Trumps' Second State of the Union Address.

Trump's second state of the Union Address existed in an unique time. The House is mostly Democratic and the Senate has a slightly Republican majority. Donald Trump gave a usual speech that obfuscated issues, used fear mongering plus advocated militarism, and wanted bipartisanship on his own terms. He invoked many things while doing the opposite of tolerance and human dignity with his language and deeds. You can't claim to abhor the Holocaust and then go out to say that white supremacists plus Neo-Nazis in Charlottesville included "good people." You can't do it. 56 percent of Americans, according to a poll, have said that they will never vote for Trump. Many of them are former Trump supporters who had their tax refunds radically reduced as a product of the reactionary Trump tax law that benefits mostly the super wealthy and large corporations (with its reductions in legitimate deductions for some people). The truth is that Trump has been defeated by the November midterm elections, by the shutdown deal, and by liberty loving people. Many people in the Congress wore white to promote the rights of women. Trump invoked the 75th anniversary of the Normandy invasion, which was the largest ambiguous invasion in world history (where the Allies via Operation Overload came into France to defeat the Nazi enemy). He said that he wants to end gridlock and claims that we have rising wages and more GDP yet ignores inflation. Joe Manchin is a disgraceful traitor who genuflects before Trump. Trump has eliminated legitimate environmental regulations, threatened to restrict the free press, advocates for waterboarding, threatens military action against Iran, and harbors a resentment against even peaceful football players using a knell to protest against police brutality (and racial injustice). He is in no position to lecture anyone about democracy or reconciliation.

Trump wants to end the Mueller probe and other investigations, but these probes want to find the truth. They should continue. Also, these probes are headed by people from across the political spectrum, so Trump is a liar to assume that these investigations are completely partisan. Congress has the constitutional right to execute oversight. Trump lies about migrants. These migrants are not caravans of criminals. They are refugees seeking asylum after they have left war zones. He demonized undocumented immigrants when the majority of them aren't murderers or rapists. He red baits by repudiating socialists, but many socialists were involved in the creation of Social Security, the Civil Rights Act (A. Philip Randolph was a socialist), the Voting Rights Act, and other laws. Trump's tirade against socialism shows his ignorance since it's a lie to assume that every socialist wants some totalitarian dictatorship. Far too often, some want socialism for the rich and free market capitalism for the poor as the late Dr. King has mentioned before. Sadly, Democrats and Republicans cheered when he lied about socialism. Trump talked about criminal justice reform, investments for HIV/AIDS, prescription drug prices, and the record number of women in the American Congress in 2019. The First Amendment allows that the right for people to be non-socialist or socialist. Therefore, I will defend the right of anyone to believe in socialism if he or she desires to. He talks about North Korea, Iran, and other nations, but he rejects the legitimate Iranian nuclear deal. The highlight of that night was Stacey Abrams's courageous response to Trump's demagoguery. Abrams praised unions, small businesses, and federal workers. She condemned Trump allowing children to be placed in internment camps.

She exposed Trump and the GOP voter suppression laws. She exposed voter fraud. Trump should be investigated for high crimes and misdemeanors. Abrams criticized the GOP tax scam law and the shutdown used by Trump to promote his vain wall. She wants ballot fairness. Stacey Abrams is the first black woman to give the Democratic response. Stacey Abrams have worked for the people's interests for numerous years. The class struggle is real. We see that in striking U.S. teachers, in the yellow vest movement, and in other advocates for freedom. We don't want militarized cops killing unarmed black people in the streets or very expensive health care. We want an end to capitalist exploitation, to imperialism, to xenophobia, to racism, and to any injustice. Justice and equality are the goals of our existence.

400 years ago is a long time ago, but this tragic event is a key part of American history. In 1619, African slaves were brought from West Africa, by the Portuguese. Later, they were kidnapped again by people using a ship with a Dutch flag. Subsequently, they were shipped to my state of Virginia. These over 20 men, and women were from the Ndongo Kingdom of modern day Angola. It is no secret that the majority of African Americans have West and Central African ancestral heritage. In fact, I'm 86% sub-Saharan African and my DNA is mostly Nigerian and from the Congo.

Now, the capital of the Ndongo Kingdom was the city of Kabasa. The area of Ndongo was set on top of a plateau that was 4,000 feet above sea level. They had palm trees, waterfalls, and lush greenery. The water cascaded down to the meadows where they had farms and raised cattle. The Ndongo people were shipped by the Portuguese including some elements of the traitorous Imbangala group from Kabasa to the location called Luanda. These black men, women, and children slaves were forced to go into Luanda in chains. It is estimated that between 12.5 to 15 million Africans were captured from 1440 until the end of U.S. slavery (or the Maafa). The over 20 black men and women were on the ship called Sao Joao Bautista (the ship had about 350 Africans in total and many of them were Christians).

The 20+ Africans were sent into Hampton by the White Lion ship while the rest of the slaves were sent to other areas of Virginia. Some Africans (who landed at Hampton, Virginia first) came into Charles City, Jamestown, Sussex County, and Isle of Wright. These early generations of Africans at Virginia were skilled farmers and artisans. These Africans had Bantu heritage as most African Americans have Bantu heritage without question. A census by the spring of 1619 had 32 black Afro-Virginians living before the 20+ slaves came into Virginia. So, black people lived in Virginia even before 1619. Anthony Johnson was an African from Angola who came into Virginia in 1621. The 1619 kidnapped slaves were set to travel to Veracruz, Mexico (to work as slaves in silver mines), until the Dutch influenced ships (via the ships of the Treasurer and the White Lion) captured the ship (at the Gulf of Mexico after they left Jamaica) and were sent into at the place of Point Comfort (or Fort Monroe) in Hampton, VA (on the time of August of 1619).

These Africans were some (although not the exact first) of the early black Africans in the British North American colonies. In the case of William Tucker, the first Black person born in the colonies, Tucker desired freedom. He was son of "Antony and Isabell", a married couple from Angola who worked as what other people called "indentured servants" for Captain William Tucker whom he was named after. In actuality, these Africans were slaves and were forced to work against their wills. Slavery against black people didn't start by the Portuguese in ca. 1440. Some of the ancient Romans had black African slaves over 2,000 years ago, and many people of Arabic descent had black slaves too long before the 1400's. Slavery is notoriously evil, and we remember these times in order for us to stand up for justice in general.

STILL WE RISE.
