafi will result in a projected yield of $300 billion USD over a ten-year period. As shares rise for Shell and British Petroleum, staff members of the UK Department for Trade and Investment have begun to establish themselves in Libya. In exchange for French warplanes over the skies of Tripoli, the NTC allegedly promised to grant 35% of its oil contracts to the French oil conglomerate, Total, a corrupted corporate body complicit in the use of forced labor during it’s pipeline operations in Myanmar. Much to the denial of the French Government, the company has been approved to begin onshore oil extraction in the upcoming year.
While places such as Sirte sit in ruin, opportunist American businessmen scour for building contracts. Richard Peters, a construction firm owner whose company is also involved in rebuilding Iraq and Afghanistan after the subsequent US-led occupations has advocated the construction of golf courses and a Disney Land, suggesting that the Libyan people could really do with a little entertainment. On a recent trip to Libya, John Laughland from the Institute for Democracy and Cooperation reported that the NTC was fully aware that the Libyan assets frozen in western banks would be unfrozen and redistributed to the nations originally responsible for orchestrating the NATO bombardment. As an economic client state masquerading as a liberated nation, the new Libyan regime owes its entire sovereignty and legitimacy to colonial European powers responsible for fomenting anarchy and civil war within their country.
It is interesting to note that the NTC declined business opportunities to countries opposed to the way NATO interpreted its mandate, such as Germany, China and Russia. Several billion dollars worth of construction and arms contracts between Russia and Gadhafi’s government are now contested and subject to revaluation. In 2010, China was the recipient of 11% of Libya’s oil exports and maintained approximately 30,000 workers in Libya through China’s National Petroleum Corporation. It remains unclear if these nations will be able to fully reclaim their business interests in the country.
While corporate opportunists talk of developing Libya to become the next Dubai, cases of political executions and atrocities against Gadhafi loyalists are a non-issue to the NTC and major media outlets of the West. NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen proclaims, “Our military forces prevented a massacre and saved countless lives”, upon the recent discovery of three hundred alleged Gaddafi supporters who were executed with their hands bound. Tragically, the Libyan people themselves fail to recognize that their country has been usurped. Abdullah Naker of the Tripoli Revolutionists Council recently released the following statement, “We’ve seen many examples in the past when peoples’ revolutions were stolen and we are very clear that our struggle is far from over. Gadhafi may still come back – in some other shape or form – and in that case, we will have to take up our weapons and defend our revolution.” Unfortunately, Naker’s proverbial Gadhafi has already returned… and he’s wearing a five thousand dollar business suit.

Arab Spring: Egypt Strikes Back
Arab Spring: Egypt Strikes Back
December 30, 2011
The LA Times reported, “Egypt raids foreign organizations’ offices in crackdown. Three U.S. groups are among those raided. Activists say the army is using the ruse of foreign intervention to stoke nationalism and deflect criticism of abuses.”
Photo: (AP) US State Department agitators from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) subsidary, the National Democratic Institute, standby as Egyptian security forces raid their offices. Despite NED veritably being run by Neo-Conservative, corporate-fascists who have signed PNAC documents declaring their intentions of acheiving and maintaining a century of global hegemony, they and the US State Department would decry Egypt’s crackdown on their insidious activities as a slight against “human rights.”
Documented Back-Story of the US-Engineered “Arab Spring” in Egypt
In January of 2011, we were told that “spontaneous,” “indigenous” uprising had begun sweeping North Africa and the Middle East, including Hosni Mubarak’s Egypt, in what was hailed as the “Arab Spring.” It would be almost four months before the corporate-media would admit that the US had been behind the uprisings and that they were anything but “spontaneous,” or “indigenous.” In an April 2011 article published by the New York Times titled, “U.S. Groups Helped Nurture Arab Uprisings,” it was stated:
“A number of the groups and individuals directly involved in the revolts and reforms sweeping the region, including the April 6 Youth Movement in Egypt, the Bahrain Center for Human Rights and grass-roots activists like Entsar Qadhi, a youth leader in Yemen, received training and financing from groups like the International Republican Institute, the National Democratic Institute and Freedom House, a nonprofit human rights organization based in Washington.”The article would also add, regarding the US National Endowment for Democracy (NED):
“The Republican and Democratic institutes are loosely affiliated with the Republican and Democratic Parties. They were created by Congress and are financed through the National Endowment for Democracy, which was set up in 1983 to channel grants for promoting democracy in developing nations. The National Endowment receives about $100 million annually from Congress. Freedom House also gets the bulk of its money from the American government, mainly from the State Department. “It is hardly a speculative theory then, that the uprisings were part of an immense geopolitical campaign conceived in the West and carried out through its proxies with the assistance of disingenuous organizations including NED, NDI, IRI, and Freedom House and the stable of NGOs they maintain throughout the world. Preparations for the “Arab Spring” began not as unrest had already begun, but years before the first “fist” was raised, and within seminar rooms in D.C. and New York, US-funded training facilities in Serbia, and camps held in neighboring countries, not within the Arab World itself.
In 2008, Egyptian activists from the now infamous April 6 movement were in New York City for the inaugural Alliance of Youth Movements (AYM) summit, also known as Movements.org. There, they received training, networking opportunities, and support from AYM’s various corporate and US governmental sponsors, including the US State Department itself. The AYM 2008 summit report (page 3 of .pdf) states that the Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, James Glassman attended, as did Jared C0hen who sits on the policy planning staff of the Office of the Secretary of State. Six other State Department staff members and advisers would also attend the summit along with an immense list of corporate, media, and institutional representatives.
Shortly afterward, April 6 would travel to Serbia to train under US-funded CANVAS, formally the US-funded NGO “Otpor” who helped overthrow the government of Serbia in 2000. Otpor, the New York Times would report, was a “well-oiled movement backed by several million dollars from the United States.” After its success it would change its name to CANVAS and begin training activists to be used in other US-backed regime change operations.
The April 6 Movement, after training with CANVAS, would return to Egypt in 2010, along with UN IAEA Chief Mohammed ElBaradei. April 6 members would even be arrested while awaiting for ElBaradei’s arrival at Cairo’s airport in mid-February. Already, ElBaradei, as early as 2010, announced his intentions of running for president in the 2011 elections. Together with April 6, Wael Ghonim of Google, and a coalition of other opposition parties, ElBaradei assembled his “National Front for Change” and began preparing for the coming “Arab Spring.”
Clearly then, unrest was long planned, with activists from Tunisia and Egypt on record receiving training and support from abroad, so that they could return to their home nations and sow unrest in a region-wide coordinated campaign.
An April 2011 AFP report would confirm this, when US State Department’s Michael Posner stated that the “US government has budgeted $50 million in the last two years to develop new technologies to help activists protect themselves from arrest and prosecution by authoritarian governments.” The report went on to explain that the US “organized training sessions for 5,000 activists in different parts of the world. A session held in the Middle East about six weeks ago gathered activists from Tunisia, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon who returned to their countries with the aim of training their colleagues there.” Posner would add, “They went back and there’s a ripple effect.” That ripple effect of course, is the “Arab Spring.”
NED & Freedom House are Run by Warmongering Neo-Cons
The National Endowment for Democracy, despite the lofty mission statement articulated on its website, is nothing more than a tool for executing American foreign policy. Just as the military is used under the cover of lies regarding WMD’s and “terrorism,” NED is employed under the cover of bringing “democracy” to “oppressed” people. However, a thorough look at NED’s board of directors, as well as the board of trustees of its subsidiary, Freedom House, definitively lays to rest any doubts that may be lingering over the true nature of these organizations and the causes they support.
Upon NED’s board of directors we first find John Bohn who traded petrochemicals, was an international banker for 13 years with Wells Fargo, and is currently serving as a principal for a global advisory and consulting firm, GlobalNet Partners, which assists foreign businesses by making their “entry into the complex China market easy.” Surely Bohn’s ability to manipulate China’s political landscape through NED’s various activities both inside of China and along its peripheries constitutes an alarming conflict of interest. However, it appears “conflict of interest” is a reoccurring theme throughout both NED and Freedom House.
Bohn is joined by Rita DiMartino who worked for Council on Foreign Relations corporate member AT&T as “Vice President of Congressional Relations” as well as a member of the CFR herself. Also representing the Fortune 500 is Kenneth Duberstein, a board member of the war profiteering Boeing Company, big oil’s ConocoPhillips, and the Mack-Cali Realty Corporation. Duberstein also served as a director of Fannie Mae until 2007. He too is a CFR member as are two of the companies he chairs, Boeing and ConocoPhillips.
We then consider several of the certified warmongers serving upon NED’s board of directors including Francis Fukuyama, Zalmay Khalilzad, Will Marshall, and Vin Weber, all signatories of the pro-war, pro-corporate Project for a New American Century. Within the pages of documents produced by this “think tank” are pleas to various US presidents to pursue war against sovereign nations, the increase of troops in nations already occupied by US forces, and what equates to a call for American global hegemony in a Hitlerian 90 page document titled “Rebuilding Americas Defenses.” As we will see, this warmongering think tank serves as a nexus around which fellow disingenuous rights advocate Freedom House also gravitates.
The “Statement of Principles,” signed off by NED chairmen Francis Fukuyama, Zalmay Khalilzad, and Vin Weber, states, “we need to accept responsibility for America’s unique role in preserving and extending an international order friendly to our security, our prosperity, and our principles.” Of course by “international order” they mean meddling beyond the sovereign borders of the United States and is merely used as a euphemism for global imperialism. Other Neo-Con that signed their name to this statement include Freedom House’s Paula Dobriansky, Dan Quayle (formally), and Donald Rumsfeld (formally), along with Paul Wolfowitz, Dick Cheney, Eliot Cohen, and Elliot Abrams.
A PNAC “Statment on Post-War Iraq” regarding a wholehearted endorsement of nation-building features the signatures of NED chairman Will Marshall, Freedom House’s Frank Carlucci (2002), and James Woolsey (formally), along with Martin Indyk (Lowy Institute board member, co-author of the conspiring “Which Path to Persia?” report), and William Kristol and Robert Kagan both of the warmongering Foreign Policy Initiative. It should be noted that the Foreign Policy Initiative (FPI) is, for all intents and purposes, PNAC’s latest incarnation and just recently featured an open letter to House Republicans calling on them to disregard the will of the American people and continue pursuing the war in Libya. The FPI letter even suggests that the UN resolution authorizing the war in the first place, was holding America “hostage” and that it should be exceeded in order to do more to “help the Libyan opposition.”
An untitled PNAC letter addressed to then US President George Bush regarding a general call for global warmongering received the seal of approval from Freedom Houses’ Ellen Bork (2007), Ken Adelman (also former lobbyist for Thailand’s Thaksin Shinawatra via Edelman), and James Woolsey (formally), along with Neo-Con degenerates Richard Perle, William Kristol, Robert Kagan, and the always disingenuous demagogue Daniel Pipes.
It is safe to say that neither NED nor Freedom House garners within its ranks characters appropriate for their alleged cause of “supporting freedom around the world.” It is also safe to say that the principles of “democracy,” “freedom,” and “human rights” they allegedly champion for, are merely being leveraged to co-opt well meaning people across the world to carry out their own self-serving agenda.
Considering NED and Freedom House’s role in fomenting the premeditated destabilization disingenuously titled the “spontaneous, indigenous” “Arab Spring,” and the true nature of those that constitute their boards of directors, we can examine the LA Times article regarding the recent raids for what it is – a white wash if not an outright lie. Similarly, the US State Department comments made condemning the recent raids in Egypt take on a new, farcical, and very hypocritical tone in light of the documented fraud the US is carrying out through the State Department and the organizations it is on record funding.
The Current NGO Raids in Egypt
The LA Times claims:
“Egyptian security forces on Thursday raided the offices of 17 nongovernmental organizations, including three U.S.-based agencies, as part of a crackdown on foreign assistance that has drawn criticism from the West and threatened human rights groups and pro-democracy movements.The LA Times would go on to describe the US State Department’s response:
The move appeared to be part of a strategy to intimidate international organizations. The ruling military council has repeatedly blamed “foreign hands” for exploiting Egypt’s political and economic turmoil. But activists said the army was using the ruse of foreign intervention to stoke nationalism and deflect criticism of abuses.”
“This action is inconsistent with the bilateral cooperation we have had over many years,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said at a news briefing after the raids. “We call on the Egyptian government to immediately end the harassment of NGO staff, return all property and resolve this issue immediately.”Ironically, US-stooge Mohamed ElBaradei would chime in on the side of the US State Department claiming, “human rights organizations are the guardians of the nascent freedom. Efforts to suffocate them will be a major setback and will surely backfire.” Freedom House director David Kramer, formally a State Department official under the Bush Administation, would claim the Egyptian army crackdown was “an intensive campaign by the Egyptian government to dismantle civil society through a politically motivated legal campaign aimed at preventing ‘illegal foreign funding’ of civil society operations in Egypt.” Meanwhile NDI president Ken Wollack said “cracking down on organizations whose sole purpose is to support the democratic process during Egypt’s historic transition sends a disturbing signal.”
Egyptian soldiers and black-clad police officers swept into offices, interrogated workers and seized computers across the country. Those targeted included U.S. groups the National Democratic Institute, the International Republican Institute and Freedom House, which are funded by Congress to monitor elections and promote democracy overseas.”
We see then, US and Egyptian organizations that are documented frauds acting in absolute concert not only with each other, but in tandem with both the US State Department and a willfully ignorant corporate-media. These “NGOs” are the equivilant of Great Britain’s imperial networks that spanned the globe, supplanted national sovereignty in nation after nation and executed the will of the crown, not that of the people they ruled over from Ireland to India, from Myanmar to the American colonies.
Let us note and expose the perversion of ideals such as “representative governance” cheaply reduced to “democracy” or “mob rule,” and the obscene abuse of concepts such as “free speech” and “human rights” by organizations like NED and Freedom House who have themselves engineered conflicts that have resulted in genocide, state-sponsored terrorism, codified torture and indefinite detention as well as everything else that crawls out from beneath the rocks of Wall Street and London’s brand of corporate-fascism and its willing servants in America’s “Neo-Conservative” establishment and more recently Obama’s supposedly “liberal” presidency.
And while Egypt has taken up the challenge to directly confront traitors and foreign-funded sedition within their own sovereign borders, as has Belarus recently, Egypt is by far not the only nation suffering under the debilitating division and destruction NED and its US State Department-funded subsidiaries sow throughout nations.
Tunisia’s new president had literally served the US agenda for decades via his Paris-based, NED-funded “NGO.” The destabilization that his NGO contributed to paved the way for his coming to power. Likewise, a list of nations are documented to be under similar attack.
Myanmar: “Democracy icon” Aung San Suu Kyi’s entire political apparatus is US and British funded.
Thailand: Fraudulent NGOs like Prachatai, Thai Netizen, and many others are entirely funded by US State Department cash and are insidiously paving the way for Wall Street servant Thaksin Shinawatra to remove Thailand’s traditional institutions and replace it with US-installed “civil society.”
Russia: Moscow’s streets have been choked week after week with protesters led by verified servants of the US State Department, funded for years by NED and whose foreign-funded NGOs constitute the entirety of accusations of “fraud” in Russia’s recent elections.
Malaysia: NED-funded “Bersih” protesters are attempting to sow division and instability to pave the way for IMF stooge Anwar Ibrahim to return to power and enter the people of Malaysia back under Anglo-American servitude.
Egypt and Belarus have given the world a model to follow. Instead of striking out at throngs of protesters manipulated and used by these insidious organizations as the Egyptian military has been doing, they are now striking at the organizations and the foreign-funded traitors doing the manipulation in the first place. By exposing and attacking Wall Street and London’s network of insidious agents directly, the global destabilization they are attempting to carry out may just very well fail – and not only fail but leave those behind it naked in their megalomania and criminal intentions for all the world to see.
And finally, while Egyptians, and indeed the world, must scrutinize NGOs claiming to promote “democray,” “freedom,” and “human rights,” they must likewise scrutinize those whom these NGOs are attacking. If the forces of “liberal activism” can be so completely hijacked, so can the forces of nationalism. We must then identify the corporate-financier interests driving this obscene agenda, and not only boycott and entirely replace them, but in the meantime, monitor their interactions not only with these NGOs now confirmed to be frauds, but inroads they may be making in compromising the nationalist forccs they are attacking. Eternal vigilance is a price we must be willing to pay if freedom is truly something we aspire for.

Masonic Iluminiati: Created and Ruled by the Black Pope and Select High Jesuits
Scottish Brother-in-Christ Alan Lamont has put together another excellent video. He illustrates the truth of the Black Pope and his highest Jesuits of the 4th Vow ruling what is today Illuminized Freemasonry of every stripe. This key to understanding Satan’s Vatican-led New World Order was mentioned by a little-known 19th century author. Ex-Roman Catholic Freemason/Worshipful Master turned Bible-believing Protestant Edmond Ronayne declared in 1879:
“But notwithstanding this apparently wide gulf thus separating these two terrible powers of despotism and falsehood [Jesuit Romanism and Scottish-Rite Freemasonry---EJP] for the present, yet, should an emergency ever arise when it would become necessary for men to array themselves on the side of righteousness and to defend the pure principles of gospel truth and the full freedom of an open Bible, untrammelled either by Jesuit cunning or lodge duplicity, it is very greatly to be feared that, forgetting their petty differences for the time being, both Romanism and Freemasonry would make common cause and stand shoulder to shoulder, the very embodiment of the works of darkness. We have every reason to thank God, however, for their present attitude towards each other, as two such terrible systems united would be well-nigh irresistible.”*

Homeland Security to Hold Secret Meeting on Domestic “Extremist” Threats
Homeland Security to Hold Secret Meeting on Domestic “Extremist” Threats
December 28, 2011
The Federal Register published a notice of December 28 providing a brief overview on a behind closed doors Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) meeting to be held at TSA headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, on January 9, 2012.
The HSAC was created by executive order on March 19, 2002.
“The HSAC will meet for the purpose of receiving sensitive operational information from senior DHS leadership,” the notice posted on the Cryptome.org website states. “The meeting will address threats to our homeland security, border security, examine U.S. Coast Guard counterterrorism efforts; provide an operational update of the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Frequent Traveler Program; examine evolving threats in cyber security; and provide information on the threat of an electromagnetic pulse attack and its associated vulnerabilities.”
The DHS notice explains that disclosing further details on the meeting would not be in the public interest, although it states that “there will be material presented regarding the latest viable threats against the United States, and how DHS and other Federal agencies plan to address those threats.”
The DHS Office of Counterterrorism will present a briefing on the Department’s implementation plan to counter domestic violent extremism. Providing this information to the public would provide terrorists with a road map regarding the Department’s plan to counter their actions, and thus, allow them to take different actions to avoid counterterrorism efforts.In April of 2009, Infowars.com posted a leaked Department of Homeland Security document warning of a rise in "right-wing extremist groups" bent on violence. According to the DHS, these “hate-oriented” groups “are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.”
Related government reports issued by law enforcement in Missouri and Virginia have classified followers of Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr as potential terrorists.
The HSAC meeting will be held on January 9, 2012, in Arlington, Virginia, from 8:50 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. EST, at the Transportation Security Administration, 601 South 12th Street, (East Building), Arlington, VA 22202.
