Planned Parenthood May Have Altered/Forged Abortion Records


January 17, 2008 –

A hearing held Wednesday in Johnson County, Kansas vindicated District Attorney Phill Kline in his effort to expose the altering of Planned Parenthood records. The hearing was to determine if two Planned Parenthood lawyers who were being called as witnesses by Kline in a criminal investigation could continue representing Planned Parenthood. Kline’s motion to have them barred from representing Planned Parenthood was rejected.
However, D.A. Kline’s belief that Planned Parenthood forged abortion records was supported by Judge Richard Anderson who viewed Planned Parenthood records in 2004 when Kline was Attorney General of Kansas.
According to Anderson, the records submitted by Planned Parenthood in 2006 were different than those submitted in 2004. Anderson stated that he had hired a handwriting expert to analyze the records submitted in 2006 and found that there was serious concern that the records had been forged.
Pro-abortion Attorney General Paul Morrison used the same records that Kline originally possessed to dismiss the charges against Planned Parenthood. Kline’s records were determined to be accurate by Anderson and the judge gave Kline the approval to file his 107 charges against the abortion clinic. “Morrison was clearly determined to clear Planned Parenthood, no matter what the evidence,” said TVC Executive Director Andrea Lafferty. “Judge Anderson’s testimony vindicates and justifies D.A. Kline in his filing of criminal charges against Planned Parenthood.”
Based on Anderson’s knowledge of the records from 2004 and the apparently altered ones in 2006, Judge Anderson does not believe Morrison should have cleared Planned Parenthood of the criminal charges.

D.A. Kline has filed 107 criminal charges against the Planned Parenthood clinic in Overland Park. Those charges include faulty record keeping, the performance of illegal late-term abortions, and hiding cases of statutory rape of underage girls.
